Hotel très bien placé, à deux minutes de la station de métro Sol. Pleins de restau, boutiques au pied de l'hôtel. Nous avons été "surclassé" en appartement dans un immeuble indépendant, du coup plutôt calme. Seul inconvénient pas de petits déj à l'hotel mais il y a tellement de choix à l'extérieur que c'est vite oublié. Je recommande vivement...

Hôtel propre, à la décoration simple et de bon goût. Proche du parc du Retiro (très pratique pour aller courir), bon buffet de petit déjeuner, service attentif. Seul véritable défaut, les murs et plafonds laissent trop passer les bruits de meubles et de sanitaires.
Des frais pour toute personne supplémentaire peuvent être facturés et dépendent de la politique de l'hôtel.

Au sud du centre se trouve Atocha, la plus grande gare de Madrid qui dessert l'Andalousie par un service rapide et dont l'ancien édifice offre la surprise de jardins tropicaux (et d'un agréable café). Le Musée d'Anthropologie se trouve en face et, de l'autre côté de Ronda de Atocha, le musée d'art Reina Sofia se targue désormais d'une nouvelle section audacieusement moderne de grande qualité. Non loin, le Teatro Circo Price est un cirque traditionnel, idéal pour divertir les enfants.

Tot se fait à pieds sans difficulté. le personnel est très sympa - parle francais pour certain. Les chambres sont confortables. Hotel très correcte, de grandes chambres mais malheureusement pas très bien insonorisées. Situation proche du musée Reina Sofia mais presque à une demi heure à pied de la Puerta Del Sol. Peu d'endroits sympa pour diner le soir. Bref, pas très pratique pour visiter la ville.Avis véridique Hotels.com

Nous avons séjourne 3 nuits dans cet hotel. totale satisfaction, personnel agréable I, chambre propre et spacieuse. Il faut 10 minutes a pied pour se rendre au Prado et 8 minutes pour s rendre au musee de la Reine Sofia ( a ne pas manquer!!!!!!). La station de metro est egalement a 10 minutes . Près de la gare d'Atocha, permettant d'aler faire un tour à Tolède, non loin du centre (20 minutes à pieds avec allure tranquille), à à 5 minutes du reina sofia, 8 minutes du parc Retiro, 10 minutes du Prado, cet hôtel est vraiment parfait pour un week end prolongé. "Séjour agréable à renouveler"
Cet hôtel est très bien situé, près de la gare RENFE et à proximité d'une station de métro. L'hôtel de type "boutique" est très propre et calme malgré la circulation madrilène. Le personnel de réception est très attentionné et répond aux questions avec le sourire et grande gentillesse. Un seul petit point négatif : l'entrée principale comporte une […] marche et ensuite trois autres marches à descendre après la porte tournante. "Excellent choice for traveling via train station"
Great hotel. We used the airporter bus to go from the airport to the train station, then a short, easy 5-10 minute walk to the hotel. We arrived at the hotel around 10:30 AM and they let us into our room.Took a nap, then explored Madrid. The beds are a firmer mattress on an elevated platform, but not uncomfortable. Room was clean, quiet (6th floor) […] and the bath was huge. Watch out, however, where you aim the shower head as the shower door is only a "half door" of glass and you can easily soak the floor outside the shower.Toiletries were included along with a hair dryer that worked just fine for my long hair. There are 3 ATMs for various banks adjacent to the hotel (across a side street), and metro stations both at the train station and one even more convenient only a 2-block walk south of the hotel. There are also lots of small markets and bodegas to buy some snacks or bottled waters (very inexpensive at these markets). The breakfast buffet was excellent. Eggs and various types of ham/bacon, fruit, pastries, coffee, tea and fresh squeezed jiuces. Worth paying a little more for the breakfast included when you book your room ahead. Also, unlike some reviewers, we found the staff very pleasant, although there can be a long trying to check out if you are arriving around 10 AM (as we did) and the staff can be a little harried. "Great place in you're arriving/departing by train"
The hotel was just as advertised for our needs. It was quick and easy walk from the Atocha train station, and walking distance of the central city park (Parque del Retiro) and into the central part of town -- we walked to Plaza Mayor and Plaza del Sol for dinner. The room was clean and modern, though travellers from the US may find it a little on the […] small side, though not overly so -- our bedroom was about 13x11 feet. We didn't try the breakfast, so we can't comment on that. However, there was a really great bakery/pastry shop about halfway up the street towards the station, on the left as you head from the station to the hotel. They got me with the Marriott name in the title - but not up to Marriott standards - very small and noisy rooms (the floors and ceiling must be make of very thin paper! I even heard the sound of a luggage zipper in the room next door!!); elevators made me extremely claustropohic; minimal amenities - no real gym, no real restaurant or bar in the lobby; […] they charge for Wifi in the rooms (free in the lobby); and the TV has only 1 English-speaking channel. "Does not deserve more than two stars."
Very disappointing experience. The hotel does not deserve more than two stars. To begin with, when we checked in, there was nothing to wash with. After a request for soap, we were give two extra containers of shampoo, and two containers of shower gel, which is not very convenient to wash hands. One of the pillows was smelly, nothing bad, an obnoxious […] perfume most likely, but still very unpleasant to use. But the worst thing was the noise. We could hear people on the floor above walking, people behind the wall using their bathroom, trucks on the street - as though the entire hotel was build of cardboard. This hotel was a good price and extremely well kept. I really liked the hotel and room a lot, but there were a couple things that were annoying and would prevent me from giving it a 5 star review. First was the fact the the hotel was listed as providing free wifi. When I got there, I found this was true, but ONLY in the lobby/lounge. If you want WIFI […] in you're room, you need to pay and extra fee. I felt this was an unnecessary annoyance. They also have safes in the room, but it was not at all clear how to use it. It had a large key hole in the front that would certainly imply a large key was needed (which I was not provided). I didn't bother to ask about it since I assumed there was an extra charge for that as well. Usually the room safes I've used have a combination with instructions how to set it. Other than that, a couple small things that I must admit that I knew when I booked it. Breakfast was not included. When I asked about an airport shuttle, I was told that they didn't provide that. Fair enough, but if they don't have a shuttle service, it would have been nice if they provided a list of services that could be hired and perhaps even offered to book it. I discovered the AC hotels on recent trip to Spain. Good quality overall but be warned, no internet access outside of lobby. Cost 18 euros to add to room, which is a major inconvenence when traveling. That said, room while small was well done, very inexpensive, very close to train station (2 blocks) and close to all attractions in madrid (easy walk […] to all major attractions). Unfortunately I also go room in back of hotel next to maid station and was noisy. Not sure if they give this to hotel.com guests or not. "Clean, Modern Hotel"
The hotel is great! It is very clean and modern and the location is good. It is near the Atocha Renfe station which is where you can catch trains to go to other cities or simply catch the Metro. My wife and I stayed in this hotel for 2 nights during our brief stay in Madrid, we would stay here again. my only real complaint is rather than having 1 king/queen […] bed, they pushed together two twin sized beds. The beds were on wheels on a wood floor. So a few times the beds started rolling apart and my wife almost fell through. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. We chose the hotel due to the close proximity to the train station as we had to take the train the next morning. Hotel room was clean but while we stayed, they did not sweep the room nor changed the bedsheet once even though we stayed for 4 nights. Upon check in when we asked if our breakfast was included, the lady at the front desk answered yes. well the next day we had to pay 33 […] euro for 2 as it was not included. It was very close to the Atocha train station which is a plus if you are taking a high speed train from there but the surrounding area was not the best.
