Rodeway Inn Civic Center - San Francisco

L'accueil est plutôt bon, mais je ne suis pas sûre que les draps étaient propres... Les rideaux pas très propres ça c'est sûr. Cepedant l'hôtel n'est pas cher et à proximité de restaurants et du centre ville et comporte un parking gratuit.

Très bonne situation, proche des sites touristiques. Petit déjeuner léger et servi seulement à la réception pas de possibilité de s'assoir. Réception et chambre tout à fait correctes pour le prix payé.

Hôtel situé dans un quartier où il vaut mieux éviter de sortir le soir (génant à San Francisco!!) Chambre TRES mal insonorisée et peu lumineuse. Seul point positif: proximité du bus.

The Rodeway Inn was just fine - especially for the price. The room was clean and comfy. Parking was free and we got a spot. The only two downsides were the breakfast was just wrapped pastries (gross!) and it was right next to a sketchy area of town. Overall though, I'd recommend it - just keep your street smarts about you!

This hotel is very conveniently located for the SF Civic Center; it was clean and well maintained, free parking, but why the $100.00 security deposit?

Inexpensive hotel. Decent enough neighborhood and close to the bus stop that will take you to most tourist spots. I didn't like that the garage was right in the center of motel. You could hear cars pulling in and out. If you are a light sleeper, definitely try to get on the top floor. The neighborhood seemed safe enough. Cheap. Clean. Super cool staff, easy peasy, helpful... get what you pay for but safe and central located.

Great.....love the comfort n location....perfect for my occasion

I booked this hotel for several nights, for a birthday trip. After my first night, the morning of my birthday,I was informed that the hotel had been "overbooked", and that I would have to move to another hotel. I was told by an "insider" (hotel emplyee) that they had made a mistake by giving me the price I paid, and that their weekend rate is much higher. […] So they would rather move me, so that they could make room for conventioners and/or people who would pay a higher price. The last time I booked the hotel, there was no problem, and I booked it because, though it was more expensive than other hotels that I like more, it was more convenient to the places I would be celebrating my birthday. I think it is appauling that they would even be a part of hotels.com, if a person cannot even be comfortable that they can have a hotel that was booked far in advance..especiall of "walk-ins". We wanted to stay somewhere were it would break our pockets and this hotel was in a perfect location, 1.5 miles to the Warf and nightlife, neighborhood is not the best but its worth the pay, we had a fun time staying here and it felt safe in the hotel.

This hotel is located in the Tenderloin. The roughest section of SF, If folks pushing shopping carts with all their worldly belongings scares you, you may want to choose another hotel. If you can get past this, you will find a small hotel with a great location, great prices and excellent service. We got past it and truly enjoyed our stay. 1.Low quality customer service during at night hours. Telephone connection with front desk didnot work period. First time see in hotels in 20 years. 2. Room was meh, bathroom was very nice, surrounding area was kind of dicey, but hotel is ina very convenient location

We were in San Fran for a Gig at the Fillmore, the hotel was in good walking distance to location of theatre and Japan Town and about 20min walk to Downtown and Union Sq. Room was very clean, quite modern and comfy, had only one minor set back with being able to work the heating during the night when it got a little cold. Every one of the staff, were WONDERFUL There were some "fau paus", but were corrected. Not near downtown, BUT WORTH the distance (easily gotten to, by cab, or bus). Felt safe, and comfortable. I have a few issues, but.. none that I would not be able to address, to them. Birthday weekend, or not..want to stay there. (and, I am a stickler).

Although not fancy at all, the room was perfectly adequate, clean, with a couple of amenities like a little refrigerator and a coffee pot. The beds were adequate, the TV worked, and the parking was included. The area (just off of Van Ness) isn't bad and is convenient to the symphony, opera and the Civic Center. I was attending a 25th year high school reunion and was looking for a hotel nearby and the Rodeway Inn was literally right around from my school! And since i was familiar with the area, I booked there and I was very satisfied from the moment I checked and to my room was ready and CLEAN! The neighborhood is very shady. Parking was a bonus but did not feel my car was safe. And the parking was not guaranteed. Every night was cut short due to all the noise of other guests.

OK for hotel, good price , very good location, But terrible breakfast !!! Too bad they have not a small room for breakfast.

Stayed here one night to attend a concert at the Fillmore. Nothing fancy, but I've definitely stayed in worse places. Lobby is very small.

We chose this hotel because of the location, price, and free parking. It was close to our concert venue, shopping, and neighborhood restaurants. Our room was freshly painted with bright white and apple green colors - the white trim painting was still in process around the bathroom door. The bathroom was freshly painted as well with bright white and […] a yellow accent wall. The carpet and chairs were worn but clean. The air conditioning worked, the window had a good screen, and the beds and bedding were clean. The bedspread was new, but the sheets and blankets showed some wear. Again, everything looked and smelled very clean. We read the reviews of other guests and were prepared when we came home late to park on the street because all of the parking was filled. The front desk was helpful, explaining we had to move our car by 7:00 am or start paying the meter. We were able to move our car into the parking lot because several guests left early that morning. Having traveled extensively, one of our key criteria is whether or not we feel safe. We felt as safe as we would have felt anywhere in the city. It borders a sketchy area, but we did not feel any concerns on this street, coming or going, or interacting with the staff. We talked about whether or not we would stay here again and decided it was a "yes". Not the best, but decent and clean, and we got a great price. With no extra parking fees, this is a find! Conveniently located 1/2 block off Van Ness. Parking. Basic no frills but adequate. Clean. Bed fairly comfortable. TV didn't work, but I wasn't there to watch TV anyway. Convenient little refrigerator in room. Bathroom adequate. And most of all, inexpensive. Neighborhood decent if not great--nearby good restaurants, such as Max's Opera Cafe 1 block […] down Van Ness. If you're looking for a no frills but decent (if charmless) accomodation in downtown San Francisco, near the Civic Center, with parking included in the price, this remains an excellent choice. The hotel was not worth the cost, the elevator was really really old. One ice machine for the whole hotel. The office was too small to have alot of people and for coffee,danishes, orange juices for breakfast. I would not recommend this hotel for the price.

there is not a clock radio in the room, the breakfast is not afished, there is not any conditions to take the breakfast in lobby. It is very appreciated to have a frige and microvawe in the room. Good transit service.

Attendant was rude. The parking is small and the surroundings are very loud. Not worth the money.

Just needed a place to get a few hours sleep. Got just that. Interrupted several times by people walking, either by my room, or on the walkway upstairs. Also by people "locking" their autos. It was also party time somewhere and I wasn't invited. Had my wife been with me we would not have stayed there. Maybe I'm just getting old, huh?

I am a consultant on a 18 month contract in SF. I stay at several hotels in the city every week (M-F) and home on weekends - Reno. When available, I always chose this hotel because of economics, location, safety, cleanliness and proximity to my work location. The staff is excellent and very professional. The accommodations are good quality, the pillows […] are as good as you will find in higher priced hotels. When this is not available, I do stay at more expensive hotels which offer a little more but when weighing in the location and pillows, this place comes out ahead. Easy, painless stay. Everything worked. FREE PARKING! and close in. Best of low-budget in my estimation.

this hotel seemed a bit run down; the fixtures seemed to be a couple decades old. but everything worked well: heater, microwave, tv, fridge, hot water, toilet, wi-fi. it seemed like a solid cheap hotel. if you're looking for a place to crash, it's pretty reasonable.

Room was okay. Could not sleep with all the people outside of my door having a party asked for them to quiet down they did for a hole 2 minutes walls are paper thin smoking rooms are below the non smoking rooms so the smoke rises. Great location. Numerous close-by restaurant (nice sit down or casual), also fast food & close by entertainment. Rooms are decent have friges/microwaves which is convenient and this most recent room I was given was very very cozy. Very clean even though it is an older building. Didnt even notice that other people were in the complex (pretty quiet). If you're looking for a cheap stay near union square or japan town its great for that. Wouldn't say any bit of it is luxurious, but it's a relatively clean place to stay for a few nights. I didnt have any issues with the hotel or the surrounding area. I would stay here again if i found myself in SF.
