"A really nice place clean and quiet"
Service is OK, good position in the city, good to relax !
"Mercure Auckland"
Best than ever: the hotel location just close to the Marine, where several restaurants are excellent choices for dinner or only HH.. They have a great Bar in the top of the hotel, really good to take a beer.
"Worst hotel I stayed in"
We checked in and the room airconditioning was not working. The hotel changed our room and then we discovered the flush system was not working. We complained to the reception and we were advised that the flush system in the hotel was not working (amazing....). We were advised that the flush system will be fixed in 30 minutues. We came back to our room […] 5 hours later and no fix to the flush. After we complained strongly they shifted us to another room. Very poor management in a crisis... Lisez la suite
"Hotel location is excellent"
Situated close to pier and local restaurants this hotel is a good choice. Standard rooms are not so great but an upgrade to a higher floor will resolve this. Restaurant food is delicious however eat earlier in the evening as they start setting tables for breakfast at 10pm. Good gym facility but lack of towels so call housekeeping. Internet in reception […] not fit for purpose as only 6mb for free. After travelling US for 3 months NZ is expensive! Lisez la suite

very convenient location - close to harbour area and downtown shopping.
"Mercure@Custom Road- great location"
Stayed there for 2 nights. Booked thru Hotels.com. At the special request column, requested for a room on higher floor. Was pleasantly surprised to be given a room on the 11 th floor upon checking in.. No great view but room was quiet. Room was clean, std hotel amenities but location was great. Less than 5 min walking distance to Airbus stops. Hotel […] is next to Britomart so easy to get around either via the free Citylink bus or Metrolink buses or even the trains! Lisez la suite

"Mercer Hotel convenient location"
Within walking distance of cruise ship, train station, and central business district. Great location.
"Convenient Location from Airport Bus"
Stay here is you want a very accessible & convenient location from the airport, to the harbour front & shopping belt. My car rental company, Apex, is also just less than 5 mins away by car.
"Mercure Hotel * Customs Atreet, Auckland"
My friend and I enjoyed our stay at this Hotel. It was extremely clean and tidy and the room was very comfortable. My only fairly small problem was that as I arrived at 10pm I was unable to get anything substantial to eat, only some Wedges, and the other thing was we had to wait some time to get the car for an inportant meeting which made us a bit late. […] However I would not hesitate to recommend this Hotel to others. Lisez la suite
"Excellent for Vector Arena"
Friendly staff, great room for the price and a stone's throw away from Vector Arena, excellent choice for the one night stay after a concert.

"Fantastic hotel in the best position"
A magnificent hotel with a amazing view of the harbor and the city from the awesome restaurant on the top floor. Excellent value for money. Thoroughly recommended.
"Mercure Auckland - location is not everything"
I stayed for a few days over a weekend to combine business and holiday. The hotel is indeed very well located within a short walk to everything that counts. The room, however, needs serious improvements. Not only is it loud (from outside - I had a room far away from the lifts) but also old...very old. The AC is dusty and everything else is from the […] 70's - which is good when it's meant to be retro but not when it has actually never been changed. I will not stay here again. Accor unfortunately does not always grant a good stay. I recommend to not stay here. Lisez la suite
The Mercure Hotel, Customs St., is well located for business or holiday visitors - close to Waterfront, Viaduct Basin etc and Buses, and trains etc. I would recommend it to others except for the cold (in both senses) reception area and in the very poor lighting in bedroom area. Perhaps the intention was to create a romantic atmospnere? However, it was […] next to impossibile to read - the lighting is bad! One other poor feature was the lack or chairs - one seat for a double room is odd. Although the staff were offhand about our request for an extra chair they did manage to produce one. Next time I will need to bring a stronger light to plug in! The hotel information brochure are out of date. The Restaurant was not closed for renovations - that, apparently was over a year ago! Also coming from Christchurch I was alarmed at the stupid instructions. They have not been thought through and it makes me wonder what the staff training was like! Even school kids know better what to do. Lisez la suite
"Hotel Mecure Customs St"
Very convienent location, close to shopping, restaurants, waterfront and train stations. Noisy location with traffic at night. Ask for a room that is not near the lifts which at night contributes to the noise.

"Good location isn't worth it."
Don't expect much except good location; however, I know that there are much better hotels nearby, so even if it costs a few dollars extra, it would be worth it to stay somewhere else. I read the reviews online before booking, so I can't say I wasn't warned! Thought I would check it out anyway, the pictures looked nice - figured even if it was a step […] down from those images it would be okay. So I booked the most expensive "King Bed" room for 3 nights, thinking surely, since it was the priciest, it would look like one of the pics. Having read online that some rooms seemed to be nicer than others and that the noise from outside can be a bit overwhelming at night, when my boyfriend and I arrived I asked the woman at the counter if we could please have one of the nicest rooms especially since we were to be guests for 3 nights. She said no problem, and mentioned that our room would be on the 7th floor. I think she assumed a good room meant one with a view of something/anything. When we opened the door to 704, I was shocked and embarrassed. I apologized profusely to my boyfriend, who thankfully knows I would have never picked such a room had I been properly informed. At this point we should have marched right back down to the desk, but we were late for our dinner and evening plans, so there was no time for arguments. I travel for a living, so I have stayed in my fair share of hotels (to say the least). So believe me when I say the room was EXTREMELY small - just big enough to smash in the "King" size bed between the wall and the windows. Which, despite the label "King" (handwritten in permanent marker) on the bed cover, clearly was a Queen. The bed was old, slightly sunken, had two flat pillows, and the spread was a ghastly beige throwback from the 70s. The decor was set to match: boring, beige and ugly. There was an outdated TV on the desk which was attached to wall, two bedside tables also attached to the wall and that was it. That’s all there was room for! The place was Lisez la suite
Great value, very well priced and I would stay there again. Thank you.
"Sucks!"
This hotel really sucks!
"Perfect location"
We stayed in the hotel for three nights before leaving New Zealand. We were checked in immediately with no fuss and the staff were very polite and helpful. The room was a little small but perfect for our needs as we were out during the day. It is within walking distance of restaurants, bars and shops. It is also very close to Britomart which would allow […] one to get trains and buses to other areas outside the city centre. The airbus service also picks up and drops off close by so it is very convenient for people just arriving from the airport or on the way to it. Because of the location I was expecting it to be noisy from the traffic outside but it was not bad at all and had very restful sleeps there. I would certainly stay here again and also recommend it to friends and family. Lisez la suite

"A great location hotel!"
This hotel is in a great location in central Auckland—close to the waterfront and major streets, with nearby bus/train connections. I was a bit soured by my initial experience as it was the first time I ever felt discriminated against for booking with hotels.ca. ---Right—lower floor, street side! (manager) However, I met a housekeeper who had worked […] at this hotel, under various names for almost three decades. She was outstanding and made my stay such a pleasure—even bringing me a heater to be more comfortable. After 4 days I was pleased I had stayed there—it is the location. Lisez la suite

Great location, friendly people great service
"A great birthday treat"
The stay was a 7th birthday gift for my niece, it was the first time she stayed at a hotel and we throughly enjoyed it. The best part of her stay was the chocolate contents in the fridge. I wish we had of stayed at the hotel for dinner as it would have been a lot better then where we went, however we ate breakfast there and that was fabulous. Since […] our stay my niece has not stopped talking about it. Lisez la suite
"Mercure Auckland - Downtown"
Being in the heart of Downtown Auckland, with a busstop right outside the door and trains right next door, meant we could park our car (hotel valet parking) and forget about getting around. Easy access to everywhere. Only 10 mins into Newmarket by bus. Safe surrounds and friendly, helpful staff. Will stay next time we want a few days in the city.
"Mercure Hotel, Customs Street, Auckland"
I stayed at the Mercure Hotel, Customs Street for a week. The hotel rooms are all built around the thre lifts which go through the centre of the hotel and are very noisy. I had a room at the back of the hotel which on most nights was very noisy due to late night party revelers returning home far from sober. The Restaurant at the top of the hotel has […] a very limited menu and isexpensive. On booking in I choose to use the Internet service and booked it for a week @ $80 stated rate, halfway through the week I had a pot up which said I would incur extra charges as I had exceed the size of downloads within that price (it was in VERY small print). As I was staying there on business some of my emails and downloads were fairly large. On booking out I was presented with an internet bill of $190. On compalining the receptioist said it was outside their control and part of their internet providers rates. I travel regularly all over the world and told them I had never been presented with excess charges anywhere else beore and would not be staying withthem again both because of the noisy rooms and the final straw the huge internet bill. NOT RECOMMENDED Lisez la suite
"Four thumbs up"
This hotel was a great deal. If you have a train to catch the next morning at 6am, like I did, this is the place to stay. It's located within 2 blocks of Britomart, so though maybe not a particularly cute neighborhood, it's extremely convenient and it's easy to walk out to other areas or to good restaurants. The hotel itself is pretty nice, clean and […] modern. We couldn't believe the great rate we got on this place and it really made up for a lot of other hotels during our stay that were totally overpriced yet majorly outdated. Lisez la suite
"Hotel mercure"
Great location. Rooms a bit old and mattress could be firmer though
"Nice hotel"
The hotel is located perfectly for eating out and getting to the Viaduct and other tourist locations in Auckalnd. The hotel is reasonably priced, but the internet seems expensive. The staff is friendy and helpful. I tried to call reception with questions on 2 seperate occasions and no one answered the phone, otherwise the service was great.
"Mercure Hotel in Auckland"
Mercure Hotel was very close to the via duct harbour and also in walking distance to the sky tower. Staff were very helpful in giving information and directions. I thought $32 for breakfast was very expensive. But there were many cafes near by.
"Aucland Hotel"
Excellent location, really good views, good front desk help. But $29 a day for internet really soured the experience.
"Mercure Hotel Auckland, 8 Customs Street"
Clean and friendly hotel situated in the heart of Auckland with easy access to city centre and bus stop just outside the door.

Parking is impossible around the hotel so you will have to do vallet. It is $40 a day and not $30 as indicated online. They act very inconvenienced about getting your car for you more than once/day. We like to come and go as we please throughout the day and it just doesn't work at this hotel. Upon checkout they simply gave us our keys and told us where […] the car was parked. They couldn't have it brought to the front of the hotel. It was in a little alley next door with about 4 inches to slide in through the door. No concierge service at all. The employees at the front desk cannot and will not offer any advice or assistance with anything. Internet service is a joke. Good location at least. I wish I would have put more time into searching for a hotel. Lisez la suite

"Good stuff"
I arrived at 6am from the Cook Islands, assuming I'd have to wait until after midday to get into my room. Thankfully the top chap at reception nipped upstairs to confirm that my room was already ready, which he said he thought so but wasn't sure. As a result I got into my room at around 7am thanks to his excellent customer service. The location is […] excellent for the city centre and the overall comfort of the room was good. Not the cheapest hotel I stayed in during my trip but I would definitely consider returning. Lisez la suite
"Mecure Auckland"
Stayed one night on our travels - very nice Motel - only one negative is that we were charged $30 to park car which we were not advised of at the time of booking thru internet. The lady who looked after us and our luggage was so helpful and really nice. Good location right in heart of city and nice view from our room.
"Excellent Location Hotel"
Situated close to the bus/train station, easy access to airport. Close also ro harbour where ferries are and makes sightseeing a breeze. Close to eateries and shops . Really convenient and hotel facilities are good for travellers and holiday seekers.
"Clean, has everything you need in one place"
This hotel is clean, efficient and perfectly situated at the bottom of Queen Street. Close to everything. The bed is very comfortable and the room is well serviced (although they forgot to replenish the tea/coffee necessities in my room). Internet access was a bit up and down.
"Good Experience"
Spent three nts here post-cruise and really enjoyed it. Great location. Restaurant a bit formal/pricey....but plenty of restaurants around the harbour, about a 5 minute walk and a great coffee shop across the street. Just a couple of minutes walk to a Gray Line tour office. Staff is very helpful and knowledgable.
"great place to stay"
The staff was mostly very freindly, however they did get a little hectic and were not as friendly around check-out time. Room was nice and the breakfast was much better than many hotels. The location is perfect!! It would be nice if they had a few more connections for local tours, wine tasting, etc.
