Hotel staff very helpful, rooms clean and quality of breakfast very good even if there were some queues for the only coffee machine working. The surrounding area is not so nice at night but it is close to the tram station and within walking distance to the centre.

Excellent hotel for us with the location being ideal for both the tram and rail travel. Took breakfast on 2 mornings which was really good. Free internet was excellent and reception was always helpful and informative. We would certainly stay at this hotel again, hopefully next year.

The hotel is faily new and the breakfast was excellent especially the fresh squeezed oraneg juice. Getting to Nice downtown was only 15 minutes ride from the train and getting to the train stop from hotel was only 5 minutes walk.

Last minute booking and initially concerned it would be too far from Old Town etc, but actually only 25 mins walk or 3 stops on brilliant tram, which also takes you to train station if you want to explore along the coast. Not sure why the hotel is considered 4 star when all I found it useful for was an average but large, clean place to sleep but not much else extra. The location is a 10-15 minute walk from the old town. The trams and bus were only 1 euro, even to Monaco and Cannes! A tram with all the bus connections is a 2 minute walk and there are numerous bus lines […] on every street surrounding the hotel. The front staff did their best to help with the tram/bus system but it was hit and miss as to their level of expertise about tourist information. For instance, it is just one bus ride to the Matisse and Archeology Museum and the stop is a block away but the front desk had no clue where the stop was located. The breakfast for 15 euros was over priced. We went to a bakery/cafe at the tram stop instead. One of the determining factors for choosing this hotel was that it stated that I would receive free shuttle to the air port. However when I got to the air port the driver charged me 47.5 euros for the trip. I had paid a taxi 15 for the ride to the hotel. We came back to our room after a day at the beach and found an open pkg of open meat in our min bar. We contacted the front desk as of course we were very upset and thought someone had been in our room. They sent a maid up to pick up the meat and assured us that the hotel manager would call us. We checked into the hotel late on a Saturday night - the receptionist couldn't have been anymore friendly, helpful and overjoyed to see us. I'd asked for a quiet room and was given one at the side with a brilliant view of the surrounding hills. My son loved the outside pool and was often the only one swimming in it. Convenient for catching a tram and getting to the local bus stops this hotel is a little distanceto walk to and from the beach but it's situated near to a main street with a Spar and some fantastic fruit and veg shops to compensate. We wanted a comfortable but inexpensive base from which we could explore Nice. This fit the bill exactly. As part of a hotel chain, it is not exactly pretty or filled with French charm but it was clean, it has a pool, pleasant staff, baggage storage for day of check out, decent sized room and powerful shower in modern bathroom. Getting around Nice from here is simple - buy a daily pass for €4 from the machine at the tram stop (2 minute walk from hotel, if that) and you're good to use the buses and trams all day. The trams are VERY frequent during the day and about every 20 minutes late in the evening. The Old Town is just 3 stops away. If you are travelling to Nice airport, the €4 pass also covers the cost of the bus to the airport. You could also walk into the main part of Nice from the hotel - it takes about 20 minutes. The Novotel Nice centre is located only 10 minutes walking time to the old town. You can get a tram but it is only 2 stops and they get very crowded. Staff here are excellent. Novotel Nice Centre hotel is more like 3.5* than 4* as advertised. Clean comfortable bed, but small and a bit old and musty. However, the staff was very friendly and helpful, especially Sophie. The location is not close to recommended attractions (Vieux Nice-recommended!), but you can take the T1 tram nearby. A great variety of Continental food, accompanied with some hot items as scrambled eggs, sausages, potatoes and bacon. If taking the tram, the Novotel Nice center is a couple of stops away from the vibrating "Old Town". Walking is also quite enjoyable and takes about 10 minutes to reach the Garibaldi Square. Strolling around the Old Town towards the market is a must to do. Do not be afraid to get lost around dozens of little "cashba style" streets. You will probably be surprised by many incredible facades, churches, stores, etc. For a great dinning experience just follow the locals even if although I strongly recommend the La Maison de la Pizza at Rue Mascoinat ( don't get fooled by the name as pizzas are fantastic but not the only great gastronomical experience you can have ) and also La Storia in the Market Street. Brilliant hotel, brilliant stay, as many reviewers have stated already try not to pay for the breakfast as its a total waste of money. There are far better places to go local that are of a better standard and cheaper, that is the only negative criticism for the hotel. The location was perfect, we were across the road from the tram, 10 min walk from […] Nice Requier station where we went to Cannes, Monaco-Monte-Carlo and Ventimiglia. Only warning is that I and my wife went on UK boxing day for 3 nights and it's Xmas fair crazy at this time in Nice. Luckily owing to insight we booked the Executive room which was on the quiet side of the hotel, those staying in an Standard room must have suffered from the noise of a fair ground ride bang outside the window and hearing the punters scream. We stayed here for a week in June and enjoyed it so rebooked for October. The hotel is good value, with the rooms a good size and comfortable with room enough for a small sofa. The hotel has spacious rooms, with all the standard tea and coffee making facilities, free WiFi in the lounge and lobby (Out of range on the roof, so no free WiFi whilst soaking up the sun by the pool.) No Bar or food available on the roof unless you phone from the dedicated phone on the roof, then they will bring food and drinks to you on the roof. TV […] in the room does not cater for English speakers, the only channel received in English is BBC World. No additional towels available if you use the Pool facilities on the roof, although you can use your room towels. Novotel is always a "valeur sure" and we enjoyed our 2 nights stay in the Nice Novotel which is however not so central but located near the tram and only 20-30 min stroll to the Vieux Nice, the animated pedestrian streets and the pebbled beaches. Location is quite a way away from the main attractions but the hotel is linked by Tram to the main sites every 4 minutes during the daytime. The Novetel Nice Centre is a good location you can walk down to the old town or take the inexpensive tram. Friendly and helpful staff, with free wif-fi on a time limit each day basis. Had a great room which I paid extra for but enjoyed my short stay. Roof top pool, busy in the afternoon but not too bad in the morning.
