Newport Beach Marriott Bayview - Newport Beach

I wasn't sure what to expect because the price was so cheap and in Newport Beach. The pictures didn't do the room justice. Actually reminded me of a suite at the Balboa Bay Resort which is much more expensive. In addition to the great room I got a $50 credit voucher per night to spend on almost anything which covered the $21 a night parking fee plus […] got me some room service meals! Highly recommended, just know that there is another Marriott across the street from Fashion Island Mall so don't confuse them. I've stayed at that one also and have to say the Bayview (across the street from the Fletcher Mercedes Benz dealer) is nicer and only an additional 5 minute drive. Lisez la suite

Room was very clean and nice. Loved the French doors separating the bedroom from the other area. Pool was also nice with half of it outdoors and half of it indoors. Spa was perfect. No complaints!

Well, the front light switch did not work when we first walked in. They didn't offer to switch our room but did offer to send someone to work on it. Being that after a long drive we were tired, we didn't want to have a stranger around us so we dealt with it. The restaurant was just depressing, kinda mad us sad. However the food was amazing! The staff was friendly, and made reservations at a restuarant recommended by a friend of ours. They also surprised us with a desert!

it was beautiful! Only a little high priced on the amenities. (ie parking, no free wifi etc.)

The staff didn't know I had just had surgery on my gums and had a swollen jaw that almost cancelled our trip to Newport Beach, CA. They made reservations for us at a restaurant friends of ours recommended, and surprised us with a complementary desert. This was an added pleasure indeed (didn't help our diets any though)! The hotel is beautiful, and the rooms are all suites, with french doors. There is a flat screen tv in the living room, and one in the bedroom. The bathroom had a separate shower, and bath tub. The nicest room, I've ever stayed in. My only complaint was with the restaurant. I ordered a N.Y. Steak, which was aged. I was astonished that they served the […] steak on a layer of A-1 sauce? I asked the server why they do that, and he had no idea. He was thoughtful enough to ask if I wanted another steak. I probabaly will pass on the restaurant, if I make it back to Newport Beach. Could not have been better. Close to Balboa Island and Newport peninsula, restaurants. Relaxing atmosphere. Breakfast very good. A good choice!

Very nice hotel. The front desk staff was very helpful and efficient. Great location. I definately recommend this if your'e staying in the Newport Beach area

Very clean and comfortable. The room was a large suite with a living room and bedroom. The bathroom configuration was a bit odd but it worked. The location is great - easy access to the freeways and to Newport Beach. Not many restaurants nearby as it's a business/residential area. Overall, it is a very nice hotel and we would stay there again!

Good food, good cocktails and good gym

These are all suites and the suites are a great size and with the french doors leading to the bedroom, it was completely cool

Rooms were very nice and the outdoor firepit/pool area was very comfortable. John Wayne Airport must not be allowed to fly commercial jets all the time but I do know the start time in the morning was 8am. then 8:02 8:04 etc...

everything was good, but the parking! didn't know that i have to pay $21 for the parking, and when i was checking in, they just asked me that do you park your car in the parking Area, and i said yes! and when i was checking out, i saw the $21 on the bill! i think this is a rip-off.

This was an overnight getaway with my wife for our anniversary while on a business trip. The hotel was very nice. Room was spacious and clean and the bed was very comfy. It was a nice hotel and we had a very pleasant stay. The only thing I would suggest would be thicker and nicer towels. Ours were quite thin.

Great place to stay! Only negative, sewage smell around pool and gazebo area.

The Marriott Bayview was a very nice place to stay! The staff was extremely pleasant and accomodating in every way. The hotel was the perfect size, spacious and inviting. We had several family members staying there and we were able to be together in various spaces such as the firepit in the back. We very much enjoyed our stay. This was one sweet Marriott! Great use of space in the room. Full bath separate from the shower. Separate bedroom....comfy bed. Plenty of different kinds of pillows...both flat and fluffy. If you can't find the kind you need, call the front desk. Great helpful staff, pleasant as can be. Nice pool area with a waiter. Get to the pool early and have a […] cushy double chaise. Good food. Buffet breakfast a bit pricey, but have seconds to make up for it. Had the Cobb Salad for dinner...it was large. Gotta try the Key Lime Pie...yum! Pay to park. My Verizon internet USB worked fine, so didn't need to pay for the interweb. Small refrigerator in the room. Would return in a heartbeat! Lisez la suite

Great Hotel! My husband wanted to celebrate our 22 Wedding Anniversary by staying at a nice hotel and going to Joe's Crab Shack one of his favorites. The hotel was located about 4 miles away which was perfect. The only reason I gave the hotel 4 in some respects is that the Hotel staffer checking us in was the friendliest and did not go above and beyond […] and barely said two words to us. I also had a suite that was beautiful which included a breakfast for 2 the next day for $20. extra $ and she did not give us what we needed for that. I would defineately get the breakfast add on for $20. We had the brunch the next morning worth $39.99 so we saved $20. on that. The brunch was very good. Worth the stay. Lisez la suite

We enjoyed our stay. It is not a fancy hotel but served our purposes. Self park is pricey. No valet service. The staff were all very nice and helpful. The fitness room was great. Even had fruit out and ice cold water and cool wash cloths in a refridgerator! Didn't use the pool but there were several people out there. I don't like that you have to pay $18 to park in an outdoor lot yourself. And pay over $6 for 20 minutes of internet, and no business center.

Very comfortable hotel - great room and location. If you don't need to be right on top of the beach, but near shopping and easy access to shopping and the beach, this is the place. I highly recommend it....

Parking should be free to get more customers. Parking fees are $18.00 per day. Your are more expensive on parking then the Island Hotel....that is better overall but more expensive on the rooms.. I am very disappointed to learn that I was blocked from using my Verizon USB Internet. They wanted me to pay $12.99 or so to use their internet. NO WAY! Great place, nice stay, lovely hotel inside and outside nice grounds to walk on. Very comfortable with tons of pillows. Definitely liked the stay!

The room was very spacious and relaxing. The location is about 5 miles to the beach, a short drive. The restaurant was good especially for breakfast. The only issue was the $18 daily parking fee. We declined and parked on the street about a block and 1/2 away. However lots of adequate lighting. Otherwise a good experience.

We picked this hotel for the location. We had business meetings in Anaheim, but wanted to stay in the Newport Beach area. The location was very convenient, right off the 405. Hotel is also close to Fashion Island (great shopping) as well as good restaurants in Newport Beach. The only complaint was that we booked this room with a hotel/resort credit […] included. We used the credit for breakfast the next morning. However, in looking at the bill at checkout, the credit did not show up. When I asked the front desk clerk she advised that the credit needed to be used on the day of arrival. This was not noted on my hotels.com confirmation. It was also not told to me at check-in. When I mentioned this to the clerk, she did not hesitate to put the credit on. So, it all worked out. Lisez la suite

Located immediately after you exit the fwy.This hotel was very presentable. No problems at check in.More than enough parking to accommodate hotel guest. Only thing that i did not recall reading before i booked the room was that guests had to pay $18.00 for parking. Even though it was raining and i did not have the opportunity to enjoy the pool area.Looks very satisfying to enjoy yourself on a warm summer's day. I would definitely stay at this hotel again. Sushi restaurant down the street, wouldn't recommend..not much of a selection,poor service,prices are pretty pricey. I love all Marriott Hotels, The room was immaculate, the staff friendly, the surroundings beautiful. But most importantly it was very quite.

Very comfortable hotel, nice rooms, and very comfortable beds.

The best hotel experience is one where you don't have to think about the hotel. Checking-in without a hassle, having the room clean and stocked, no surprises with additional fees and charges each raise the "star" rating in my opinion. Newport Beach Marriott Bayview was a nice hotel, nice location, and with no surprises it was a great stay.
