Chambre assez grande avec frigo, micro-ondes et cafetière. Lits confortables et chambre propre. Deux bémols: le bruit de l'autoroute qui passe juste derrière (insonorisation mal faite, il faut prévoir les boules quiès) et le petit déjeuner très peu fourni même pour un motel!!!

idéalement situé sur la route menant de new york à cape coad, le springhill de milford constitue une étape agréable .Il dispose de chambres confortables et spacieuses, est situé à proximité de la sortie d'autoroute, ce qui est un avantage.toutefois lors de la réservation, il est préférable de demander une chambre donnant à l'opposé de l'entrée principale, les chambres donnant sur parking pouvant être un peu bruyantes en raison de la circulation.le personnel est très avenant et disponible.le breakfast est tout simplement gargantuesque. une bonne adresse.

"Same good quality as previous owner."
We felt our stay wasGREAT. Breakfast was large with lots to choose from and fresh. I would like to see the presence of security guard. This is a very busy area. Maintenance was good. facade of building needs some repair. EXCEPTIONALLY CLEAN. NO SIGNS OF CRITTERS. I HAD READ THAT IN A REVIEW AND ALMOST DID not BOOK. WE HAVE STAYED THERE SEVERAL TIMES. "nice place"
Great room. We came in during the great storm of October 2011 for a Pixies concert which didn't happen until Halloween due to power outages, but the hotel kept power all night. Would stay there again.

Upon checking in, the person at the front desk, although courteous, was not too attentive. She was obviously having a personal conversation on the phone while checking me in.. Also, another guest had left a message for me at the front desk that day. I never received it.

STAYED HERE AUG 17 2011....HAD TO DRIVE HOME AT 1:30am WITH SMALL CHILDREN due to BEDBUGS!!!!! THE MAN AT THE DESK WAS NOT SURPRISED AT ALL WHEN WE TOLD HIM!!!! NOT ONLY SHOULD YOU NOT STAY HERE...IT SHOULD BE CLOSED DOWN!!!!!

The Holiday Inn Express is located very close to downtown Waterbury. It has all the anemities to make the stay comfortable.

"Holiday Inn Express Waterbury CT - Nice surprise"
This was my first time staying at the Holiday Inn Express in Waterbury, CT. Upon entering I was greeted by a friendly employee who did a great job of including my two daughters in the check-in process. Check-in was quick, my room was ready, and I found the hotel easy to get around in. The Express Start breakfasts were appreciated and helped ease the […] budget of being on vacation; I estimated that I saved nearly $50 just by having breakfasts available to me and my daughters. Overall the hotel was quiet, - a feat unto itself as the hotel is located near a busy hospital - clean, and safe. While the surrounding neighborhood did not encourage me to walk around, the hotel is located less than a 5 minute drive from Brass Mills Crossing which has restaurants, shopping, and other stuff to do, I would definitely stay again. We reserved 3 rooms for our stay, one of which was mistakenly a smoking room. The smoking room was dirty, dark, dingy and smelled strongly of cigarettes. There were no comparable non-smoking rooms available, according to the manager, so we had to pay an extra $34.50 per night for an "executive" room. This room was nice but I would have preferred to […] not pay the extra fee for a room which was not much different from a standard non-smoking room. We were visiting family in Waterbury and found the hotel to be centrally located within walking distance of a nice shopping center and mall as well as the downtown area. The beds were very comfortable; it had a medium-sized pool which my kids really liked (but too many dead bugs in it!) and it was reasonably priced. "Holiday Inn Downtown Waterburry"
Plumbing problem brought to attention of staff twice with no resolution. Same with TV. Hotel located across the street from a hospital. This was not disclosed at time of booking. Ambulances with sirens all through the night.
"Convenient Location!"
This is my 10th stay at the Holiday Inn Express-Waterbury. Very convenient location in town and to the Brass Mills mall. Rooms and breakfast have always been top-notch for the price.

"Not so good"
I read reviews before I stayed here. They read well but I'm not sure why. I was disappointed in the room. The ceiling had some type of lint hanging from it and alot of it. The bathtub had mold in all the corners and the top bed linens were gross. The staff was polite and friendly.
"Dirty"
Spent one night here on business and wished I had booked the Courtyard down the street. The lobby area was OK but the elevators are scary! Not only are they tiny, but the doors were operating eratically, which gave me the impression that I would be stuck in one at any point. The door on one kept opening and closing non stop and the way to fix it was […] to send it to another floor? The other elevator had a door that took well over a minute to open and close. Not a good feeling. I wanted to take the stairs to my second floor room, but there are no stairs from the lobby - only exits to the street. Weird. The room itself smelled smoky to me and it was dated and dark. There was an iron mark on the floor of my room where someone had obviuosly dropped a hot iron. Not the hotel's fault, but still...The TV was the worst TV I've had in a hotel room in a long time. The picture was all washed out and dark - almost unwatchable. All in all, I was glad when I left and I will not return to this hotel again. If it was more than a one night stay, I would have left and found another place. Lisez la suite

"Next to hospital and smelled like old people"
Well, the staff at Holiday Inn Express, Waterbury were very nice, but not much else was. Firstly, the hotel was located directly across the street from a hospital, which meant sirens blaring all night. Secondly, there was a suspicious stain on the desk chair and gum on the carpeting. "Convenient and a great breakfast!"
The hotel is just off the freeway, nice staff with a quick and efficient check in and the free breakfast in the morning was great. There was sausage, cheese omelets, hard boiled eggs, assorted low calorie yogurt, muffins, assorted breads, cereals, juices, coffee, tea, fresh fruit, etc. Something for everyone and saved us money and time getting going […] at discharge. Hotel service is excellent and located in a very convenient area. The complimentary breakfast is excellent. However, the room very obviously had not been vacuumed. The standing lamp in the room was broken and had to lay on a chair to be sustained. The upholstery on the two (2) chairs in the room were extremely dirty with nasty spots. One of the room […] tables was broken. There is a leak in the ceiling in the lobby near the guest services room which drips and keeps that area wet - I stayed here last month and the ceiling was leaking then. I stated in my prior review that the room chairs needed cleaning! Why am I repeating myself here? Will a change be made? I believe I'll try the Mariott again. The $ difference is minute. "Convenient Location and Access to all points"
Hotel personnel very friendly and eager to accommodate you. Room was clean though the chairs could use cleaning. Housekeeping personnel came quickly to vacuum when requested and were very pleasant. "Good hotel, terrible bed!"
Okay, first, the good news: The hotel was easy to find, close to lots of restaurants & shopping, the staff was friendly & called to make sure I was happy with the accommodations shortly after check-in (something that has never happened before booking through this site!), and the room was fresh-smelling & clean. (Even though there was a hint of smoke […] in the hallways.) The complimentary breakfast was excellent and fresh, especially the cinnamon rolls. The lobby where breakfast was served was nice & cozy & had a couple of flat-screen TVs to watch while you were eating & browsing the complimentary newspaper. Not too shabby! Now, the bad news, and the only reason I said I would not recommend this hotel: The bed was AWFUL. It was hard as a rock & the mattress had some kind of plastic cover on it. It crinkled every time you moved. It was like sleeping on a slab of limestone covered in parchment paper. Not very comfortable at all. I stayed for 2 nights and didn't get a good night's sleep until moving to another hotel on the 3rd. The staff said that the beds were new, which is why they were so hard & crinkly. I am not sure that explains it. Seriously, either take off the plastic covering or invest in some mattress pads so your guests can sleep on a soft bed that doesn't crinkle loudly every time they move. It was a huge problem. I probably would not stay at this hotel again because of it. If the issue were fixed and the beds at least had the plastic removed, I would absolutely be back. I hope someone at the hotel reads this review and endeavors to fix the issue. It may seem like a petty complaint, but customers paying for hotel rooms are paying for a comfortable place to sleep. If the bed is not comfortable, you are not giving people what they pay for. Fix the problem. Seriously. Once again, the hotel was great except for the bed, and the poor quality of the bed just absolutely KILLED the experience for me. Lisez la suite

"Nice hotel!"
The people at the front desk were very friendly upon my arrival. The king bed offered 3 hard and 3 soft pillows, which made sleeping super comfortable. The shower took a couple of minutes to warm up, which would be one of my only complaints, but once it did warm up, it stayed warm. There was ample parking, and the hotel was pretty much right off the […] highway, which made getting there and to my next destination much easier. Also, there is a gas station and Dunkin Donuts right near the hotel, which is great when you need to grab more things for the road. Lisez la suite

"Ok for the money, needs a bit of work."
The hotel location is convenient for the Waterbury area as is located right in the middle of town. It is about 35 minutes away from North Haven and also from Hartford. They do offer a good breakfast in the morning, but is only until 9:30am. Unfortunately there is not much to do in Waterbury. The area next to the hotel does not have a lot of scenary […] or landscape. The room did contain various burns on the carpet and unfortunately although we ask for a non-smoking, we ended up stock with the "smoking room" which indeed smelled like smoke. The staff is acceptable,although not very impressed with customer service. If you are seeking a hotel that says "Hi, how are you???" or "I hope you enjoyed your stay, come again!" And show a smile... Then this is not the place. The hotel does have a swimming pool that reaches 9 ft. in ok conditions. Lisez la suite

Stayed with my 93 year old mom who required handicapped accessibility. Room was well equipped and comfortable for her. Enjoyed the opportunity for early morning swim in the pool and great tasting scrambled eggs at breakfast buffet!

The service at the hotel was outstanding, the room was very clean and reasonably comfortable (not the best bed ever, but it was fine), and the location was great. Even though our room was right across from the elevators, it was very quiet. The neighborhood felt very safe. The breakfast was good. Overall, this was an excellent value.

"Great Location for Highway Access"
Very convenient to I-84 and Route 8. The maill nearby was a nice feature. Will definitely be on my list of future stay locations near Waterbury.
