Hotel Monaco San Francisco, a Kimpton Hotel - San Francisco

J'ai reservé cet hotel pour pouvoir utiliser les salles de conférences mais à l'accueil personne n'a pu me renseigner sur la façon de faire pour organiser une conférence téléphonique. La chambre était propre, joliement décorée mais bruyante car pas de double- vitrage et donnait sur l'arrière d'un restaurant donc bruit de ventilation toute la nuit.

hotel haut de gamme tres sympa, chambres immenses la mienne donnait sur la rue mais je n'entendais aucune pollution sonore grace au vitrage fenetres tres epais mini bar tres bien fourni et garni je vous conseille le salon de l'hotel avec fauteuils plus que confortables, cheminees et cafe toujours a disposition gracieusement (ne pas oublier la degustation […] de vins californiens chaque jeudi de 17h a 18h) Lisez la suite

The hotel was nice and the staff were great. The only downside is the street noise.

The location is great, easy walking distance to many of the cites attractions. The staff was super nice, welcoming me back each time I came into the hotel. The food was wonderful and enjoyed the wine service was a great way to kick off the evening. As a woman traveling alone I felt safe coming and going. I would stay again with no hesitation.

Loved the room. Excellent service. Had a nice stay and would stay there again.

I have stayed at 5 different Kimpton Hotels. I have worked as a contractor on 3 of their hotels. I know what the experience is supposed to be like. It was a pleasurable stay, but I got the feeling that when you book a room on Hotels.com, it immediately puts you in a second class catagory. Everything from the location of the room to the services. I dont […] know if Kimpton has discontinued its turn down service, but I did not recieve it either night. The staff was less than enthusiastic to deal with me. If this were a motel 6, I would give it all 5, but this is a Kimpton Hotel and it didnt live up to their standard. Lisez la suite

I really enjoyed my stay here! The staff there was very nice, helpful and accommodating. I enjoyed the spa after a long day as well as the complimentary wine hour! My only complaint is the neighborhood at night though it wouldn't keep me from staying there again.

We enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Monaco SF. The staff was very helpful and attentive. Our room was clean and nicely decorated. My main complaint is that the room was very small. It wasn't unbearable, but it certainly didn't feel luxurious. I will admit we weren't in our room all that much, but it is nice to have enough room to spread out and not bump […] into each other! There was very little counter space in the bathroom and in the tub for toiletries. Parking was also frustrating. If you want to self-park, the garage is around the block from the hotel. We actually ended up parking on the street two of our four nights; it was easier and free! All in all it was a nice place to stay, but know that the rooms are tiny! Lisez la suite

This is the first and last time I will stay at a Kimpton hotel. We were told the dining room stayed open till ten, but @ 9:30 an employee in the restaurant who was PICKING HIS NOSE, told us it was closed. The room was small and the bed was squeezed into a corner so you could only get out from one side. It had draperies around it that had dirt/stains […] on them! The bed was hard and uncomfortable. The hotel rooms were very well decorated and the amenities were great (actually had Aveda products instead of generic hotel brands). The bathrobes were fun - leopard printed - and the room was very clean. The employees were very friendly and nice, but on both mornings when I ordered room service, it never arrived. I called down 15 minutes after my […] scheduled time and was told it would be there in about 10 minutes. At that point though, it was too late to eat and I had to rush out without breakfast. I use Hotels.com quite often. My husband and I live 45min north of SanFrancisoc, CA. We love to make a spur of the moment stay. I was looking for a nice place, close to most events and easy on the pocket book. We try to pick someplace new everytime. We will definitely stay here again. We were greeted by Johnny, an awesome Valet. Our check-in Clerk was […] Sean. He was very nice. It was our Anniversary, Sean asked why we came to the hotel, I told him why, he surprised us with a bottle of champagne. I could go on and on. The entire staff is A+ customer service oriented. I was there for 2 nights and three days with my wife and two girls. The room was extra small but charges were large. The quality of furnishings were below average,. The sofa bed for girls was very cheap and uncomfortable. Access to the printer and internet cost me $ 20 to print one page. I have stayed in hotels around the world and I will rate this […] 2.5 to 3 on scale of 5. Its proximity to all of FSO attractions is good but for that matter, there are other hotels in the area. Clearly, one of the top picks in San Francisco! Stunning decor, outstanding staff , the magnificent Gran Cafe adjoining , along with hot cider and wine by the large fireplace in the lobby every evening. We've found our new "home" in San Francisco!

I was looking for something cheery for the holidays and Hotel Monaco fit the bill perfectly. They served cider in the evenings and coffee and hot chocolate in the mornings. Had great festive decorations, a nice fire in the lobby and friendly staff. Also, they allow dogs for free! Only minor surprise was no turndown service or cholcolates.

Loved the Hotel Monaco! I have always wanted to stay there. Check another item off the bucket list. Next time we will bring our dog and stay at the Hotel Triton.

Excellent hotel. The rooms are perfect for work; they're also perfect for a romantic getaway. (The large circular mirror overlooking the bed certainly helps with the latter.) It's hard, in fact, to think of a downside. Great location, great hotel, for work or play.

I travel for business weekly, and I truly enjoyed my stay at the Hotel Monaco in San Fran. It's rare a hotel surprises me but this one did - with great service, a beautiful room, plenty of counter space in the bathroom, a great gym, coffee in the morning in the lobby, and a docking station for my ipod. I loved this hotel and hope to be back soon.

You could feel every spring in this very old mattress. Too pricy to stay there with not being able to get a good nights's sleep.

The Hotel Monaco is a lovely boutique hotel just a short ways off of Union Square. The rooms are quite small, but this was the only complaint I can muster.

This was our first trip to San Francisco, so we didn't want to take our chances too much on a hotel. We were not dissapointed. The location was great, and is only a couple of blocks away from the BART, F-Line, T-Line, the hop-on-hop-offs, and all of the other transportation requirements we had. We were close enough to walk to the ferry terminal (half […] hour) and Fishermans Wharf (45 minutes) when we didn't feel like the public transportation. Proper selection of roads makes walking perfectly feasible, even with the hills! The hop-on-hop-off guide did tell us to be careful wandering in dark alleys by ourselves late at night and to stay on the main roads, but we never had any issues or felt any fear that was over what you would expect in a major city. You will encounter many homeless people, but San Francisco is tolerant of this so it is not uncommon in many areas. The hotel service was great, from the guys on the front door to the housekeeping staff. It was also very quiet in our room. We did have to run the ac all night (we like it cool) but that was no big deal. We are not big on experimenting with hotels, so if we go back to the same area again, we will be booking our nights here. Lisez la suite

Surprised about how cosy and friendly the place is. Fresh water supply throughout the day, wine on evenings. Lovely staff. Highly recommended.

The hotel staff was very good and the rooms were reasonable for the price - small, but nicely decorated and clean. When we got to our first room the bed was pushed up against the wall, so that it would be hard to get out of and claustrophobic. I chose Hotel Monaco for our honeymoon - I have stayed there before, and loved the hotel. Our stay exceeded my expectations - the services was fantastic, from the front desk to the concierge to the maid service. The room was quiet, the bed was very comfortable, and we thoroughly enjoyed the spa. The hotel sent us a complementary bottle of champagne […] to celebrate our honeymoon! Worked well for my wife and I spending the weekend in the City for 15th Wedding Anniversary. We rode BART to town and walked the 4 blocks to hotel. Easy walk to Union Sqaure shopping and cable car over to Fisherman's Warf. Loads of restaurants. This part of Geary has a few late night bars that might not work for everyone but we had a blast. Pet-friendly and well priced near Post Street and the theatres.

Hotel Monaco was a great place to stay. Loved the free afternoon wine tasting and massage, loved the location, staff were great and bed and room was comfortable We would definitely stay here again.

stay was friendly and attentive. great locatiion near union square. surprised most restuarants were closed until 5:30pm- some of us like to beat the rush....rooms were comfortable and great decor..

The hotel was very chic with an amazing restaurant. King room was eclectically but beatifully designed. Wine reception in the elegant lobby was a real treat every day. Close to Union Sq and Market St and the theatres.

We stayed here three nights in September. The first room had a poor view but the staff moved us for nights two and three. Great suite and view of Geary st. The spa was nice, although the exercise equipment was a little sparse for a hotel of this size. All in all I would recommend this hotel to others.

We loved this pet friendly hotel - especially the Pug Lucy who greeted us at the reception desk. The room was small but hey - it's an old building. The room smelled really good - which is always a big deal to me. Great boutique hotel experience. They allow dogs, but you wouldn't know it unless you saw one-- the hotel was very clean. Staff was warm and welcoming and when there were some problems with my tv reception, they took care of my room service bill. Great restaurant.

This was a last minute decision and I could not hav ebeen happier. Although we were only there for a couple short hours, the staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel itself is beautiful and modern.
