staff handled the reservation and information requests well, and the dinner in the Raceway bar was pleasant. Only a couple of issues. 1st is the breakfast, poor workers in that area at that time, and not very good choices for breakfast. 2nd, why when you are in the bar, and a shift changes do you have to pay your tab, then start another. "Closest motel to Williamstown available"
The room smelled like dirty socks and mold. The hallway had a strong odor of cigarette smoke. The light switches were sticky and, by the way, installed upside down. I was required to put a $50 deposit on my credit card for "to make sure there was no damage or extra charges." I've never been asked for that and don't understand it since the motel had […] my credit card number in any case. The deposit was returned to me the next day, although I had to ask the person behind the desk to give me a receipt showing it had been credited back to my credit card. "Not too shabby"
Ok hotel for the money, the best part is the hot breakfast! Staff are very friendly, accommodating and nice! Hallways reek of smoke although the rooms are no smoking. Walls are very thin...suffered hearing a woman yell at her cheating husband for the better part of the night for 2 nights. Also once the ac is off you can smell the stench of water damage […] or mold. Keep the ac on and you should be fine. Sheets are not that soft, kind of scratchy. Otherwise not too bad. Overall, it was a good experience. The staff were friendly and went out of their way to accommodate a few requests we had. Our only complaint was that breakfast was only free for two people. Needed to stay a night before picking up my daughter from a nearby summer camp. Hotel was easy to find and convenient to restaurants. We enjoyed our stay and found the staff to be helpful and friendly. The hotel is well maintained and conveniently located to all of the surrounding stores. We made use of the pool which was quite nice and also very clean. The only gripe I had was that the pool was advertised to open at 10am and was still being cleaned up until 10:30am. There were several […] guests already there and had to wait to use the pool until it was cleaned. Since we had to check out at 12 noon it would have been nice to have more time to use the facilities. Just didn't like the cigarette smell in the hallway. Didn't know and wasn't asked about my smoking preference, but couldn't smell it in the room. This was a nice hotel. The staff was very helpful when i arrived we was placed in a smoking room. i was not asked when booking the room by phone at hotel.com. The staff quickly moved us to a non smoking room. I was very upset because a couple above us fought ALL NIGHT LONG, IF MY KIDS WEREN'T WITH ME I WOULD HAD LEFT THE HOTEL.
