This plase was dirty, and when we got there we had to change rooms because the first room smelled of mold.
"Nicest Red Roof I have ever stayed at!"
Very nice hotel, nothing like the junk rooms right by cedar point that charge a premium for location and let the rest go. Very spacious room, high ceilings, very clean and quiet. Shower was a little weak but even that wouldn't dissuade me from recommending them. Continental breakfast bar was nice, clean, and constantly staffed, boiled eggs, bagels, […] toast, cereal, juice, coffee, fruit, and you can make your own fresh waffles. Location was close to the freeway, only 10 miles from cedar point, not too far at all, just far enough not to get ripped off, great price and value, I will definitely go back. Lisez la suite

The room was clean and functional. Nothing fancy but not expected at the price. Staff was friendly and efficient. Good value overall if you are just looking for a basic hotel.

It was quite at convnient spot. We stayed for two nights. Breakfast was good. Note that they do not have elevator. Overall good.

Working in the area and needed a place to stay for 3 nights. Some of the reviews were not complimentary but overall seemed OK. We were quite pleased with the hotel. Needs a little fresh paint but the staff were most helpful and all seemed to go well. Children did seem to be allowed to run up and down the corridor without supervision but either parents […] or hotel staff. But we do travel with small dogs and that was not a problem for the hotel either, often it is hard to find somewhere that will allow them (considering many retired folks do travel with their dogs.) "Very clean! Great price for what is all offered!"
My room was very clean and the breakfast was yummy and had a great variety to choose from. However, the pool was very cold and the television quality was very staticy. Overall, I was very pleased with the service and quality and cleanliness of the hotel. I would definently stay here again.

"GOOD FOR CEDAR POINT"
The hotel was nice but out dated. The staff was really nice and their was a great breakfast every morning, the pool was warm and their were restaraunts not to far which was very nice. The only bad thing I can say about it is that my niece left her ipod in the room when we left to cedar point and when we got back it was gone. Good rates and nice stay. This hotel is a few years old so we knew we wouldn't find perfection. It's apparent that this place sees a lot of visitors, but it is in pretty good shape for having constant traffic. The only thing I didn't care for was the smell of cigarette smoke. We were in a non-smoking room but we could smell the smoke from the smoking […] room right next door. I am from Tennessee which is smoke free indoors anywhere but in a bar or night club so the smell of smoke really stands out to us. Most food and shopping is over 6 miles away towards Sandusky but that's not an issue. Lisez la suite

Overall a very good deal. Right off of the OH Turnpike and close to Cedar Point, but far enough away to not have to pay an exhorbitant amount for a room. I was disappointed in the amenities in the room. Only 1 small packet of shampoo per room so you may want to bring your own. We had to ask the maid for more.

A couple friends and myself picked this hotel based on other peoples reviews and the total price for the weekend. We went for labor day weekend. We weren't expecting much and were pleasantly surprised when we checked in. The beds were comfortable, the room was roomy (not small or tight at all). This was important since there was 4 of us in one room. […] The rooms did not smell of smoke either. The continental breakfast was enough to start our day. Would definitely come back here. "Not a bad choice over all"
The best thing about this hotel is its location, right next to the 80/90 turnpike and just up the street from all of the water parks, Cedar Point, Kalahari and Great Wolf Lodge. The pool and work out area looked nice, but honestly we came just for the night. The only complaint we had was our initial room smelled a little moldy and the lights at the […] bed did not work. There was no problem getting us into another room at all and the staff was very accommodating. If you are planning a stay at Cedar Point and don't want to pay a lot of money for a one night stay there this is a very good option for less than half of that. "A pleasant quiet stay"
I stayed on the 2nd floor, about the center of the building - it was pleasantly quiet even though the hotel was fully occupied. Room was clean and comfortable. There is a large breakfast room overlooking the indoor pool. Kids will enjoy this place. There is almost nothing nearby except farms. For plentiful dining options and shopping, drive about 5 […] miles north on route 250. Note, Google maps shows this to be south of the Ohio turnpike but really it is just north of it. Lisez la suite

we were traveling with our dog, and this provided an easily accessible and super friendly stop on our trip east. the staff was incredibly accommodating when we arrived at 2:30am.

"Red Roof Inn Milan- Fair"
Typical mediocre inn. Staff were pleasant enough. The addres was wrong on the web site and on my GPS. The road was labled south instead of north or vise versa. The clerck didn't seem to care. The pool was in good working order. Hot tub was not functional. The Inn was within a few miles of many places to eat and shopping centers.

The hotel was what I expected. It was comfortable, clean, and a good value for my money. The breakfast was ok. There was only one waffle maker and so if you wanted one, you had to wait.

This hotel was clean and very affordable considering it's location near Cedar Point. The continental breakfast was decent, but nothing too special. The pool room was quite cold, and the pool itself was pretty small. This didn't bother us too much because we didn't spend a lot of time at the hotel. My main complaints were that the towels were too rough […] and our shower made squeaky noises when it was on. "A clean place to sleep."
On the upside the hotel was very clean and it was affordable. The location was excellent. Close to lots of shopping and entertainment. On the downside the beds were hard, the pillows were uncomfortable, breakfast was mediocre, and the hotel was slightly outdated. If you are looking for a clean place to sleep and plan on doing a lot outside the hotel […] it is great. If you are looking for a really nice hotel and plan on spending a lot of time there. Great place to stay if you're going to Cedar Point. It's conveniently located not far from the park and a great value. Clean rooms, basic breakfast included. We did not use the pool or restaurant on site.

Arrived to find limited parking late at night. Sign in was less than 3 minutes. A lot cleaner than the other hotels that I have stayed at in the area and would be my 1st choice if I have to return in the future.

"What a Pit!!!"
This hotel was a pit. We got in late about 11:45pm from a long day of travel, got our room no problem. When we entered the room my daughter opened the door and the door handle fell off. Needless to say we had to wait for over an hour for someone to fix it and we were all tire. On top of that the room smelled of wet dog. I guess people are allowed pets […] in the rooms. The beds were like sleeping on boards. We were out of there the next morning with backaches and the smell of wet dog. We learned our lesson, Spend the extra money for a better hotel! Lisez la suite
We stayed at this hotel because it had the best reviews and was not to far from Cedar Point. Although it seemed that our room was clean, it had an aweful smell. Like some kind of chemical. We think it was coming from the air conditioner. I woke up with a sore throat because of it. The pool was much smaller then it looked in the picture on their website. […] It wasn't to bad for just overnight. But because of the smell I will likely choose a different hotel next time, unless they get rid of the smell. Maybe they should clean the air conditioners. The Hotel staff service was good but the room had a mildew smell in it. it was corrected. then i was expecting a iron and board, coffe pot and a frige. but the room had none. i thought it would be two queen beds but it was two full size beds. the was clean. the pool was nice with the sauna and juaquze. the best part was the continential breakfast. they […] had a Waffle maker. but for the price it was good. the hotel was clean and what i expected. since we are gone for the day, the room was only for sleeping and showering in the morning. the pool was small and the continental breakfast left a lot to be desired. they could improve on the breakfast. Stayed in this hotel from 5/31-6/2/2010 went to cedar point each day returned to room found beds made room cleaned everyday, nice hotel for the money spent.

"Good!"
I liked the hotel. It was Very Clean and Well Maintained. The staff was professional and my overall thoughts "I was very pleased"! The only thing I was shocked and displeased about is that there was no Iron/Ironing Board, No fridge or microwave. These items wouild have made me give 5 Stars.
