The room was fine, but I wasn't very happy with the receptionist. I had a problem with the internet terminal and rather than trying to help, or get help, he seemed much more intent on fobbing me off. I practically had to make a scene before he contacted his manager on the phone to help me out. Not a nice experience!

Staff seem uninterested in their guests, no effort put forth to provide some of the little things that separate the nice hotels from the not so nice. 1. Ice machine looks like it stopped working in 1972 2. No electrical service in half of our room 3. The guy at the front dest made us wait 20 mins while he answered the phones before we could finally check in, good thin the lobby was nice so we had stuff to look at. In the rooms it was the most basic that you can get, really nice big tv's though. It was a nice place to stay was very cozy. But I reccomend planning to eat at a diner or something for […] breakfast because it was just horrible... they had nothing stocked and watered down waffle mix, and not a very good selection, and the toster was from like the 1920's but although the food sucked the staff was very friendly. My husband and I booked a 4 day stay at this Flagstaff motel sight unseen and then I read the reviews and they were awful. All the way there I worried because of the horrible things being said about this place. I REALLY don't understand why anyone was unhappy, The room was clean & comfortable. The maid service was outstanding and the people at the front […] desk were extremely friendly and helpful. The only problem that I found was the complementary breakfast but that was not totally the managements fault! Breakfast was suppose to start at 6:00 AM I waited until 6:10 AM when I got there everything was gone but as I looked around I saw that almost everyone had loaded their plate like it was the last meal they would ever have. I got such a good rate on the room that the last thing I would ever complain about is missing out on a doughnut. I plan on visiting the area again next year and plan on staying at the same motel. The reservation was for the 1st floor; however, the manager on duty at the time of check in told us our room on the 2nd floor was ready. When he was shown copies of our reservation confirmation, then he changed our room to the 1st floor. The breakfast had a very minimal selection and the quality of what was offered was not of the best quality. The juice […] was diluted to almost the level of flavored water. Four of us recently stayed at this hotel while attending the Flagstaff Made In the Shade Beer Tasting Festival. The festival started at 1pm, yet this hotel's (incredibly strict) policy is for guests to check-in at 3pm. After a few phone calls leading up to our stay and an hour or two of haggling, the owner at last realized that he is in the HOSPITALITY […] industry, and the cleaning staff was finally asked to prepare our room. (They even left a large ball of soiled linens on the sitting chair, which was a nice touch.) Thankfully, we only missed the first hour of the festival. The unwillingness of this hotel owner to accomodate a very routine and simple request ensured that this will be our last stay at this hotel. There are dozens of other options available in the area - pay the extra $15 or $20 and avoid this hotel and the not-so-sunny disposition of its owner. Lisez la suite

was ok for one night stay. very loud area. hotel key stopped working before we checked out. breakfast was minimal and staff was overly protective of it. tell you when to turn waffle maker over etc. Was annoying. had to ask for mik for the cereal. had to ask for cream cheese for bagels. but price was decent and was close to snowbowl which was the purpose […] of the trip. Ok, really it's not THAT BAD. But there are so many other motels to choose from in Flagstaff. It's very standard and basic. But the thing that creeps me out is after my kids were running around our room for the night, their feet were so dirty. Yeah, that's from the floors of the carpeted rooms. Ewww.

The location of the hotel is good, and our replacement rooms were clean. However, when we first arrived about 4 pm, we were given our 2 reserved rooms. When we got to the rooms, they hadn't been cleaned yet. It was cold out and we didn't think we should have to wait until they were cleaned. We did request 2 other rooms and they were ok. We did notice […] in our room that the smoke detector was disassembled. The courtyard by the pool looked a little dumpy, but maybe because it is still winter? The continental breakfast was ok, but the workers were handling the food (bagels, english muffins) with their hands, without gloves. I think I will try to find a different hotel to stay in next time. the hotel room smelled like urine...we complained and immediately got a new room.

Facility is very dated and in desperate need of upkeep. Carpeting is particularly disgusting, sheets are dingty and pillows lumpy. Definitely not worth the low price. Travelers Motel next door looked much nicer.

The cost of the motel was amazing, unbelievable. It was a perfect location for resteraunts and shopping and also the reason we went up for, the snowbowl.

First, the hotel is extremely clean and the staff were excellent. Don't expect five stars but it is definitely a great value. The surrounding city of Flagstaff is awesomely precious. We totally fell in love with it. Try to go downtown on a Friday or Saturday night to party down with the locals...great people!!!

Very nice place to stay. Price was great. The only problem was the train noise in the back of the motel. Will stay again.

I would recommend you get king size bed. MUCH more comfortable. Overall, the room was pretty good. The front desk clerk seemed a little bipolar at times. I probably would go back.

Hotel was clean, but: the "queen" beds we paid for were really "doubles" (my son's feet hung off the end of his bed); the towels were so thin we could almost see throught them, and there is a train track in back with occasional train noise (get a room in the front). everything was fine not great but the price was rite and the room was clean

Room had refrigerator, microwave. Internet was working well. Bathroom was nice and clean.

We arrived in evening and was please to see this hotel in great condition for the money you pay! One nice thing about this it had its own restaurant and also has option to order your food from many places around. Breakfast was good enough for the price you pay for stay! get there early otherwise it gets crowded after 8.00 am.

The breakfast room was very wide and the offering meal great. The children appreciate the baby-foot game, the piano and the adults the music of the 50's.

Thin towels, stained bedding, dirty carpet. Would absolutely not stay at or reccomend this hotel

Great price. The room had refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker and safe. Staff was very professional. Room looked remodeled. There was a large outside pool.

We stayed here while visiting the Grand Canyon, which was about 1hr 30 away. The hotel was fine for a night or two's stop over. We did have a non-smoking room, but it did still smell of smoke, so if that bothers you don't stay here. The pool was nice & clean, as was reception & they had free internet. Good hotel for the money!

the hotel was cheap enough, but you get what you pay for. The room was musty smelling, bed was uncomfortable and I felt it was not very clean. Door had large areas that were open to the outside element. Very noisey. They had a tour that was staying there and we were put right in the middle of this group who was loud until we finally called the front […] desk at 11:00 alerting them to the noise level. I had called ahead to advise I would be arriving late. Once I arrived the desk attendant was not friendly and seem put-out to assist me. I had pre-arranged for 2 ground floor rooms but was given 2nd floor rooms instead with no explanation why. The hotel is next to train tracks so beware of rooms located on the back of the building. days inn the hotel looks good from the out side but depending on the room you get is a different story.. if you want a nonsmoking room you better check it out before you put all your stuff in it. but the area of the hotel was a good location not to far away from the college.

If you are expecting the Ritz you should keep looking but for the price I really like this hotel. I have stayed here several time in the past & it has always been comfortable and clean. Upon check-in, the clerk was rushed and not helpful even though no one else was in line. Our reservation was in order, but he didn't point out any amenities or locations of items around the hotel (breakfast, activity room, pool hours, etc). The beds were extremely uncomfortable and air conditioning kept going on and off all night. We hardly slept, which was unfortunate since we were heading out to the Grand Canyon to hike in the morning. Breakfast was okay - choices as expected. Hotel staff were very rude, didn't seem to care about guest's comfort or impression of them. When asking for more towels (3 in room for 4 people) the front desk seemed offended. Breakfast was the worst I've had in a hotel in 20 years. Too little for too many people. Don't stay here! The pictures look good but the actual site is not the same. There were matress/ceiling stains which appeared to be blood residue.

This Days Inn is not perfect. There are some small repairs that needed to be done, such as a sticky door and carpet that was loose. But, for our purposes (a family visiting the Grand Canyon), it was a very agreeable and comfortable place to stay. It is close to downtown dining and gift shops, but off the main road (Milton), which makes it quieter. The […] ubiquitous Flagstaff trains pass nearby, but we never heard them inside our room. Then again, they don't bother us, and we rather like them. The facility has a reasonably priced laundry--VERY important if you have been camping--and a free continental breakfast where you even can make your own waffles (a nice touch). We got a great price on this motel for our youth trip, and they were obliging in putting our 4 rooms together. The lobby is huge and has a game room. It's easy to find and right across the street from The Galaxy Diner, which is a fun burger place. The trains run directly behind the hotel - didn't bug me, but another adult in our group counted 45 trains, […] so I guess it kept him awake. No light at the pool, so hard to swim at night. That was curious. The breakfast bar was not quite set up for the large number of people wishing to use it, so allow some extra time. Curiously, the reservation I confirmed through hotels.com for 4 nonsmoking rooms emerged as 2 smoking/ 2 non-smoking at the Days Inn. Don't know why. Was very convienent 2nd time I have stayed there. Flagstaff is our stop on the way to New Mexico. Great price , great location to town and resturants. The front desk was informative as our trip was during the time of the big fire which the front desk was helpful in ensuring us that the fire would not affect our stay .

From the moment of arrival, I was unimpressed with this property. The front desk reception obviously was not interesting in assisting me, rather kept talking on the phone to what appeared to be a friend. Then when assisting me, he was not very welcoming. We arrived in our room, it was clean, the beds were comfortable. The things that I was less than […] pleased with: WiFi, it was incredibly slow, so slow that it shouldn't be considered a "feature" of your stay. My 3G phone was much faster than the internet. The TV picture was very shady and fuzzy. Laundry facilities: I needed to do laundry, and went to find that they had two very old and outdated washers and dryers. One of the washers was in disrepair and unable to be used. After waiting for another's guests load, I was able to wash a load of my clothing. Then proceeded to place my items in the dryer, which after 45 minutes had not dried my clothes at all. We had to go to the front desk to the same unhelpful and unfriendly person to get a refund of our money. Continental breakfast: The offerings were good food wise. They had waffles, but only one working waffle iron (the other was broken) and there was a HUGE line of people waiting for waffles. The attendant that was to keep the food stocked couldn't seem to keep up with the demand. Part of that is she was like a vulture waiting for my children to do something wrong. First, they are children. I was assisting them getting their food, and they spilled 3 lucky charms and she comes up and rolls her eyes and picks up the cereal off the ground. Then my children wanted a drink, my 8 year old can get his own, he's a big boy, but she insisted on taking his cup from him, and dispensing it herself. She did this for no one else. You could tell she was very concerned about a spill happening, more so than making the guests feel welcome and comfortable. The hotel was really inexpensive so we got what we paid for. The breakfast line was long and there wasn't a lot of options for food. The coffee was weak and terrible. For some reason the carpet in our room was damp but it didn't smell or anything. They gave us more towels when we asked and the pool was nice. Met my expectations for a 2 star motel. Mild train noise in the back area rooms. Breakfast was a little wanting, need to have at least 6 waffle makers during tourist season, long wait if you wanted waffles. Need a better selection of pastries,fruits,and add eggs, bacon/sausage/ham to be a more enjoyable stay, even if the rate needs to be 2-3 dollars […] more. Staff was very helpful and knowlegable about the area and seem to help guest with any problems. With the better breakfast and a little more grooming of the grounds this motel would be equal to many 3 stars I've stayed at. its just a little under the other Days Inn that we stayed at on our last trip to Flagstaff about 5 blocks away near the hiway 40 /17 exit.
