I stayed 2 weeks, it was amazing! The staff was great and helpful. South Bank is one of the best place in Melbourne near Flinder Station. The price is very cheap. You can run !

Très bonne situation, à 10 min à pied du gros centre d'activité touristique, ou à 1 min en tramway. L'arrêt est juste devant l'hôtel, et il y a en 1 toutes les 2 min environs. L'accueil est excellent et les chambres confortables. Il y a eu un problème d'évacuation dans la salle de bain, et le personnel nous a de suite placé dans une chambre de catégorie supérieure pour toute la durée de notre séjour. La salle de sport est fonctionnelle, la piscine et le jacuzzi sur le toit sont les bienvenus, et il y a un parking souterrain qui coute bien moins cher que si on gare notre voiture dans la rue... De plus nous n'avons pas entendu de bruit la nuit: l'isolation phonique est donc bonne. On recommande!

très pratique car bien situé en centre ville , préférez les chambres dans les étages élevés. Confortable avec une mini cuisine .

"The Vibe "Best place to stay in Melbourne""
The Vibe is always my first choice to stay in Melbourne. I have told many others about it and I always stress the great location opposite Southern Cross Station. The staff are friendly and helpful and I love the way the rooms are decorated. The breakfast is amazing with a tastefully designed dining area. What else could you ask for??

I booked 1 room for 4 adults. paid the surcharge, and upon arriving to the hotel we find out they do not accomadate 4 adults in the one room, even though they offer the service online.The other couple were forced to stay else where !and they offered a refund on the surcharge once we checked out in the morning. So we get to check out and the boy on the […] front desk refused to pay us the money OWED to us. He was very very rude. So we had to speak to the manager and finally the matter was solved. Stayed at the Vibe Savoy Dec 3-5. Phoned ahead to arrange flowers and champagne to propose to my girlfriend - the front office staff arranged everything and even gave us the champagne as a gift which was totally unexpected. Thanks to Handy and a Pakistani man whom I can't remember his name - sorry. As far as the room goes - fairly good value. Bed was […] great, TV was modern - but old fridge, old kettle (very long boil time) and the bathroom is clean but very old - unlike the rest of the hotel which has a modern fit out. Very good location within short walk of the main bus and train terminal and also relatively close to the shops and restaurants along the Yarra River. Room was nice and comfortable but perhaps a bit small.

We were very pleased to be given a quiet room, it was very comfortable. The reception staff were helpful when we decided to stay an extra night. We would recommend the hotel to anyone wanting a central position close to the station.

We arrived before check in time and were told by the staff that we would be called when our room was ready. We were never called. We booked a twin room with two single beds and open our doors to a double bed. Although they did change the bedding for us it was an inconvenience to wait. We never received our complimentary paper. The tables and shelves […] didnt seem to have been dusted in quite some time. Not a hotel for those who are wanting to be close to the action of melbourne's finest shopping and restaurants. "GOOD LOCATION FOR SOME"
The Price / Value was very good.I liked the location. Some other people might not like as it is a bit of walk to main area of downtown. Not a long walk though. I used the Train and Tram so location was excellent for that. Rooms was quiet and nice. The staff that i dealt with were nice. The hotel although without an imposing entrance has all you can need for a trip to Melbourne. Conveniently located within a short walk of Collins Street had both tram and train stations near by and two great coffee lounges within a 1 block walk from the hotel for a great breakfast indoor or outdoor weather permitting. "Very Dusty Room"
The Hotel was well located. The room was of descent size and well maintained. However, the our room was not too clean (way to much dust in the closet). There rooms with "a view" do not really have any view.

The hotel was nicely presented in a 1930's style and clean. The staff were polite. The room was of average size and rather dark. There was no view from the window, being at the side of the building, but it didn't matter much for the single night we spent there. More disappointing was the fact that the bar was stocked with drinks and snacks at exhorbitant […] prices. If they had been more reasonably priced, we may well have bought some. Also we were disappointed that the hotel restaurant was closed so that we were only able to have burgers in the public bar. The food was fine but not what we had hoped for. "Ideal for Footy Fans"
This was my second stay at the Vibe and it was equally as enjoyable as the first. If you plan on catching the footy action whilst in Melbourne, this location is the best, across the road from Docklands and a tram ride away from the MCG. Exceptional value for money.

Although we felt this hotel was more 3.5 or 4 star than the higher rating, it proved to be in a good location for what we wanted. It is opposite the Southern Cross railway station so we simply walked over the road to catch the Overland train. It was also close to tram stops to get around the city itself. My wife and I were both very happy with the service and value for money at this hotel. Public transport was on-hand virtually outside the main entrance. This was our first visit to Melbourne but we soon got used to getting around the CBD. For sports fans, the MCG and Etihad Stadium are close by (within walking distance). My only complaint would be with […] the price of the drinks and nibbles etc in the fridge in the room.
