A l'entrée de Freeport "le must" du shopping outlets , sur la route 1 et à 30 minutes de Portland. Inconvénient: proche de l'autoroute et malgré les fenêtres isolées, on entend les camions. Et il faut prendre la voiture pour aller aux magasins mais le parking là bas est gratuit

Nous y retournerons lors de nos séjours à Portland et recommanderons à nos amis. Le personnel est très gentil et souriant. Variété des déjeuners surprenante. Très propre et accueillant. "Everything we need in Portland"
Very comfortable beds, clean room, wi-fi, refrig and microwave in room. We like the high sink in the bathroom, and the in-room coffee and tea. Every spring I travel with my elderly mother to visit my daughter, and we always stay here. We visit with the terrific lady who works in the breakfast room. I loved that the room were so clean, and particularly loved that they wash the duvet covers between guests. Staff was very nice. The only sub-par part of the stay was waking up in the middle of the night to noise from my neighbors' room both nights of my stay, the walls are not as thick as would be optimal. "Surgical stay"
We were impressed with the comfort of this stay. We were in South Portland because my husband was having back surgery. He couldn't eat anything after midnight the night before and the night clerk gave me cereal, milk, and fruit so he could have a light, late night meal. "Convenient location"
It is in a very convenient location. The room we were in was a little small but ok. I thought there was a restaurant and bar in hotel but there wasn't. There was a bar walking distance though. Morning breakfast was great. The ladies kept the food supplied well and did it with a smile. They were very sweet and accommodating to all. The front desk and cleaning service always had a smile and a greeting. We stayed on a Saturday and then came back on a Monday, due to a an overnight trip to Bethel. I spent about an half-hour on hotels.com checking hotels in the area, and reading reviews. I settled on Hampton based on some of the reviews, price, and proximity to New England University. Unfortunately, neither hotels.com nor the hotel itself advises you that the lobby is undergoing renovation. So, banging started at 8 a.m., breakfast relocated to […] a smaller location with a limited selection, and inconvenient entrances to the building. The staff tried, but there was only so much they could do. The room was clean, and the bathroom nice, but the room seemed much smaller and more crowded than pictured. "Noisy Heaters"
The write up on this hotel include a warning that they are working on the lobby area, and boy were they! I think the rate was adjusted, and the staff did a good job compensating. I appreciated the notice. However, the big problem for me was that the heating unit in my room cycled on and off constantly and loudly and kept me from sleeping.
