Chambre très petite, en sous pente. Hotel OK, mais pas pour plus d'une nuit! Wifi gratuit!

Chambre qui pue les égouts, personnel qui ne fait rien pour, qualité de la chambre et propreté qui ne vallent de loin pas 4 étoiles... Dommage, il y aurai de quoi faire mieux..., c est le strict minimum pour di 4 étoiles

This hotel is THE place where NOT to go in Copenhagen. Well situated but crappy. I have changed rooms twice to get on the wifi and it could not work so I had to go to the conference center each time I wanted to read an email. The plug in the sink was so full of hair that I could have myself a wig done. I had to mention it 3 times before they actually […] did something. The service was very unfriendly and even mean at some point. I was not the only unsatisfied client. ANother point is the comfort of those rooms. Being small is not always a problem but the bed would not have been better in a low cost Hostel, cracking and with an overaged mattress. the cover was dirty and old... All in all, I do no recommend this hotel. En résumé: Service très peu acceuillant, tarifs très au dessus des prestations (wifi inutilisable, mobilier ancien et détérioré) et propreté douteuse. bien placé ,chambre supérieure de bon confort,petit déjeuner bien sans plus,accueil moyen,un petit détail :attention pour les personnes âgées il faut monter ses valises a pied dans l escalier pour atteindre l ascenseur, court mais raide!

Hello, This hotel has 4 * But if you book by internet, the room given is not a room from a 4* hotel. The quality of the room is for a 2* hotel.

Certainement pas un 4 étoiles ! Chambre avec entrée d'air le long des fenêtres, tout juste chaud dans la pièce en plein mois de février avec - 5 dehors. Pas de verre à dent. Apporté en cours de matinée. Pas de porte serviette. Pas de balai wc. Lumière glauque et basse dans la chambre. Lits complètement mous. Mobilier digne d'un zéro étoile. Ménage pas […] fait le 2ème jour. Serviettes pas renouvelées. Aucune chaîne télé internationales à part CNN et encore très mal captée. Impossible de voir les films proposés. Aucun mobilier dans la salle de bain pour poser sa trousse de toilette, aucun rangement ou étagère. Bruit dès 6 h du matin roulement de chariot de livraison pour l'établissement du rc. Great location, friendly and efficient staff. Traveling with my parents (senior citizens) and my toddler, our free upgrade to a suite was ideal. We had a good size apartment to come back from sightseeing and relax. Complete buffet breakfast. l'hôtel est bien situé, mais le service est inexistant et certaines chambres bruyantes. En outre le descriptif de l'hotel sur le site hotel.com prévoyait le petit déjeuner compris et arrivé sur place on nous a demandé de payer le petit déjeuner.

Très bien situé mais pas vraiment un 4 étoiles. Peu d'ascenceurs pour accéder aux chambres. Côté rue parfois très bruyant (mais période d festival donc peut-être exceptionnel). Chambre au premier prix très sommaire. Hôtel quand même très bon rapport qualité-prix / environnement. Donc avis très positif quand même;

La nuit était un peu bruyante à cause du grand boulevard assez proche. Accueil agréable et correct. Beaucoup de services offerts.

Des fils électriques raffistolés partout dans la chambre, lit coincé contre le mur, moquette pourri. Le deuxième jour, pas de nouvelles serviettes, pas de papier toilette en plus, pas de savons, déco à refaire de toute urgence !!! Séjour début avril. Temps très froid, néanmoins pas trop pluvieux. Chambres en suite : très agréable à regagner entre deux visites de sites... proche des activités touristiques. Chambres au bout du couloir et très tranquilles. Parking pour voiture à disposition. TV par satellite, mais pas de chaînes françaises.

Everything fine but the car entrance to the parking yard was very narrow and while watching the side mirrors I didn´t see the stairs that was on the left side, I hit it and my tire exploded. No sign of WARNING.

Copenhagen is an expensive city, so at a moderate price which the hotel offers, i did not expect much - but even for an european standard, this hotel is not 3 stars, I'm sorry. Only drawback to the entire trip to Copenhagen was this hotel - lack of service and comfort - during the entire stay, I had wished that I had gone for high end hotel (spend more […] money) or the simple hostel. No towels in the bathroom and used glass with toothpaste in. .. Was told to wait 20 minutes if I needed irons ... Cold room, no heat in the bathroom floor. A single non-adjustable radiator to heat the room.

This place is perfect for a city trip. The rooms are ok and clean, but do not have the 4 star standard as we know from germany. If you want to spend time in a hotel, I would not book this one. If you just want to have a place to sleep and have a shower, I would recommend it. From there you can walk all over the place. The most easy way to discover to […] the city is to take one of the "free rent a bikes". You will find them in the city. The hotel also rents bikes, but you have to pay for it. The Ascott hotel is located near the central train station in Copenhagen, close to shopping and the University of Copenhagen. I thought my room (a Double) was pretty large and clean. The bed mattresses however were fairly worn, and sunk in enough to be slightly uncomfortable.

Great location! Short 200m walk from Central Station, just beside Vesterport metro station, in a quiet street. Try the Italian restaurant on the corner next to the Ascot - Il Peccato. Wood-burning pizza oven and excellent Italian cuisine!

Its very well situated, clean rooms and alright sized rooms. If you're looking for a luxury or SPA weekend then this is not the place. Except for at check in/out the staff only greeted us once in 5 days, so they're either very busy or just full of themselves. Also the room have what you need, but are nothing you'll be impressed about. It was perfect […] for our plan to visit friends and do some sightseeing in the area, as the hotel is perfectly situated and is clean, where many other city hotels often fail. We stayed in a lovely little room. Just perfect and central. The staff was very helpful and polite. Would definitely return.

Arriving in the evening to an ice cold room. Heating was off and had to go to bed with clothes on for a while. The windows in the room are extremely old fashion and one part has only a single glass. Understand why the cold weather outside is penetrating into the room. In the middle of the night (04.30 or so) I was waken up due to a lot of noice from […] the street. Think it was garbage or cleaning containers moved out from hotel. Then there was some building activities on the oposite side of the street starting before 06.00, so impossible to sleep. Wasn't in the main building and this was more like a hostel with thin walls so you could hear conversations from other rooms and very noisy outside with lots of kitchen and related activity ongoing through the night. Was overpriced too.

The hotel does not have its own restaurant (probably just as well given the high cost and mediocre quality of the breakfasts), but actively promotes a number of neighbouring restaurants. We ate at one of these, Il Peccato, and two of the group suffered from food poisoning. The timing, and who had eaten what at that and other meals meant that it could […] be isolated beyond all reasonable doubt to that restaurant. The restaurant's response was simply to deny (very rudely) that it could be their fault, while the hotel's response was to point out that they have no responsibility for the restaurant (although there is a menu in every hotel room) and to tell us to 'have a nice day'. This is a very nice centrally located hotel with friendly and efficient staff, however, the walls in our room were very thin so we were very aware of all movement along the corridor and adjoining rooms which seriously disturbed our sleep. Not recommended for light sleepers.

The hotel was older and clean. The lift was small and quite a tight fit but easy to go up and down the stairs (only 4 floors). The front desk staff were nice enough but there was no one to assist with luggage. You have to carry your bags downstairs yourself and stow your bags in a big room (not very convenient or secure considering people were in and […] out of the room without supervision). The room itself was quite small and the heaters were under the windows so when you shut the curtains the heat was blocked (I was chilled). Other small things like not having a rubbish bin in the room (there was a very small one in the bathroom) was an annoyance. Overall it was just okay and would be okay for a short stay if you were spending the majority of your time out of your room. Our room (103) was hot and noisy. The ventilation was very poor and you could hear absolutely every conversation from people passing our room in the hallway. The noise from the outside was also disturbing especially at night. The fitness room in the basement was ok but the equipment was either broken or low budget (treadmill). You can easily be fooled into believe that this hotel has something to do with Spa, but NOT, only a simple store where you can book a facial. The room smelled really badly and cleaning must have been done by a sleeping zombie. Location wise this was the only thing that lived up to the hotels 4 stars.

The hotel location and overall service were great, but the room was so uncomfortable I would never choose to go back. The room was small, had a twin bed, and the layout was such that I could not even stretch out my arms without the fear of knocking something over. The room was EXTREMELY cold (this was in October). I was not able to control the heat […] setting and had to ask for an additional down comforter for the bed. The room was so uncomfortably cold that as soon as I got back to it I would have to get under the covers and stay there to stay warm. Also, the shower water leaked into the rug of the bedroom area due to the room design (and perhaps a faulty sealant... but still). There was also a lot of hallway noise that came into my room. This room was definitely not worth what I paid for. A colleague of mine was assigned a room right next to mine... she took one step in (to her room, which was similar) and went straight to the front desk and said it was unacceptable. They put her in a room 3x the size with a king bed for no extra cost... I probably should have done the same, but had already unpacked and didn't think it was worth it at the time... but after a week in this room, I was regretting the decision to stay!! Lisez la suite

The hotel is close to the train station (~5' walk) and you can also walk easily to the places like Nyhavn (~20'' walk) etc. My room was ok and claen but the bathroom was very smelly (it seems they have a problem with their sewer system). I assume the more costly rooms are in a better condition.

When I arrived at the Ascot, I was given a terrible room--very small and depressing. I called the front desk and asked to be moved and was given a lovely, large, and very comfortable room. I guess they'll give you what you settle for. I had a great stay (one week) in my new room, but I would have been miserable in the original one, so be sure to speak […] up, nicely, if you are not satisfied with what they give you. Basic room was cold and no anything like in the pictures on this site. Renowated maybe in the 90's. Room was also noisy in the night and the towels and the sheets should have been thrown away long ago. Atleast our room was nowhere near the scandinavian standards. Can recommendate this to anyone as it was also pretty expensive.

This is an old hotel that has been refurbished but remains old and dusty. You are being asked to queue at reception to collect a breakfast voucher instead of just giving your room number at the entrance (why?) and mostly the hotel is advertised like a "Hotel & Spa", this is a lie. There is no Spa, they have never been and they will never be. There is […] a Spa in the same street that has NO agreement with the hotel and for which you will be charged as any other customer. It is therefore cunning and deceiving to call it a Hotel with Spa because it is not the truth. For this reason, and also the fact that the hotel is old and dusty, the beds are rather small and the rooms stuck in the 70's, I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. Lisez la suite

Quite a nice hotel with good facilities.

The hotel was clean, well maintained, and very well located being within easy walking distance of the central sites. I'm not sure it's really a 4 star hotel - more of a 3+. The room was quite small. The balcony looked out into a small enclosed space at the back. There is no air conditioning and we were too hot all 3 nights. Lighting in the room was […] very poor. Lighting in the bathroom illuminates the top of your head but not your face. Breakfast was very expensive (perhaps mainly because Denmark is very expensive) and the cooked breakfast was not very good - choice of scrambled egg (overcooked and very rubbery), chipolata sausages, pancakes, and boiled eggs. No bacon, mushrooms, tomatoes etc.. Cold buffet was better, and a good choice of fresh bread, rolls, Danish pastries etc.. Very tiny room, but great location and very good breakfast!

Extremely small rooms even for Europe. Beds were small as well. Two twins were college dorm size. Internet access was intermittent. It took two days to get an iron. Great location near Tivoli Gardens, but I would not repeat a stay at this hotel.

Had us scheduled for the wrong room---beds somewhat small---didn't eat in the restaurant as we found nice places around the hotel.

A centrally located hotel... close to all the public transportation to anywhere in Copenhagen. Two blocks away from Central Station which is an easy / cheap train ride from the airport. We'll stay again...!

Located at the central but hide away from the busy railway station. Stay at the renewly renovated room, space not too small, value for money.
