"Hotel Duca d'Alba à Rome: Parfait !!!"
Un personel trés sympathique et disponible, localisation idéale, chambres entiérement rénovées, petit déjeuner complet, cadre trés agréable. Parfait!!!

"Very Pleased"
Very good service, location is within walking distance of all points of interest, hotel is very well kept, clean, and comfortable. Highly recommended.
"Good value and friendly hotel"
This was a really pleasant place to stay for my third trip to Rome and the first for my partner. The hotel is in a great spot for local restaurants and bars, as well as the Coliseum, but a touch inconvenient for Spanish Steps, Trevi etc. by foot, though these are easily reached by underground, with the nearest underground station really just one minute's […] walk away. Monti is a part of town I would never have visited if not for this hotel, and it is very vibrant - that was the only down side of this hotel. It could be quite noisy with the window overlooking the street, but close the window, switch on the air-con and a sound sleep followed. There also must be a special mention for the hotel staff who were all very friendly and welcoming. Lisez la suite
"Hotel Duca d'Alba--great place, great location"
I booked this hotel at the last minute after I was already in Rome for a business conference, and the prices were very reasonable. The location is perfect--100 feet from the Cavour Metro and a few blocks from the Colosseum. Rome's worst snowstorm in 25 years occurred while I was there, but the location made sightseeing convenient nonetheless. The owner […] was friendly and helpful with questions about sightseeing, where to get a memory card for my camera, etc. The hot breakfast was good and substantial. The room was comfortable, with a good bed and desk, new bathroom fixtures, and a modern HVAC unit that enabled me to be toasty warm after cold days of sightseeing. I definitely recommend it. "Great hotel"
V close to the collosseum. V close to a tube station. Nice little bar across the street which shows English football if you have a partner who likes that sort of thing! Great hotel staff. Very small room but nicely decorated and v clean but as we werent in it much the size didnt bother us. Now onto Rome - loved the sights but the transport links are […] awful, its v dirty with a lot of graffitti, beggars and people sleeping rough. Lisez la suite
"Hotel Duca D'Alba"
Advantage Location is very nice. 5m to walk to coloseo. Disadvantage The room was small. It seems the hotel is now reconstructing. I heared noise that come from ceiling.
"Hotel Duca D'Alba in Rome"
It is very well placed hotel with respect to location. Colessum is walking distance, good restaurants around.
"NOT A 4STAR!!!!"
DON'T DO IT. I've never written a review before but this hotel was so disappointing I have to make sure no other suckers fall into the same trap we did. First things first I've stated in a lot of hotels and have been to Rome before. My only problem with this hotel is that at best it's a stong 2star. And this is why. 1. As soon as you walk in your disappointed […] no real hotel feel to the reception and only one person sitting at a table say hello to him because he is the ONLY person that works at the hotel. 2. Breakfast was dreadful I'd eat anything but not that. 3. Tiny room just about big enough for the bed/ shower broken. 4. There is air conditioning but get this THERE IS ONLY ONE REMOTE FOR THE WHOLE HOTEL. !!!! 5. Room had some kind of "garden" but was just a square of astro turf and a brick wall. 6. There is not point asking anyone to help you do a thing or call a cab fix the shower fix the safe etc ect it wont happen. 7. Finally DO NOT eat at ANY of the restaurants nearby, trust me don't do it. Also Don't stay here. Unless you want to be Disapointed. Lisez la suite

"Fantastic Staff/location"
Within steps of the Cavour Metro in charming Monti and a 10 minute walk to the Coliseum/Forum area, this hotel was a perfect choice for me. There was lots of great shopping, site-seeing, and restaurants in the area, and a short metro ride to anywhere else I wanted to go. The staff was extremely kind and helpful. You had to leave your room key with them […] (it couldn't leave the building) which was strange to me, but was really no additional hassle; one less thing for me to keep up with! The only down-side was my single room was TINY, but it was so well-appointed that it was extremely functional despite the size. I would definitely stay here again, but would probably pony up the additional money for a double room! Lisez la suite
"Probably a bit disappointing."
Poor breakfast, tiny room. Not terrible but wouldn't return.
"It was okay..."
There is nothing "wrong" with this hotel - it is just nothing special. The night we checked in we were greeted with open arms. Subsequent ventures to the front desk were less pleasant - more formal or indifferent. Breakfast was adequate and rooms were quite small.
"Duca D'Alba - Great location and service"
We stayed in this hotel for 3 nights during our first ever visit to Rome. The location was great for walking to common tourist attractions, good eatings, and a 2 minute walk to the Metro. Area was a bit noisy during the day since it is right next to a big restaurant that tends to get crowded. That being said, we never noticed any noise during the night. […] The staff was very helpful and friendly, and the breakfast included in our rate was quite satisfying. The bedroom and bathroom were both comfortable and of decent size. Rome itself can be tough on tourists, and I'm very thankful we had this hotel to come back to at night. Lisez la suite
"Perfect for the centre of Rome"
Having never been to Rome, I wasn't sure where to book, that wasn't far away from the centre, but somewhere interesting. The Hotel Duca D'Alba was spot on. The hotel is off the main street of Via Cavour, just a short walk from Termini, the main rail & coach hub for the city. And the surrounding area was beautiful, loads of little boutique shops & interesting […] bars/cafes The cake & ice cream place opposite the hotel enterence was amazing! Plus you are so close to the city centre. Had such a great weekend. Rome is a great city & our hotel certainly helped towards a great weekend too. Throughly recommend. Lisez la suite
Good location, but that was the only thing. The room was claustrophic, the bed was so too hard!
"Nice environment but too small room"
This hotel is located near the center of the city. It takes 15 minutes from Termini Station to the hotel on foot. If you come to the hotel by subway from Termini station, Cavour station is the nearest. The location is pretty good, and the famous fountain in Rome is within 15-20 minutes walking distance. Nice walking watching the scenery in Rome. The […] hotel room is relatively clean, but the room is tremendously small for me. There is a small single bed whose length is not sufficient for me. I can recommend the hotel to my friends, but if you prefer more comfortable bed room and bathroom, you may have to think of it. Breakfast is OK. Hot and cold foods were available during my stay. From the airport, the flight company, Alitalia, provides a shuttle bus service and it cost 7 euro (one way) as of November 2011. Compared to other shuttle services, it is the cheapest. You need to show your proof that you come to Rome by using Alitalia. A supermarket is located just in front of Cavour station, you can purchase water, chocolate, pasta sauce and so on. Lisez la suite
"Pleasant Stay"
Hotel is very close to Cavour Metro, also 10 minutes walk from Termini. Very quiet location, yet 10 minutes to the Colliseum. Good breakfast selection even though Hotel nowhere near full. Reception staff 24h and very helpful. Laptop internet access provided for guests use. as in many Italian hotels room was comparatively small, but the well designed […] layout eased matters, furnishings and fitments good. recommended. "Hotel Duca d'Alba, Rome"
Our room was wonderful in appearance & the bathroom even had a window....however the first night we were there was a Friday & the Romans party VERY HARD! Sat. & Sun were much quieter. If you have trouble with noise at night, ask for a room in a quiet location. We were also surprised by an additional fee....city tax. About E6.oo per night. Hotel staff […] were quite accommodating & helped with tours & drivers when requested. Lisez la suite
"October stay in Rome"
Excellent location, just a few feet from the metro stop and only one metro stop from the train station. Wonderful full breakfasts. Lots of restaurants just around the corner. Easy walking to many of the Rome sites. Bathrooms are very tight.

"Wonderful experience"
From feeding us breakfast while we waited for our room to be ready (we arrived on an early morning flight) to the friendly and helpful staff to the quality of the accomodations - excellent!
"Duca d'Alba"
Great little hotel in a buzzing area close to the Colisseum. We had two rooms and they put us close together with adjoining terraces, which was ideal. Rooms not very big but nicely decorated. Would certainly recommend (unless you want somewhere really quiet).
"Very Enjoyable stay in Duca Alba"
Stayed in Duca Alba for 3 nights in October 2011, really enjoyed it. Staff were good, hotel was centrally located, breakfast was great. This isnt a purpose built four star hotel with big rooms and all mod cons, what it is is a well run hotel that checks the boxes for 4 stars (gym etc) and is a really good base from which to explore rome. Check out […] the restuarant next door - really good regards Lisez la suite
"Hotel very centrally situated"
We spent three nights in the hotel. We were kept in Annex area even though paid for the main hotel. However, after mentioning about our stay they very kindly shifted us to the main building and made our stay very comfortable. The staff was excellent. Breakfast was very good. The rooms were bit small but very clean. Very good Pizza restaurants nearby. […] Walking distance to Coliseum. Would recommend to any one. Lisez la suite
"Hotel Duca D'Alba - our last night splurge"
For our last 2 nights in Italy we decided to splurge a little. This Hotel was easy to find, we were given a lovely welcome, told we had been upgraded from the annexe to the main building, offered a fruit cocktail then showed to our room. The room itself was lovely but very small. There was very little room to move and fit our cases. The breakfast was […] a lovely spread. The location was great - in walking distance to most things we needed. Overall, a very nice stay. Lisez la suite
"Best Service and Great Location"
Service was the best and the location could not have been better. Easy walking to train station or metro, Coluseum, Trevi Fountain. Could go on about the service.
Staff was great from the moment we arrived. Very friendly and welcoming. Hotel is in a great location located not far from the Colesseum. Breakfast was amazing and room was very nice! I was recommended this hotel by a few friends that have stayed here in the past and i would absolutely recommend to any of my friends.
"Hotel Duca d'Alba in great location"
Hotel Duca d'Alba is on a side street next to the Via Cavour Metro stop & convenient to Rome's main Termini. Staff helpful & English speaking. Room stylish, clean, very small. Double-pane windows keep street noise out. Many restaurants & cafes nearby. Colosseum a few blocks away. Wi-fi was free but spotty. A nice hotel.
"Hotel Duca D'Alba - what a great experience"
When I arrived I was greeted by the owner. All of the staff were extremely welcoming and friendly. I arrived hours before check-in time. They offered me coffee or cappachino while I waited the 1/2 hour it would take to have my room ready. I was impressed with the lovely room assigned to me, the cleanliness of the hotel, and all the ammenities it offered. […] The breakfast served each morning consisted of eggs, bacon, yogurt, various other hot foods, a variety of breads, fruits, cereals, juices and other beverages. All of which were delicious. The hotel was in walking distance to the Collisium, the Forum, and many other sites of interest. It was only a couple blocks from the Metro and from the sight-seeing bus stops. I was impressed with the entire experience and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Rome. Lisez la suite
"Hotel Duca D'Alba Rome"
Good hotel, location and helpful staff. Good varied breakfast but shame ithe milk was all UHT. Did not quite realise the location of the annexe rooms and that there was no lift. Room was quite dark but it was comfortable.
"Nice Enough..."
If we had stayed at this hotel first, we would have been very happy. But we came from a different 4 star, that was TRULY a 4 star. The rooms are true European, small. You only get one key and you have to leave it at the front desk when you go out. (So you can't leave a key in the room to keep the air conditioning on.) The staff were very nice, very […] helpful. The location is good, but it is a tad hard to find. I would stay here again, if the other hotel was not available. Lisez la suite

"Hotel Duca D'Alba in Rome"
The Hotel itself is very clean. Right off one of the main roads in Rome and a quick 5 minute walk to the Coliseum and easy access to the Cavour Metro station. If you're booking a single room for yourself it's perfect but very small. Think small NY apartment but it's do-able if you're not staying for a long time. They offer free internet with the room […] which was a nice bonus. There are some descent restaurants nearby and a local ATM very close. The price of the hotel was great for one night with how clean and accessible to the local area on such as short booking notice for myself. Lisez la suite

"Location is key"
Hotel Duca D'Alba has a great location to tourist sites and restaurants/bars. The room comfort and the price you pay is not really in line with expectations. There are hotels close by that even have pool for same/or less money.
"great location and style however"
The bathroom smelled like a sewer if you left the toilet seat up. there were ants in the room, and the air shut off everytime you left so it took a good 30minutes for the room to cool down once you got back
"Pleased with my choice"
This hotel was very well maintained, located on a cute quiet street, convenient to the Colosseum/Forum/Capitoline Hill. Rome is pretty small and we were able to walk everywhere, including to Vatican City, from this hotel. The room was very neat, AC worked well, bathroom was very clean, and the room was quiet.. This was a great choice.
We stayed 6 nights at the Duca dAlba. The staff was wonderful with the exception of one sourpuss who showed us to our rooms. Everyone else was helpful, friendly, kind, attentive...even jolly. The morning buffet was tasty and nicely presented. We stayed in the annex -- warning: long staircase to annex rooms-- staircase in need of sprucing up. Also, need […] 3 keys to gain access to the rooms and keys must be left at the desk when leaving hotel. Rooms in the annex are comfortable but very dark. There is little natural light coming into the rooms and the striped wallpaper is dark... a bit depressing. But the lobby area and dining room are comfortable and cheerily decorated.. Free wifi is available in the lobby/lounge area. The hotel is very convenient to the metro-- and only one stop from Termini Station. If you are arriving into Termini and taking the metro to the hotel, exit the metro, cross over the street towards the metro sign for the metro in the other direction. Go down the stairs toward the metro and you will find yourself a short block from the hotel. Hotel is also a fairly easy walk to many sights. And don't miss the wonderful gelato place around the corner! -- called Beebop. Head away from the metro and around the first corner. Best gelato in Rome! Lisez la suite
"Great location"
Easy to get to, the location was perfect, staff friendly, breakfast was included and delicious. Travelling solo. Good room.
"Hotel Duca d'Alba in Rome - near the Colosseum"
Great location, excellent price. 10 minutes from the Colosseum on foot. The staff was helpful, courteous, and professional, and more than happy to call cabs and provide information about transit to airports and the like. The room was cute, small but not cramped, nicely decorated, and very clean. A very pleasant stay.
"Hotel Duca D"Alba"
Well we originally reserved this hotel for 6 nights but ended up checking out after the first night. The rooms were small and the beds were not the cleanest. The bathrooms were okay and the location was okay also. I would rate the hotel two to three stars but not a place to take a g/f or wife for a romantic stay.
Very helpful and knowledgeable staff. Staff was super friendly and a pleasure to be around. Room was small but very quiet. A very nice breakfast was also included.
