Très pratique, bien situé pour aller dans le centre ville d'Ottawa à pied. quartier populaire avec beaucoup de petits commerce. Bon compromis.

Hôtel très bon style. Par contre nous sommes passés nous enregistrer vers 13h on nous a dit de revenir pour 16h et pourtant notre chambre n'était toujours pas prête à 17h..... Chambre très grande, et impressionnante car bien agencée. Par contre la douche fonctionnait tellement mal qu'on avait l'impression de ne pas se laver car pas de débit d'eau correct.

Tout semble correct mis à part le service restauration; pas de restaurant digne de ce nom pour un hôtel de cette catégorie. Les employés sont "moyens" dans leur service. Le client est un peu oublié (restauration) le service d'étage laisse un peu à disirer...plateaux restant dans les couloirs l'après midi.. c'est le seul problème au niveau du service.

"Great choice"
This hotel is a great find. The suites are enormous and the hotel is within a 15 minute walk of downtown. There is not much in the surrounding area but it is very close to town. Could not recommend it more! Great choice in Ottawa!

I found this hotel after a random on-line search. People gave it top marks. We wound up with a huge suite with a full kitchen and two bathrooms. For the price, this was pretty incredible. Great location and overall, a great stay. My only complaint is the front desk staff should know every detail of the parking situation in front of their hotel. My wife and I stayed there for 1 night and were extremely pleased with the room. I booked and paid for a basic room with a queen size bed but when I checked in I had a huge suite - 2 queen size beds in a closed bedroom, large living room and large kitchen. "The Albert at Bay - a home away from home!"
We wanted to bring a home cooked Easter dinner to our U Ottawa attending son, and we were able to do just that at the Albert at Bay. Suite was very spacious with full kitchen and place settings for four. We were 5 for dinner though and needed more plates, cutlery, chairs, etc. Housekeeping had them at our door in 5 minutes!! "a suite not a simple room"
we had a really pleasant stay. the rooms were quite a bit larger than we were expecting (living room, bedroom, kitchen, 2 baths, and a balcony). hotel staff were nice and friendly, and there is a breakfast place around the corner. the only thing that was a bit worrying was the door to the suite. it did not stay shut properly and there was too much play […] between it and its frame. For those interested in visiting the Parliament Building, Mint, National Gallery, etc. there are other hotels a fair bit closer. Nevertheless, we wanted a suite hotel and the Albert is excellent and within easy walking of most central Ottawa attractions. It is also much cheaper than other suite hotels we checked about. The one-bedroom suite was roomy […] and the beds comfortable. The staff were most accommodating. Wow! This hotel is really amazing. It was convenient because there was many plaza or shopping center around for us to buy daily necessities. There was no need to go out and eat everyday. We would cook in our kitchen. It was fully equipped. Amazing experience. Will choose this hotel again when I go down to ottawa.

reception : high hospatility room: terrific gym: very good especially there is a sauna room parking: this is the only thing that annoyed me a bit small room for the car to enter the underground parking, in addition the mobility inside the parking was a bit difficult.

"Very spacious room"
The room we had was very nicely appointed and having the kitchen meant we could have breakfast according to our special diets - a real bonus when you're on the road. The living/dining room was so spacious it was just like being at home. We'll definitely go back.
"Real reading lamps!"
As a seasoned traveller, I have been frustrated by the inability of hotels to provide lights bright enough to read a book by, particularly by the bedside. This hotel had very comfortable beds and great bedside lamps PLUS small bedside reading lamps which just compounded my pleasure at the generous proportions of the suite.

It probably is one of the best hotel value in downtown Ottawa. The suites are very spacious with full kitchen. There is a grocery store on site. The Bistro on Bay restaurant is very nice and very good value. If I come to Ottawa I think I shall stay at this hotel again.

The room was very nice and spacious. We would definitely stay there again. We were there for winterlude and had a very nice time, the only drawback is that it i s a longer walk to the ice sculptures and events for our kids as it was chilly. However it was very lose to Sparks street mall and the houses of Parliament.

"Albert at bay suites"
The hotel itself was perfect. It was clean and comfortable. The location close to downtown and bus route. The only problem I had was the service. It did not feel welcoming.
"Giant Rooms"
This is a great Hotel. The previous night I stayed at the Marriott (3 blocks away) and did not sleep well because of a loud heater fan. The second night I moved to the Albert at Bay and was pleasantly surprised. First, the rooms are gigantic, ~800 square feet or nearly 3 times the size of a typical hotel room. It had a full kitchen although I did not […] use it. It had two full bathrooms, great if you are travelling with a big party. The beds were comfortable and they had a living room and small dinning room separate from the main bedroom. The living room and the bedroom both had giant plasma TV (probably a 42" or 50"). The nicest feature is that the heating is electric baseboard heating instead of the typical hotel heat pump. so this heater was completely silent since there is no fan. I got a great night sleep and would highly recommend this hotel. Sure the lobby is not as nice as the Marriott but certainly was far more comfortable and cost about 40% less. This will definitely be the hotel I stay in when I return to Ottawa Lisez la suite

"Pretty decent for the price."
Pros: +People are very nice and helpful. +Pretty cheap price for a suite. +Very large rooms. +2 TVs, so everyone can watch whatever they want. +Internet access is fast enough. +Well located, close to everything, close to War Museum. +Pretty quiet surroundings. Everything was better than expected. We were in a wonderful 2 X queen bed suite on the 9th floor, facing Albert Street and it was lovely. Add to it the deal we got through hotels..com/.ca and we couldn't have done better... well, maybe if the parking was free. Had an excellent stay at Hotel....great room for family looking to save on eating out as room had full kitchen and living room...room was very clean and Hotel was quiet.....about a 20 minute walk to Parliament buildings...would recommend

Friendly front desk people. I left a note to notify them that the blow dryer was broken and that I wanted lotion. By the time I returned in the afternoon, […] they left me 3 shampoos, 3 conditioners, 3 lotions, 3 bar soaps and a note to say that my blowdryer was fixed. Re: Amenities.
