Quality Inn near Six Flags - San Antonio

This hotel charges a price you can get in any other hotel in the surroundings; however this hotel don't offer very basic amenities a refrigerator and a microwave in their lower price room which is over priced any how.

Overall the hotel was "okay" considering it was a last minute get away and it was the only hotel room available. The ac unit was quite loud and the bathroom is super small. The staff was very nice and the complimentary breakfast was a plus.

Staff and location was fine. 3 of 4 ice makers not in service. Room was clean, but older and musky smell. Breakfast was fine, but attendent was not overly helpful.

This is an older hotel (former Hampton Inn) and the rooms show it more than the main lobby, with tiny bathrooms and need for remodeling and updating (old dirty vent in the bathroom is one example). There are other hotels I prefer at the same price, but they were all fully booked during spring break.

I was going to stay 2 nights. Only stayed one as a result of experience with front desk clerk. Girl was rude and uninterested in assisting guests. When I politely requested to speak with the manager, I was told no. Clerk remained argumentative and combative throughout. I was finally able to speak to manager via telephone. Manager solved my issue within […] seconds. Once manager was no longer on the phone, clerk continued her abusive and combative nature. Had it not been 10:PM, I would have not stayed even 1 night. I had to check in extremely late(I was the last to check in that night). The trip itself was last minute. The lady at the front desk had amazing customer service. Could not have asked for more. The next day at breakfast she had the same attitude as well as the rest of the staff members. The hotel was clean, and the bed was comfortable. Surrounding area […] was very beautiful. Overall a good hotel. As others have said, it is a bit older, but I wasn't looking for fancy, new. Room was good for just wife and I. Breakfast was nice. Had pool, workout room, but we didn't have time for those.

The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful.It is within walking distance of many restaurants, shopping and movie theaters. I didn't find it necessary to rent a car during my stay. The hotel is a great value for the price.

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The rooms were clean and well maintained. Nothing was fancy, but that was not my expectation. Complimentary breakfast had waffles, eggs, potatoes, muffins, cereal, fruit, etc.

Typical high use tourist area hotel, decent but highly worn. Was disappointed with the breakfast offering and it was taken down too early. When on vacation not everyone is up and at it at 6:00AM.

HOTEL IS CURRENTLY BEING RE-MODELED. WE STAYED IN 1 OF THE OLDER ROOMS. SMELLED A LITTLE LIKE CIGARETTE SMOKE. NICE, LARGE, ROOM WITH A SOFA BED AND KING BED. SPLIT BATHROOM, DESK AND CHAIR. PRICE WAS RIGHT, WE HAD OUR HOME SPRAYED FOR BUGS & DIDNT WANT TO SLEEP THERE THAT NIGHT..

Very nice hotel for the price we paid, good value. The only problem we encountered was the swimming pool, it is very small and it was very dirty when we stayed here. We weren't coming to stay at the hotel and enjoy the amenities so this wasn't a big deal for us but it was so dirty we didn't use it.

The experience was great and the front desk was very helpful. We did encounter however, a bar of soap on top of the toilet and it seems from previous guest. I think that the rooms needs to be check thoroughly before the next guest.

Everything about the room was was great. Upon arrival, the young men at the front desk were occupied with other business, one was counting money and the other was working on the computer rather than giving a proper greeting and speedy check-in. Once I became the focus of his attention, he was very friendly. I was told during check-in that breakfast […] the next day would be served at 7 a.m. I went to the lobby about 7:20 and there was not breakfast set out yet. There were also young kids sleeping in the breakfast area which I thought was odd. Other than that, the room was clean and comfortable. Eventually, upon checking out, we saw that breakfast had finally been set out, though I know it wasn't any time before 7:20 and by that time, we had already walked across the parking lot and paid to eat. We came for an overnight visit in San Antonio for Fiesta Texas and shopping at the Outlet malls in San Marcos following day (45 min drive). It worked well for 1 adult and 2 teenage friends. This hotel has double size beds, not queen size, but it worked fine for two normal size teenagers. Good variety at breakfast.

Great location, the carpet in the room was dingy and damp and smelled. The bed was comfortable though. There were drunk guys in the lobby drinking. My family did not feel safe. The breakfast was great with good service. I do not think I will stay here again. It would have been an ok stay if there were no dunk guys in the lobby.

This hotel was right on the price, much lower than competitors and didn't sacrifice the amenities. The staff was friendly and kept a clean environment. We only stayed for one night but I would definitely stay here if we ever visited again.

The hotel is good for the price but it is not good for a family of 4. bathroom is too small and the a/c is to close to one bed I had to turn it off to sleep. The doble bed rooms have only full matress.

My girlfriend and I stayed here after a long day at Six Flags Fiesta. We arrived fairly late and chose to eat at a nearby restaurant before retiring to our room. By the time we got to the room it was far too late to do anything about how bad it was. The room had a stale smell which was very unpleasant. The bed's duvet was old and lumpy. The bedsheet […] was covered in hairs and looked like it hadn't been cleaned recently. The hotel is very conveniently placed next to the i-10, which made for a very noisy night. The breakfast was a shambles. When we arrived to eat, the only food available was make your own waffles, which had a queue of families making waffle after waffle with no movement. Eventually a member of staff brought out some bagels and bread for toasting. There was one toaster, which again quickly formed a queue. I've never stayed anywhere as bad as this. Lisez la suite

This was my first stay at a Quality Inn and is my last. The rooms and bathroom are too small. The entire hotel needs a new paint job. I got no sleep because of crickets in the room. The breakfast was horrible. I was completely disappointed!!

Hi, I would like to say that I enjoyed my stay. The front desk personnel were very friendly. The original room that I checked into smelled of smoke, so I called the front desk and let them know. Within minutes, I was assigned another room. The front desk staff surely would have, and did, go out of their way to make me happy. There was a grumpy old lady […] who was setting up breakfast the next morning. I, being an early riser, arrived before the 6:30 am opening time, but "4 minutes." Miss Grumpy Lady let me know it too! I was the only person there. And, I asked her for some non-stick spray for the waffle machine, but she did not provide it, which caused the waffles to stick to the waffle maker. She can't say that I didn't tell her. I observed mini-van full of middle-aged men drinking what appeared to be cans of beer, sometime around early evening. I do not think this reflects positively, especially if there are young children seeing this. One last thing. Although I do understand that the hotel is in a high-traffic area, I think some attention to the grounds is in order. For instance, there were old, stinky cigarette butts strewn about, and also, there were cigarette butts, cups, and trash at the rear entrance near the pool, that looked like no one had seen in days. We enjoyed the location and the staff running the hotel. The beds in our room were not comfortable at all. We stayed for three nights and we were looking forward to hanging out at the pool at least one afternoon. It was so dirty that we couldn't see the bottom of the pool.
