Bon hôtel sur Berlin, avec un bon prix. Un peu excentré du centre de la ville mais possibilité de se déplacer en métro, gare à proximité en marchant. Excellent petit déjeuner continental. Personnel accueillant. Bon hôtel pour voyage en famille.

Hôtel proche d'une myriade de restaurants sympas, ainsi que du U-bahn et S-bahn, ce qui est plutôt pratique et met les endroits "qu'il faut voir" à distance très raisonnable.

Very clean and modern hotel. The breakfast is colossal and tasty, with an incredible range of dishes. The sauna was very appreciated after days of rain. The matress was too soft, which is the only flaw we can point. It's nicely located, close to good & cheap restaurants, not too far from S-bahn stations.

Hôtel confortable et très propre, excellent petit déjeuner très varié. Le personnel est acceuillant et efficace. L'hôtel est bien situé au niveau des transports,on peut se rendre facilement à la station de train à pied et le tram se situe au bout de la rue. Le trajet de train jusqu'a Alexanderplatz se fait en 10 minutes.

Propre, beaux petits dejeuner chambre petite en standard pas de grande couette ou couverture, des couettes une personne pour des lits doubles !

Personnel très agréable, hôtel propre et chambre agréable. Le petit déjeuner buffet est très diversifié et c'est bon. Le must est que l'hôtel se situe dans un agréable quartier (plein de restaurants et petites boutiques) et non loin du S et U Bahn.

Cet hôtel est très agréable. Il est situé dans une rue calme proche des arrêts de tram. Les restaurants et boîtes de nuit ne sont qu'à quelques rues plus loin. Le petit-déjeuner est très complet et délicieux.

The hotel is well kept and clean with a good restaurant service and everyone speaks english. It is a little far from downtown Munich but the train station is 10 minutes away walking.

Rooms ja whole hotel was wonderful. Breakfast also. Free Internet (wi-fi) worked only in the lobby. And not so good there either, connection went down all the time (both mobile phone and lap top). Service could have been more friendly, and in english better.

Well located on a quiet street in Friedrichshain, easy walk to S-Bahn, U-Bahn and Tram on Warschauer St. Neighborhood has a lot to offer in the way of shops, restaurants, cafes. Felt very safe. Pleasant small hotel, rooms basic but comfortable. Minibar and safe in the room. Staff all spoke good English and were competent and genuinely helpful. Breakfast […] buffet was outstanding! Restaurant was also quite okay with decent prices. Room service available. Small sauna open 6 to 10 PM, free. There is a computer and free internet in the lobby. Got a very good room rate through internet sites, better than offered on the hotel's own website which are about double. This hotel is quite popular and books fast, especially on weekends. We had an enjoyable time in Berlin..it was a trip down memory lane as we lived there for 2 years in the 70's, it was also my 60th Birthday treat. The hotel was excellent, if a little far away from the bustle of the city. We hired a car so it wasn't a problem for us. We really missed not having tea/coffee making facilities in our room, I guess that is […] what you get for a budget deal and the price of the water was extortionate. A very good hotel with all relevant facilities. Very large breakfast buffet, and own parking cellar. 10 minutes walk to nearest U-bahn, and only 5 minutes to large restaurant area. No problems at all.

I was thoroughly impressed with this hotel. The staff was friendly and helpful, the room was spacious and clean, and the free breakfast was amazing. The neighbourhood is full of great little bars, galleries, restaurants, etc, but you should walk to the other side of Warschauer Str. to get to the best part (2-3 blocks). Very clean. Very well managed and staffed. Fantastic breakfast. It was the first night after our wedding and my wife told them over the phone that it was our "mini moon" break before heading back to London. They threw in snacks and nibbles, fruits and a bottle of sparking wine. Extremelly appreciated! Hotel was excellent. Well situated for the tram and the underground was less than 10 mins walk away with easy access direct to Alexander Platz (.only 4 stops) The staff were very helpful and friendly . Lots of choices for breakfast, plentiful and was constantly being replenished. Our only problem was that there was no air conditioning available in the […] room and whislt we were there it was exceptionally hot so it was a little uncomfortable at night. My wife daughter and I stayed three nights between 31/5/11and 2/6/11, and I must say we enjoyed our stay. The hotel has good facilites, including a sauna which we used at the end of a days sightseeing. The room was clean and comfortable . Breakfasts are buffet and there is plenty of choice however if you want a "proper" english you may be disappointed,they […] have scrambled egg sausages and meatballs.We found plenty to fill up on though. The staff were pleasant and attentive . The roof terrace is a pleasant place to sit on a warm evening with its patio furniture. The surrounding area looks a bit run down with plenty of graffitti but there are some great little restaurants nearby.The local rail station has both s bahn and u bahn access to both the airport and the city centre. I would recommend the Berlin welcome card which can be purchased on flights or berlin info shops, the three of us had unlimited travel all around Berlin and to and from the airport. Lovely hotel, clean, tidy,smart. 10mins walk to main underground then easy to get to centre, airports etc. Great spread for breakfast! Very pleased with the Easter egg left for us outside our room!

The hotel staff was exceptionally helpful and the room was very clean. The hotel price represented an outstanding deal considering the excellent breakfast that was included and free wifi in the lobby. The hotel is very close to the train station and was very easy to find (even though it was dark when i got there). The area feels very safe and, to be fair, didn't have anyone that resembled anything other than a normal person walking about. The hotel itself was really nice at the reception. It took about 1 minute to check in and the lady spoke good […] English and was very friendly. The room itself was modern, exceptionaly clean and tidy and had the appearance you expeceted to find in a much higher priced hotel. I would rcm'd this place to anyone wanting to stay in a good/cool location (lots of students etc) with lots of good bars nearby, really safe (confirmed by my local friend) which also has the train station nearby to travel about the city effortless. The hotel is only five minutes' walk from the S-bahn station at Warschauer Strasse and even closer to tram stops. It is modern, clean and welcoming. Our room was spacious, well-equipped (microwave, sink, fridge, coffee machine, kettle, crockery and cutlery, fax machine, remote control colour TV) and great value. En suite had a good shower but no bath. […] The much-praised breakfast was superb, with everything from yoghurt, cereals and fresh fruit to sausages, miniburgers and scrambled eggs, cold meats and fish, pastries and bread. The restaurant offered excellent cuisine throughout the day and the staff were extremely helpful. Berlin's public transport is efficient and reasonably priced if you buy a pass rather than individual tickets. A seven-day ABC zone pass (taking you from Schoenfeld airport to the city and out to Potsdam in the east) is 32 euros, which works out at less than £4 a day. Anybody interested in 20th century history will be spoilt for choice. Highlights of our stay were watching Hertha Berlin at the Olympic Stadium (those Germans certainly know how to clap and chant in unison), being given a free talk at the Reichstag (English-language tours on Tuesday mornings; book in advance at the front office); and seeing Divine Comedy at the Lido on Cuvrvy Strasse, a 15-minute walk from the hotel. The Botanical Gardens and the Garden der Weldt will delight horticulturalists. A boat trip on the Spree is best taken with a guide rather than an audio recording because the commentary is pretty basic. Museums are everywhere but one of the best is the DDR Museum, which traces the rise and fall of East Germany. Good for children and adults. And if you like chocolate visit the Rittersport shop near the Brandenburg Gate, where the almost limitless products are about half what they cost in Britain. Shopping can be expensive (when you get only 1.15 euros to the pound) but there are bargains to be had in the huge C&A stores. My wife and I will certainly return to Germany's cap Lisez la suite

My only quibble was not enough towels and no bath, must be the green agenda. Would recomend this hotel BUT only in the cooler months. No air conditioning a huge problem in July. We had to keep the window open at night as the room was like a sauna, this itself presented problems as the hotel is in a residential area and was very noisy. Breakfast very good.

when we arrived we went to our room, standard room on the first floor over looking the front of the hotel, That night we couldnt sleep due to th noise outside?? The following morning we asked to be moved to another room and the hotel kindly moved us to a room at the rear of the hotel. The staff were very nice and the restaurant was Ok.

Not a bad place. Lack of air-conditioning was a disappointment. Breakfast was very good to excellent. Not a very convenient neighborhood.

I was only there for three nights but I have nothing negative to say about this hotel. The hotel was spotless and the hotlel staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast although being mainly continental(as you would expect)there was a great variety to choose from.

I've stayed at this hotel twice now and both times I've been very impressed. The area is great- very near many shops and restaurants. The East Side Gallery is walkable from the hotel. Room was quiet & comfortable and the hotel is close to the train which comes in from Berlin Schoenfeld airport. Really great area for food & drink. The hotel also gives you a massive selection for breakfast and have free bicycles for hotel guests. Their roof top terrace is nice too if it's sunny out.

Et på alle måter trivelig opphold i et nytt, pent og ordentlig hotell med hyggelig betjening i et rolig strøk. Alle severdigheter lett tilgjengelige gjennom U- og S-Bahn-nettet. Spesielt interessant syntes vi det var å bo i et område som tidligere tilhørte Øst-Berlin, og hvor man ennå tydelig kan se forskjellene i bebyggelsen, trafikken og butikkene, […] f.eks. langs paradegaten Karl-Marx-Allee, i forhold til det hypervestlige handlestrøket langs Kurfürstendamm i det gamle Vest-Berlin. Vi havde et dejligt ophold på Hotel Upstalboom. Det er et rigtigt lækkert hotel, rent, gode store værelser, venligt personale og rigtigt god morgenmad. Men der er et STORT men. Hotellets beliggenhed er simpelthen ikke god nok i forhold til metro og Berlin centrum. Der er ca. en kilomet til nærmeste s-bane og metro. Friedrischain er et skønt område med […] mange gode caféer og restaurenter, og gode og lette muligheder for at komme ind til centrum. Men hotellet ligger bare for langt fra alt dette. Derfor får hotellet ikke topkarakterer, selvom hotellet bestemt ikke fejler noget. Lisez la suite

Topp hotell, topp service, topp frokost. De med baby fikk babyseng og babyteppe på rommet med et lite kjøkken i tillegg. Fantasitisk. Store rom.

For 5. gang har vi nydt vores ophold på Uppstalboom. Hotellet har en super beliggenhed mht transport og spisemuligheder. Renligheden er i top og ikke mindst morgenmaden er værd at opleve. Personalet er meget venligt og yder en god service.

kort vei til trikk, S-bahn og U-bahn gjør det enkelt å ta seg rundt i byen. Pluss for veldig bra frokost!!

Rent, pænt, venligt, fantastisk morgenmad, ikke langt til u-bahn, sporvogn og bus, hyggeligt kvarter med gode restauranter. Vi regner med at vælge samme hotel næste gang.
