"Close to tube great location"
Had a great room, larger than I thought it would be. The position is perfect, great area and so close to gloucester rd tube. When you are tired and just want to get to your hotel it is literally across the road. Supermarket in tube complex, easily accessible as well. Breakfast expensive tho so we didnt include it.
"Easy to use but small rooms"
Near tube station, staff was very helpful, room was nice but small and the local was perfect for a tourists.

"Best Western the Cromwell"
First stay here. Got a good price next to other hotels in the area. Have stayed at many others in area. This hotel is very good. Lobby not that exciting. Room was newly updated in a modern style, with free wi-fi and very nice. Only had a limited room service menu and only continental breakfast served in room. A minor complaint, and not noticeable if […] you are not interested in that. Had a double bed, and one mattress, obviously the one most used, since nearest to bathroom, etc. was saggy, but other mattress was like new. Otherwise, a fine place to stay. Staff very helpful as well. Would stay again for the right price. Lisez la suite
The hotel is in a good location, convenient to reach the tube station, grocery store and restuarants. The staffs are friendly. The room is clean, nice and newly renovated. Only issue was the size of the room is too small.
"Great location -- good value and attentive staff"
Our room/bath were small but had everything we needed. It was clean, and the bed was comfortable, a/c worked well, and it was remarkably quiet for its placement on a busy road. You can't beat the location across from the tube stop, and it is near many good museums and restaurants. Staff was most attentive, and larger rooms are available at an extra […] cost. Lisez la suite

We were given a basement room which was very small. It does have a window positioned sideways in a small corner of the room which is of no use for natural light. The bed is very hard, the washbasin is cracked, one towel had a tear in it (this was changed). I felt we probably got this room as we booked and paid in advance. Staff were very nice, room […] was clean and hotel in a good location for accession central London. Lisez la suite
"Ok"
Ok hotel. Room was small. Location is great. Food and pubs along Gloucester and old brompton. Try Bella italia. Tube next door. If you don't care about the room size too much then it will do you fine.

"Best Western The Cromwell--London"
The hotel staff is friendly and efficient, and the building was recently refurbished. The location in Kensington is convenient to sites like Kensington Garden, Royal Albert Hall and the Victoria and Albert. The Gloucester Road tube station is a block away, and there are shops, grocery stores and restaurants in very close proximity. Great location! My […] only two complaints are minor: the lift only goes to the 4th floor but there are 6 floors in the hotel. The bell staff is helpful with luggage. The other issue was that my room was so tiny I could barely move in it. The bathroom sink was too small to fill up the tea kettle, for instance. It was clean and well-decorated, but I must have bumped my head on the dormer window 10 times in one evening trying to navigate around the room. Lisez la suite
"Not for a long stay"
This hotel had a good location, very near the tube and easy access to the centre of London. Only problem was that rooms were small and we were shown 3 rooms before we found one that we would consider a reasonable size. Would find it difficult to stay if for longer then a couple of days due to room size.
Very clean and comfortable accomodations for our overnight stay.
"Fantastic stay"
We were pleasantly surprised with our stay! The room decor and cleanliness was top notch. The surrounding area is wonderful with tons of amenities. Our room was next to the elevator, but we didn't hear it at all! So quiet. Right next to the tube, and on the piccadilly line, so it's easy to get everywhere, including Heathrow airport! We are a family […] of three, so the "family room", was one double bed and a pull out leather sofa. My nine year old enjoyed the novelty of the sofa bed!! Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. "Clean but Miniscule Rooms"
Yes, this is England and as long-time travelers to Europe we know rooms are generally small, but the photographs on the hotel page are deceiving; the room (or should I say closet) we had for 2, on the 5th floor, was tiny; only one person could be standing in the room while the other had to either be in the bathroom or laying on the bed. The room was […] quite clean, and the bathroom, although again very tiny, was modern and also clean. There is no air conditioning in the room and the small window opening allows for only a small amount of fresh air; not ideal for travel during the warms summer months. One person would likely find the room sufficient, but it's simply far too small for two nearly six-foot tall adults. Lisez la suite
"Best Western The Cromwell in London"
We stayed for 2 nights on our way home to Australia. The hotel is in an excellent location in Kensington with the underground tube station (Gloucester Road) just across the road from the hotel. It was very easy and convenient to catch the train from Heathrow airport to the hotel. There are also many quality places to dine, cafe's and supermarkets within […] a very short walking distance. The hotel staff were very friendly and very helpful which helped to make our stay even more pleasant. We stayed in many hotels while we were away and this hotel was probably number 1 with quality of service. The hotel itself was in very good condition and well maintained. The room we stayed in was quiet and clean. The only down side to our stay was the size of the room. We found the room very small and after 7 weeks we had quite a bit of luggage and there was not a lot of room to put it in. The ensuite was also very small but clean and modern. We would definitely stay here again as the location was excellent and the hotel was clean with friendly staff. Lisez la suite
"Functional and clean at best"
The hotel is conveniently located and clean, but that's it. The rooms are excruciatingly small with the bed only a knees space from the wall. You'll be lucky if your room has a window! Lastly we had a run in with the staff who charged us additional money because we couldn't get them off the phone to get downstairs fast enough to check out.

"Decent Hotel if you have business in the area"
My room was just fine, but very small - normal by London standard unless you go to a higher price category. Tiny desk and chair could barely fit. Room was clean, bed was comfortable, wifi worked and staff was friendly...
"Best Western - Cromwell; easy location"
Travelling with kids and appreciated the location (grocery across the street and on/off tour bus 2 blocks away). Heavy drapes to allow for sleeping in day light. Rooms were small, but we pretty much just slept there. Front desk held our bags before and after room availability which we appreciated. Metro 2 blocks away. Safe, clean, air conditioned room. […] Only comment was price was high for (lack) of amenities of hotel. Lisez la suite
"Nice Hotel Pity about the room size"
The Cromwell is a really nice hotel, very convenient to the tube, shops, post office and cafe's. The staff were a bit strange, there was not much welcoming warmth with the initial greeting. However the rooms were clean and well maintained. The room I had was very very small, like a broom cupboard. That is really the only downside to my stay.
"Comfotable and cosy"
The hotel was very warm and quiet, with a very comfotable bed. The staff were very friendly. Great room, nice area, very close to Earl's Court. Very highly recommended for a great stay at a decent price.
"Nice hotel"
This is a very nice hotel for a tourist. Less than a block walk to the tube station and the bus stops right in front. Makes travel convenient. The hotel has the basics but is very, very small compared to American hotels. But overall I would gladly stay there again.

"Nice area, small room"
I love that there is a large grocery store across the street from the hotel, and a subway station. Downside was the room was very small.
"Best Western The Cromwell - perfect!"
Perfect! Perfect! Perfect! Location, cleanliness, hospitality - the best yet! My only concern, because it is not a complaint, was the size of our room. I was a bit surprised to see that our bathroom was just as large as the sleeping area. I'm not sure of the size of the room we had, but there was no picture showing how little our room would be. Normally, […] it is not a big deal for my husband and I as we usually travel light. But, the hotel was a stopover for us on our way to a three week holiday. Needless to say, by the time both of us settled our two suitcases each with carryons to match, we were a bit cramped. Overall though, as I said, location, staff, and hospitality were top-notch. Just wish our room was a bit bigger. Lisez la suite

GREAT LOCATION NEAR TUBE STOP, RESTAURANTS, ETC. VERY NICE & CLEAN.
"The Cromwell - Perfect for us"
The hotel was perfectly presented and very clean. The staff were very helpful and polite and checkin was quick and easy. The air con in the room worked brilliantly and was exactly what we needed. Combined with a great location, we loved our stay. Thank you - we'll be back
"London, June, 2011"
The only problem we encourtered was that our room # was 501 and the elevator only went to the 4th floor. You had to walk and carry luggage one floor. For most people that is okay, but some Senior Citizens, a problem. Thank you.
Hotel less than two blocks from the tube. Easy access to tourist locations. Neighborhood was clean and safe even late at night. Hotel staff friendly and helpful. Only negative was size of room. Quite small by US standards.

"Excellent location"
The Cromwell is in an ideal location to take the Underground to just about anywhere in London. The staff was pleasant and efficient. I was expecting a middle of the night call that I didn't get because the conscientious desk clerk wouldn't put it through, so tell them if you expect a call! The free wifi was the best I've ever had. Never had trouble […] connecting from my room. I'd definitely stay there again. Lisez la suite
"Hotel Cromwell Road"
Compared to Canadian Best Western Hotels this hotel left a lot to be desired. Specifically the room was smaller than the one I had in the services some forty years ago. Closet space was minimum and there was no drawer space available. The staff were excellent and very attentive.
"Great little stop-over hotel"
Clean, comfortable and convenient for tube, chain restaurant and museums. Great for an overnight stop-over. Staff were polite and efficient, all amenities catered for (even a toothbrush if you had forgotten it.). Breakfast available, but with Garfunkel's just across the road there's no need. Room small, but to be expected, considering these buildings […] were once homes. Bathroom brilliant. Lisez la suite
"Nice and simple"
The hotel is nice, very close to the tube station (1 minute walk). The room is very small, but ok for 1 traveler. It is clean and the bathroom is new and nice as well. The only down side in the size, but the service of good, so no complaints :)
"Best Western The Cromwell - Comfort and Convenienc"
At first I thought the hotel was a little out of the way, but it's actually very easy to get anywhere in London from there, as the Gloucester Road tube station is right across the street. The neighborhood of Kensington is beautiful and clean, and the Natural History Museum and Victoria and Albert Museum are only a couple of blocks away. There was also […] a pretty good variety of restaurants within walking distance. The service at the hotel itself was good - the staff members were friendly and went out of their way to answer questions, make restaurant recommendations and help me get a taxi to the airport. Since I was traveling alone, my room was tiny, with a single bed, tucked away in a corner on the 5th floor. FYI the elevator only goes up the the 4th floor, so if you have heavy bags you will definitely need assistance! As small as the room was, it was enough for me, and I was really impressed with the efficient use of what space there was. Plus, it was modern and spotless - nice toiletries too! My only complaint was that I was unable to set the temperature of the room to be as cool as I would have liked - it stops going down at 19 degrees celsius. Overall, I really enjoyed my stay there and would definitely stay at The Cromwell again. Lisez la suite

Excellent redo of an old hotel. Outstanding decor and bathroom for the price.
"The Cromwell"
One bus stop at the entrance, 1 a block away along the tube station, making it easy to access transportation to different areas in London. The hotel is easy to get to from the major station & airport. Requires tube changes from the train stations, the tube from the hotel location - does not require any changes and takes at least 30 minutes. Peak travel […] hours may require additional time. The tubes get very busy and crowded making it difficult to bring language. Walking distance to Hyde Park, Natural Museum, Albert & Victory Museum, Harrods, short walk to a main street lined with shops & places to eat. A 10 -15 minute tube ride bus ride to Whitefield a huge major shopping mall. Rooms were clean, roomy, staff exceptionally helpful & friendly. Lisez la suite
"Nice but very compact"
The hotel was nice and the people were great, but beware of the compact size. My room was very small, which was not a problem on a short visit, but the bathroom was tiny and awkward. In particular, the only place to put anything in the bathroom was a shelf above the sink. When I tried to wash my face or brush my teeth, I found the shelf between my face […] and the faucet. And I had to shave in a shadow -- the only light was a small spotlight directly overhead. I wasn't enough of a contortionist to position my face where the light was shining. A little bathroom redesign would go a long way! Lisez la suite
"Tiny room & very expensive"
Door hit the bed when I went into the room!! Worst room I've stayed in for quite a while.
"Convenient and clean"
Great affordable hotel if you don't plan to spend a lot of time there. Clean room, courteous staff and right around the corner from the Gloucester Station. No restaurant, but a small "bar". Comfortable bed and a nice flat-screen TV. Best wi-fi I've ever had in a hotel.
"Hotel Cromwell"
Very clean with good location. Access to underground and numerous restaurants and stores. close to museums and walking distance to Harrod's. Staff really helpful in helping me to check in and get my boarding passes from the airline.
"Mostly good, but....."
Good points of this hotel: Clean, new, modern, has free wireless, towel warmer in bathroom, super close to Underground stop and places to eat. Also, if you get a room at the back of the hotel, as we did, you'll have a quiet, lovely pastoral view. Negative: staff not very friendly and rooms are super tiny. Don't pay attention to the photos - they must […] be of one really fancy room. Any room you'd get through hotels.com is nothing like that. The double bed room is 6 1/2 ft wide by 10 ft long. My husband had to go into the bathroom if I wanted to walk around the bed! The bathroom sink was so tiny that it was hard to use it for anything. They don't offer any amenities like shampoo, conditioner or lotion and there was a stand-up shower only (no bath tub). Not really sure I'd stay there again but I don't have much to compare it to. I've heard all London hotel rooms are super small. Lisez la suite
"The Cromwell London, close to everything"
We stayed here just for one night on business and when we arrived it was at 10:00 am in the morning, check in wasn't until 2:00 pm but the receptionist was very helpful and booked us in, complete with our room. The area we knew and it was close to everything that we needed. The room was a little on the pokey side but as we were there only for one night […] it didn't matter. On checkout we left our luggage at the hotel because we had a late flight and the staff were fantastic, they kept our luggage until we went back at 6 to collect it. All in all, a great experience and will use this hotel again. Lisez la suite
