Cet hôtel est bien situé dans le quartier des Cortes , les prestations sont correctes , mais le service est particulièrement lent et l’accès au Whirlpool est payant ce qui pour un 5 étoiles est tout à fait inhabituel !

Accueil très mauvais, longue attente pour obtenir les clés alors que 3 réceptionnistes étaient présents et que nous étions les seuls au comptoir. Incompréhensible... Tout est payant, pas du niveau 5 étoiles...

Qualité de la chambre honorable mais niveau de service calamiteux pour un 5 étoiles ! Avec une arrivée à 00h00, 40 min ont été nécessaire pour obtenir les clés. L'accès au sauna, piscine est facturé 15 euros par personne par jour + 3 euros pour acheter un bonnet de bain ce qui n'est pas précisé sur la description de l'hôtel. Et le comble de la mesquinerie […] lors de la sortie, après avoir payé 81 euros de parking pour 3 jours, nous remontons à la chambre finaliser les valises et descendons au parking, 18 min se sont écoulés depuis la validation et la réception nous a demande 1,60 supplémentaire pour 3 min alors qu'en soit nous avons déjà payé pour la journée entière ... Très bon hôtel, au calme du reste de la ville. le bar et le spa sont bien tenus et le personnel est serviable et chaleureux. Les petits déjeuners sont extra ordinaires. Le seul point un peut négatif: Il est un peut "loin" du centre de la vie Barcelonnaise, mais on ne peut pas tout avoir, proximité et calme.

Nous recommandons cet hôtel. Le Melia est situé dans un quartier chic de l'Eixample à 600 de la station de metro Hospital Clinic. Nous y avons été très bien accueillis par du personnel parlant français. Le service et les renseignements donnés sont excellents. Les chambres bénéfcicient du WIFI gratuit, d'un king size bed, d'une baignoire et d'une douche […] balnéo...bref c'est le luxe ! Le menu que nous avons pris au restaurant est d'un bon rapport qualité/prix. Le buffet petit déjeuner est démentiel ! Les conso du bar "lounge" sont en revanche un peu chères. Le SPA, petit, est gratuit dans notre formule et nous avons pu en profiter après nos longues journées de marche dans Barcelone. Breff nous recommandons cet hôtel sans hésiter bien qu'il soit un peu éloigné des attractions touristiques de la ville (mais très bien déservi par le métro et les taxis sont peu chers). I didn't know what to expect and was very pleasantly surprised. Upon our arrival, we were told about the breakfast plan. For 49 euros we could have an upgraded room along with a delicious breakfast plan daily. I opted for the city view room when I was doing my booking, I didnt see the difference really.The initial room I was given was had a NASTY smell, the room had to be changed. In my opinion its definitely not a 5 * hotel, the rooms werent that modern. and it was way too small.The staff was nice though and the room was cleaned promptly.

Loved everything about it. Front desk very helpful. Only down side was that the internet station wasn't working. I was'nt aware of additional computers on 1st floor until my last day. It was absolutely fantastic. Everyone was so kind and helpful. Breakfast was awesome. It was a short taxi ride to main places in Barcelona. The room was great even though it was not one of the most expensive. I will definitely stay there again when I go back to Barcelona.

From the US, stayed with my girlfriend. Very nice hotel, the staff was friendly and helpful. They all speak about four different languages. Hotel was very nice, clean, and well designed. One minor detail, the lobby smelt odd... not bad, not good, just odd. Can't explain more than that. Didn't actually eat here, but the restaurant looked nice, as well […] as the lounge area. The room was very nice, liked everything about it. One minor thing they needed to fix, the shower had a bit of mold on the ceiling, didn't look very good. One other thing about the service which really upset me, we had our Do Not Disturb sign on the door, but they still literally entered our room without knocking while my girlfriend was naked. Proof that those signs don't always get the job done. Finally, the location is good, but not great. You are basically on the Diagonal, which is the main parkway with all the shopping and stores. But the hotel is on the West end, so you need to do some walking to get to the really nice area. I feel like I am being pretty harsh in this review, overall the stay was excellent. They just could've done a few small things to take it above and beyond, but fell short on some details. Was told there was a seasonal pool and there was not. Breakfast was cold. The pool was 15 euros per person plus 3 euros for a swimming cap and 6 euros for flip flops - all of these you had to have or you could not use the pool

Great place to stay with clean rooms and very friendly staff who were happy to help with transport and travel enquiries regarding tourist destinations etc. The twin standard room was a reasonable size but not overly spacious. The Hotel is located slightly away from the centre of town in a business district however transport links are good and the 59 […] bus goes straight to placa catalunya and carries on to the beach, a short 20 min journey away! The open top tourist bus also has a stop close by to the hotel with was convenient and useful. Breakfast at the hotel was great with a wide selection to choose from each morning. The hotel is in the shopping area but not close to La Rambla, no near by tube halt and bus is a 10min walk away but does leave La Rambla and stop near hotel. This hotel work for a short business trip only - sharp lines, sterile modern business decor, close to the business district and conference centre, and far from tourist areas and from the beach - not really walkable for tourists. The basic rooms are shoebox-size tiny, can walk around the bed without bumping hips and shoulders into the walls, nowhere […] near what you'd expect for a holiday at this high price. Good shopping and restaurants in easy walking distance. 10 minute taxi ride to La Rumbla. Hotel was great. Upon arrival at the hotel, we immediately went to the concerige for help to locate our luggage. Hugo helped up immensly and we felt he went above and beyond to help us locate our luggage.
