"Great stopping point"
We were headed for the beach and decided to try to find a place in rocky mount when we were about an hour out. This is where we ended up. It was less than $100, could accommodate us in a non-smoking room with only a hour's notice, was clean, and had a nice breakfast included. The Rocky Mount Comfort Inn is located in an area convenient to the highway and a couple of restaurants are in walking distance (Texas Steakhouse, Outback). "Lovely weekend"
My husband and I drove down from Pennsylvania for our aunt's birthday party, which was across the parking lot at the Gateway Convention Center! We enjoyed our time in Rocky Mount...great location, so nice having nice restaurants so close. The pool looked lovely, but we didn't allot enough time to go for a dip. "Great place to stay when passing through"
Everytime we drive from FL to NY, we stay at this Comfort Inn. It's always been clean, has friendly staff, and a great value with a nice breakfast. This is the first vacation we've had since having our son who is almost 3 years old now. We feel this place is clean and safe for him and he felt the beds were super bouncy for jumping on! I booked a non smoking king. They had no king and gave me a double. Not what I wanted. I complained and no resolution . First room smelt of smoke although it was to be non smoking. I had to request a change of rooms. Had no regular tea only decaf with continental breakfast.Avis véridique Hotels.com

"A nice stop along the way"
In almost all respects, a very nice, convenient and efficent hotel. The beds were uncomfortable & do need a replacement. But the breakfast was really very good (a nice mix of protein, carbs and fresh fruit), and the young woman who managed the dining area was very competent, friendly, and on top of things. this hotel was a little ways off the highway, but not far. The room was clean and the woman at the front desk checking me in was really nice! The room didn't have a refrigerator, which was listed in the on-line description. Arrived early AM after 12 hours of driving. This was not our first choice, but we were limited due to the holiday weekend rush. For some reason, there was a mix-up with our reservation and we were assigned a smoking room. This room smelled badly of strong cleaning agent and the bathroom was filthy. The front desk quickly accomodated our request for […] a change. Our second (non-smoking)room was much better. However, having been in the first dirty room, we wondered about what we could not see.
