grim, poorly maintained.

This hotel was nasty and grimmy the only reason why I didn't leave cause we were tired we drove all the way from Illinois.The maid service sucked they didn't clean very well. i wouldn't recommend this one to anybody.

Do not stay in this hotel. Sleep in your car if you have too. Your can will be cleaner then this hotel

This place is a dive! A lot of family was in town and stayed here. The first room had a broken security lock and so we requested a different room. Then, a half hour later, they gave my family members the room with the broken security lock! The next day, more family came. The first room they were given had a broken security lock and broken regular lock. […] The door didn't lock at all!! They were moved to a different room that had another broken security lock!! Then, when I was checking out, a man that had just checked in kept coming back to the desk to say his lock wasn't working at all. He must have gotten the same room my family checked out of. Another thing, this hotel has 2 floors and has NO ELEVATOR!!! My elderly relatives had to carry luggage up a very long flight of stairs. I don't think I've ever seen this type of hotel that had no elevator. All that being said, the staff was actually very wonderful and very friendly. They were very helpful in helping us to get around the city. I would stay again based on the service received, BUT NOT if the hotel is in the same broken, run down condition. Lisez la suite

unless you want to bring your own towels. I decided to stay another night with them I told them I needed fresh towels. When I got back to my room after being out all day, my room had not been touched. No cleaning, no towels, trash still in trash cans etc. I went downstairs to get some towels and the girl working the front desk did not want to give me […] any until I brought the dirty towels to her. I explained to her that I would not steal the towels all I wanted was some fresh ones for a bath, She only gave me 2 towels and 1 hand towel. There was 2 of us in the room so I asked for 2 wash cloths. She explained all she had was hand towels so I told her I needed 2 hand towels to take a bath with and one for my hands. Well when I got back upstairs she had only given me 2 hand towels. Well we can't take a bath with a towel and then use it to wash our hands on. So my friend loaded up the dirty towels while I went for a bucket of ice. The front desk clerk looked at my friend i gave her the towels you needed. My friend explained to her and she said well you will have to wait until tomorrow when housecleaning gets here. My friend told her we are checking out tomorrow. She said i do not have any more hand towels so we told her to give us some regular towels. She all but called us towels thieves. Then when I went down to check out the next morning she was eating her McDonald's breakfast and acted as if I had interrupted her. I told her she would find all of her towels that we got from her in the room. Will not be staying there again unless I bring my own towels. Lisez la suite

Hotel and my room smelled so clean and it was a very nice room. Andra who worked at the front desk was a super nice guy.

Bad neighborhood and issues with all room door locks and outside access doors to hotel. VERY BAD SECURITY

Overall, this Red Roof Inn was just fine, but I won't be running back. While the service was friendly and prompt when I requested an extra blanket, the hallways had a dingy smokey smell and my room was less than cozy. Nothing offensive about it, but thin covers on the bed, thin old towels, hairdryer fell out of the wall, and iron squirted water and […] got warm but did not actually perform the main function of an iron, which is to make my button-down shirt look presentable. We arrived at the hotel two hours before check in and the front desk clerk was real rude. I asked if we could check in early, she said no its at three so see ya later, rude. Then we check in go upstairs to our room and they are still cleaning it. The next day my key didn't work so I went to the front desk and told her the problem, then she asked me […] how many days did I pay, rude again. It took three tries for my key to work. This Red Roof was clean and comfortable and staff was friendly. Nothing fancy about it and breakfast was basic but, for the price it was fine. If i were staying longer than one night I would probably look for a hotel closer to downtown but for one night, this was fine.

This hotel is hit and miss. First room I was given hadn't been cleaned, second was clean but missing TV remote and clock. Reasonably quiet place even though it is next to highway. Kind of tired looking facility. Continental breakfast was scraps when I went down at 8 am and still bare when I checked out at 9:15. Staff is not what I'd call friendly or […] welcoming...both at night and check out they seemed preoccupied or wanted to be somewhere else. I don't need someone to scream "Welcome to Red Roof" as soon as I walk in but at least try to seem like it's not a prison for them. Maybe both individuals had something serious on their minds. Management should probably have some kind of basic dress code for front desk staff, especially in the am. This is my sixth stat at this hotel and I hope to be back soon. I travel to Florida from my home in Ohio and this is the perfict stopover for me.

Overall it was a nice Hotel, it was nothing to brag about it does need a bit more maintenance work to it to make it more appealing. I wasn't looking for a 5 star place to stay this was ok satisfied my needs for my stay.

I was cold and did not have enough blankets and the door to the bathroom could not close.

We only stayed at the hotel 1 night, but I must say it was affordable and we got a good breakfast. They had fresh fruit but only coffee for drinks (i dont drink cofffee).

Front desk help was excellent!! Gave directions to a location that was easier than following GPS.

The hotel is located only minutes away from downtown Charlotte and located only 10 minutes from Concord (nice - if the downtown scene isn't for you). My spouse and I spent the evening at Dave and Busters and came back to a nice, comfy room. There are cameras located every where around the hotel room so we felt pretty safe. My husband and I were very pleased with the Red Roof Inn. It was convenient to the Belk Bowl events and had all the ammenities we were looking for in a hotel.

The staff at the front desk was excellent. The room was comfortable and easy accessable. For the amount of the room I was overly impressed and would definitely stay again.

Expect to be disappointed. The bathroom was DISGUSTING, the shower was broken and the water pressure was weak, the toilet did not flush, the linens looked like they were 10 years old, and the hallways reeked of cigarette smoke. The hotel offered free breakfast which consisted of old fruit, bad coffee, and an old waffle maker that destroyed your waffle. […] Needless to say, it was not a pleasant experience. We stayed only 1 night. The hotel is ok if you just want a room to sleep in. The only negative experience I can think of is the strange mixing of smoking and non-smoking rooms, which makes the hallway smells like smoke even in the non-smoking area. However our room was fine, no smoke smell. The breakfast could also be a bit better. There was hot water […] dispenser but no tea, only coffee. I spent 1 night here very comfortably. The hotel is located right off the highway, and is only about a 10 minute drive to downtown. The surrounding neighborhood is a little rural but seemed safe enough. The hallway smelled like smoke, but the actual room (non-smoking) was odor-free. The hotel was a little dated , but the rom was clean and the location was ideal for what we needed . The man at the desk ( who's name I didn't get) , was very nice and helpful . We had a good stay and would stay there again .

Price was relatively cheap. Halls smelled of smoke. Breakfast was ok. At least it had waffles. Was nervous about parking my vehicle outside due to the neighborhood.

Hotel was very nice, especially the lobby and the people working. My room was nice and large. It had all of the amenities anyone may need. The reason I lowered my score slightly is because there were a number of small cosmetic issues. Very happy overall.

It was ok. Beds nice and comfy but the bathroom could use some work.

Hotel was conveniently located right off the highway about 8 miles from the track. Friendly employees,room was clean and comfortable. An older motel but could use some maintenance, cheap room rate, good place for a short stay.

The hotel was cheap and in a good location (near race track) but it was dirty in the hallways, etc, the toilet barely flushed, the water was barely warm, the bed spread and cigarette burns in it and the beds were uncomfortable.

If you are just wanting to get a good nights sleep with nothing fancy, this place works great. if you are all about satin sheets and chocolate mints, definitely not the place for you.

Not a bad place, room was clean and big. Older hotel. Hard to find, no sign on highway for it. Staff was friendly. If you need a place to stay for few days or have a pet as we did it is alright, especialy for the price.

My wife and I use Red Roof Inns when we travel because we have a pet. Most are nice, clean, and comfortable. This is the worst RRI I've ever seen and I'm surprised RRI allows their name to be attached to this hotel. The rooms were dirty, the bed was awful, so lumpy I could not sleep. We had a prostitute in the room 3 doors down, and a few rooms near […] us were very loud with people partying. The front desk staff seemed annoyed by my questions about what was in the area. We checked in on Friday and were supposed to stay until Monday, but checked out and went home a day early. I could go on, but you get the point. DON'T STAY HERE! Lisez la suite

We stayed at the Red Roof Inn, Charlotte UNCC on saturday night to go to the Ramblin Rose 2011 Triathlon and the Panthers Game on Sunday. It was a good stay for the money. The staff were helpful with surrounding shopping centers and restaurants. Our only problem was that the hair dryer did not work.
