I enjoyed my stay with family. The breakfast was wonderful and easy for kids to navigate. The parking was great and the access to the Riverwalk Area was easy breezy. We will stay again!

I was very pleased with everthing in the hotel, I have to say it was pretty clean that to me is one of the most important things about a hotel stay. But not all the ladies in the front were as helpful and as courteous as others. The people that are greeting their customers in the front should all have a HAPPY face, in my opinion anyway.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel was well kept. The room was very nice and comfortable. Access to the riverwalk was a simple as walking out the back door. Breakfast was a bonus with lots of choices and plenty to go around. I'll be keeping this place in mind the next time I want to get away for a weekend trip.

My stay was ok. I booked it b/c I thought it was downtown on the Riverwalk...but it wasn't actually downtown-downtown. We still had to take a cab to get to the action of downtown San Antonio and the nightlife/restaurants on the Riverwalk. The hotel itself is nice, but in my opinion, not in the nicest area. This was our first experience with Hyatt Place and what a wonderful surprise. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Our room was wonderful and even though the bathroom was small....other parts of the room made up for it. We enjoyed the quietness of the hotel and even though it took a few more minutes to get to our "destinations" on the river walk […] we finally figured out the best routes and enjoyed the scenery along the way. The breakfast was a delight and we enjoyed coming in at night and being able to have an extra treat of "cheesecake". Yes, we will stay again at Hyatt Place. Lisez la suite

the hotel staff was very nice and the rooms were very nice. However the website made it seem like it was one of the closer hotels to the main part of the riverwalk.... this is not the case. Although the hotel is on the river it is a good 15-20 min walk to the part of the river that is home the restaurants and sight seeing. Everything was great but the only thing that happen to us was that the blanket that the sleeper sofa had was too thin and we asked for another blanket and we got one more and it was still not warm enough. The toilet/ shower area is much too small. Other than average size people would have a difficult time using these facilities. Otherwise, everything else was good to excellent

We enjoyed our stay. We have stayed at this hotel at least 6 times in the past. However their breakfast still needs improvement. The waffles pieces are always stale and the selection is limited plus the coffee is not always hot. If they improve breakfast I would rate the hotel all 5 stars

The hotel was just a spot to sleep so we really didn't get to utilize the pool or any of the other amenities. We were very pleased with the hotel though and it's location was great. We could just walk out the back door a few blocks down the river walk and were right where the river walk action was. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful.

The rooms are well appointed and larger than one may expect. It's a bit of a walk to the riverwalk area, but nothing terrible. Pool was nice, but a hot tub is desperately needed to round it all out. I would definitely stay here again.

Interesting one this. First of all, the positive. The staff were excellent and very helpful. The location was also great, backing onto the river and the rooms were large and very clean. On the downside, I had to ask for a room change (first time I have EVER done this), because the room smelt very damp. It was really quite unpleasant. It seems to be […] coming for the unbelievably enormous aircon unit by the bed (honestly it looked like the millennium falcon from star wars had crashed through the wall). Staff asked if the floor was wet and I suspect the carpets had been recently cleaned, which is good I guess. They quickly moved me and the new room was much better although came complete with another space ship/air con unit. The other issue I have (and suspect this is common in old US hotels) is the obsession with beige. What's wrong with a bit of colour people! it's terribly depressing for me as everything just feels old. I wouldn't mention it, but it was hardly cheap. My overall impression though was positive, greatly helped by the attitude of the staff which was first class. Lisez la suite

The location was good and backs the river. Some of the staff were not overly friendly and the room maids didn't clean up and replace dirty glasses. Nice sizes room but an extremely small bathroom and the air conditioner was too loud. Great full breakfasts and overall condition of the hotel was good.

We were quite pleased with the variety of items at the daily breakfast. There were some good vegetarian options. I particularily appreciated the free parking since I had rented a car. It was close enough to downtown to enjoy a quick 15 minute walk to get to the main arean of the riverwalk.

We stayed the weekend. Was a bit misleading in that it is a hotel on the river walk, but the back end if it. A lot walking to get the the "action" of the river. The complimentary was absolutely the best I've ever had. Great staff

It was ok. The young lady at the front desk during the day was pleasant, the Saturday evening one was very bothered by us when we purchased an evening snack. The room was a great size and had features not usually seen in other hotels. We stayed on the first floor, which was rather unpleasant. It was about a 10-15 minute walk from the busy part of the riverwalk but it was a nice area if you want to stay away from the hustle-n-bustle. We had a wonderful experience here at the Hyatt Place, as we always do. We wanted to stay on the Riverwalk, to take advantage of the beautiful walk and proximity to the downtown area. It is on the edge of the Riverwalk, so it's quiet and peaceful, without all the busyness of people walking up and down the walk, but it is an easy walk to the Plaza, Alamo, […] and Market Square. At check-in, we were given a map of the downtown area to aid us in our "adventure." The rooms are comfortable, nicely furnished, and clean, and a nice size for our family of five to stay. Breakfast is good, much better than most other hotels' continental breakfasts. I also appreciate the value that we got, as parking, breakfast, and internet is all included in the price of the hotel room, unlike the other hotels on the Riverwalk, that all include additional charges for parking, internet, and breakfast. While this hotel is techincally on the Riverwalk, it is 4 blocks away from the stores and resaurants. Nice sized room, clean, very good breakfast for free. Shower/toilet room was ridiculously small. the toilet seat was loose because the door bangs into it when you open and close it.

Rooms very clean and spacious. Great location, 10 minute walk to The Riverwalk, Towers of America and 20minutes to The Almadome. Pool is small with limited space and sun beads, but visited in April so not a problem. Breakfast choice is limited but good quaility. Girlfriend weekend get away was perfect here - 10 min walk to heart of Riverwalk but far enough away rooms were quiet. The inclusive breakfast was ok, but convience made it all ok. Free & plenty of parking. For a beautiful walk head out the back door and in the OPPOSITE direction of downtown - feel like your out in the country - great walk/runs!

This is a great location - walking distance to the Riverwalk and the historic district, with some great neighborhood restaurants and bars (e.g. Fritte cafe and a great little tap room (whose name I forget!). BUT, the toilet in my room had not been cleaned (a guy would probably never notice, but a woman would) and I had a cold, and barely there, drizzly […] shower. When I reported this - and I was nice about it - it barely mustered a nod and an apology from the front desk staff. There were also pizza and take out coupons under my door, which made the hotel feel cheap. This could really be a neat hotel if they took it a little more seriously. We had a king room/suite with a large pull out sofa for our granddaughter to sleep on. There was a wall between us (no door) which provided some privacy, which was nice. Made me look forward to getting up. hotel is right on the Riverwalk .but a bit of a hike from all the shops and restaurants. But the weather was nice and we didn't mind walking.
