Hotel accueillant.Une cuisine commune pour préparer ses repas est présente.L'hôtel est occupé par des étudiants.La chambre est spacieuse.Par contre il n'y a rien à proximité immédiate, ni commerce, ni attraction.Personnel sympatique.Hotel propre.

Un équipement correct de la chambre.Un groupe d'anglais bruyants. L'hôtel est mal insonorisé.Un restaurant ouvert non stop juste en face.Une ligne de bus et des taxis juste à côté. Une supérette à proximité.La vue sur une maison délabrée...

Our stay was very good at this hostel. Actually, it looked like more a youth hostel than anything else, but that's what we like anyway :-) The people who work there are really welcoming and helpful. Just... go there! :-)

Situation
Au cœur de Riga, l'établissement Metropole Hotel Riga se trouve à quelques minutes de marche des sites Opéra de Riga, Église Saint-Jean et Église Saint-Pierre. Les sites Maison des têtes noires et Monument à la liberté se trouvent également à proximité.
Caractéristiques de l'établissement
Pour vous restaurer, cet hôtel à Riga abrite un restaurant et un bar/lounge. L'accès à Internet par le Wi-Fi est disponible dans les espaces communs (en supplément). Hotel trés bien situé aux abords de la vieille ville et des terminus des transports. Chambre confortable donnant sur le boulevard, mais un peu bruyante (bruit des transports en commun: tram surtout), mais on s'impregne de l'atmosphère de la ville. Petit déjeuner copieux et complet. Accueil plaisant. Pas d'ascenceur. Trés bon rapport qualité / prix.

Very close to the old Riga and also to the center. Clean and got it in a very good deal!

Very convenient to old toown and to bus and rail stations. Rooms on front side very noisy due to tram tracks. Elevator was out of order. Quality breakfast buffet.

very good location, but i can't say 4*!!!!! no lift- we were on 3 floor no aircondition at rooms- it was very hot the service is good but no more than this. i would not reccomend this hotel even it is very centraly located. rina
"Excellent old style hotel"
Metropole Hotel is located on the edge of the Old Town but directly across from the bus stop, Bus 22 from the airport. - very handy if travelling with any luggage. All sites, churches, museums and squares only a 10 minute walk if that away. Comfortable old style hotel, great breakfast served in the lobby - however you do have to pay extra to have […] TV in your room!! Not a problem for us as we were out all day and into the night sampling Riga's excellent night life. Trams do pass at night so if you have a front facing room and the windows are open, noise could be a problem - again not a problem for us. good location, very close to old town and bus/train stations. warm , slightly old style hotel with all modern comforts. single bedroom larger than average with a comfy armchair and luggage stand. big window and high ceilings. nice buffet breakfast, and good quality food in hotel restaurant with friendly service.

about 1oo yards from bus terminal and train station and near the old part of town. fan instead of air conditioning worked out because it rained that night and the storm lowered the air temperature. they wanted to charge $5 to watch tv. given the price of the hotel, that was inappropriate.

4 stars should mean "1st class". But sadly there's nothing 1st class in the hotel Metropole in Riga. There's wasn't no ventilation or air conditioning whatsoever during our stay, thus it was intolerably warm in the room, and we didn't sleep well at all. In order to fight the burning warmness we opened the window and there was a horrible sound (probably […] other building's ventilation fan) for the entire night. The hotel is entirely worn out, including furniture, facilities and everything. There're strange smells here and there, the breakfast is awful, especially the coffee. "Great Place"
Great place. Perfect location in middle of the city in Old Town, where all the tourist stuff is. Really nice front desk staff who speak perfect English. Great deal. Really nice complimentary breakfast. I like this place and will recommend it. Small room by American standards, but normal for Europe. "Rating without anything to compare it too"
It's hard to rate this hotel because I haven't stayed in others in Latvia. Compared to the same star rating hotel in the USA, this place wouldn't be so great. Compared to the same in Europe, it's probably not so bad. The hotel is clean and the service is acceptable. The bed was very comfortable, although it was small. Sentral beliggenhet i forhold til både gamleby og den nyere delen.Pent hotell og hyggelige betjening. Kan anbefales. Vi kommer tilbake.

Hotellet ligger veldig sentralt, det er grunnen til at vi valgte horellet. Rommet er helt ok. Dusjen var gammel , og vi bodde i 5 etasje og måtte gå opp trappen, pga heisen ble stengt hele uka når vi bodde der(((

Mycket trevligt hotell i centrum av Riga. Nära till allt. Smidigt att ta sig till och från flygplats med lokala bussar. Enkel inredning och enkel frukost men inget att klaga på. Trevlig receptionspersonal!

Hotellet ligger perfekt, men har desværre ikke nogen elevator p.t., der kan være et problem, hvis man bor på 5 sal.

Excellent location, close to Old Town. No lift can be hard for some. But excellent service og tidy room.
Prisvärt. Mycket bra frukostbuffé. Trevlig personal. Bra läge. Rummen är ganska små, med helt ok. Frächa duschrum. På sen kväll något störande spårvagnstrafik.

Good location, very friendly and nice personnel. The elevator didn't work, so this hotel is not for older people! No air condition. Good breakfast, in quite a small breakfast room. Clean room, nice wooden floors. Quite a narrow but good bed.

Hotellet ligge super godt midt i byen, personalet er service minded og vennelige. Men vi fik et værelse på 5. sal på et hotel hvor elevatoren var i stykker og vist har været det i lang tid. Der ud over var der ingen aircon hvilket betød små 30 grader døgnet rundt på værelset, selv om vinduerne stod åbne hele døgnet rundt. Hotellet ligger som sagt midt […] i byen og selv på 5. sal er der masser af larm (biler, tramps osv.) A nice Hotel with only one minus, the elevator did not work, but doesn´t matter, I´m a young guy with healthy feets. Recommendent that if you need a ride to Hotel make a call or notice when you reserve your room and they will pick you from RIX and you will not pay any touristextra for cab. "Metropole-erinomainen sijainti"
Hotelli on sijainniltaan todella hyvällä paikalla, kävelymatkan päässä marketeista, ostoskeskuksista, vanhan kaupungin nähtävyyksistä ja kanaalin vehreästä puistosta! Hotellissa oli remontti ja hissi oli pois käytöstä, mutta kiipeäminen 5krs. kävi kuntoilusta :) Suosittelen!
