"Great staff but property is in poor condition"
Great staff. Housekeeping did a good job. The bed was surprisingly comfortable. That said, the hotel is in a run-down part of town, the hotel itself is in poor condition, the air conditioner was really noisy and I didn't feel safe.
"My night at Econo Lodge North"
This was a nice little motel located in a cute area, with a Walgreens and many fast-food restaurants within walking distance. It took about 15 minutes to get from here to where we needed to go in downtown Nashville. The staff was nice enough and checking in was a breeze. As for the room, it was suitable. The beds were comfortable enough to get a good […] night's sleep. The only complaints I have is that one, the air conditioner was very odd.. It switched on and off for varying amounts of time all night, and this was slightly annoying. Also the pool was closed, which I was very disappointed about considering it was mid-April. I thought it was warm enough to let the guests choose whether or not it was plausible to swim in. After all, Tennessee's Spring is much hotter than some states' Summers. But overall this was a positive experience, and at the low price this was a steal. It doesn't blow your mind like a 4 or 5 star place would, but it serves it's purpose. I would definitely recommend a stay here. Lisez la suite

"no customer service, black mold in bathroom"
far away from any location of interest. only saving grace is there are some restaurants (mostly fast food) within the area.
"Close to I65"
Easy access to freeway. Utilitarian. Basic lodging.
I would stay at this hotel again. Reasonable rates.
"Mixed Feelings"
After staying here I now understand why the place got reviews that were all over the place. Yes, it was convenient off the freeway and not too far to downtown. Yes the room was "clean", as in no garbage and clean sheets and towels. Yes, the staff was friendly. And yes, the price was low, but beware the taxes were a full 20% of the room price. But there […] was a distinct odor to my room that was somewhere between mold/mildew and a decomosing body! The place was very dated but everything worked. I might consider staying again, but I would never take a girlfriend/wife there. There are lots of other hotels in this price range so read the reviews and decide for yourself. Lisez la suite

"Decent lodgings for decent price"
It was good served my purpose for a place to stay. The one thing I loved was the dispensers for shampoo, lotion and soap. I hope all hotels do that in the future
"Never again!"
Very noisy. The breakfast was bad, the juice bad, had an old loaf of white bread, milk in a gallon jug to share. Bath tub had a slow drain.
"Good basic hotel"
Good basic hotel with all you need a bed, cable, wireless, fridge, microwave, and even breakfast.

"EconoLodge Jekyll n Hyde"
This was our second stay here since our first stay was preety good. Apparently we got a renewed room the first time. The room this time was very low quality and cleanliness was bad. Toilet issues. Won't use them again when traveling thru.

"Great value and CLEAN"
We just needed a place to sleep on the north side of Nashville. Normally I'd be afraid of a place this cheap, but it had good ratings -- and they were deserved. Simple, 1980s bedspreads (though probably newer since they were not worn), but SUPER clean bathroom, plus a microwave and little fridge.
"Good"
We had a very satisfying stay. The bed was confortable and our needs were met. As I'm handicaped. My husband says we left our cell phone changer. Not your fault. Is there any way we could get it back?
"Clean and affordable"
We found this hotel at the last time online. Since it had great reviews we took a chance. We were not disappointed. The room was very clean!
"Dirty room"
I just needed some place inexpensive for the night, but this place was so disgusting. There was visible clumps of dirt on the carpet, and the bathroom area was tiled and there was actual shampoo on the floor that hadn't been cleaned from the previous guest. There was a "trapdoor" above the bed that made me nervous, and when I called to change rooms, […] she told me all the rooms featured a trapdoor. The "breakfast" consisted of frozen pastries, watered down orange juice, frosted flakes, 2% milk. That's it. I would pay more for a better room, even if you're tempted not to. Lisez la suite
"older motel i do not recommend"
The beds were hard, you could hear outside noise, and the bathroom had hair in it and stains in tub...older motel...i am not picky but it was in poor condition
This is one of the best motel rooms we've ever stayed. Everything was so clean and neat. The price was very reasonable.
"Econo Lodge North Nashville - Decent for the night"
Nashville has a beautiful downtown, and the location of this Econo Lodge proved to be its biggest letdown. About 12 minutes driving from Broadway/2nd street in a mediocre neighborhood, I would opt to get a place closer to the action next time. For the price, I guess it is okay. Rooms were tidy, not too much noise outside, and breakfast was regular. […] Basically, as a one night stop motel on a highway on the way to a destination, this Econo Lodge would be adequate to satisfy one's needs, however if you are looking to spend a couple of days sightseeing in Nashville, and don't mind spending the extra money, stick with a hotel closer to Broadway. "Don't judge a book"
I was apprehensive about this motel because of the rating, but I can now tell you I am very happy with my stay! The room was very clean and comfortable. The refridgerator and microwave was a bonus. The television was a late model flat screen with surround sound. Everything worked, the bed was comfortable and I heard very little sound from adjoining […] rooms. I would stay again no doubt! "EconoLodge North Nashville TN"
The hotel was clean and well maintained. It is located around around 5 miles from downtown Nashville which takes around 15 minutes in a cab to reach. If you're looking for a value place to stay which offers the essentials, this could be the place for you.
"Good place for the price!"
This hotel is a good place for the price. However, it should be noted that it does not look new or well maintained. It has somewhat of an abandoned look to it. The breakfast bar happens to be in the same small lobby entrance where you check in. Therefore, it really requires you to bring your cereal, donuts, and coffee to your room if you are going to […] take advantage of their complimentary breakfast. But again, if price is the key ingredient to your search, this is the place. Lisez la suite

"Accomodations small but reasonable"
The rooms were somewhat small, but in line with the economical price. The pool was enjoyed by our kids.
"Resonable room for the price"
If you are looking for a place to sleep with no frills then you get a comfortable room to do just that. If you want extras then this isn't for you. For the price I paid I got a good deal. Also if you have small children (under 10), you may not be comfortable with the neighborhood as it looks like it may be an economically challenged area.
"Priced Right"
The hotel was clean and the location was convenient to many fast food places and the highway. The only complaint I had was the very noisy air conditioner. It was not quiet at all, but the good news was it did keep the room cool.
"Affordable"
Hotel staff were pleasant. The room was clean except for the floor. They vacuumed but the carpet needed shampooing and the bathroom floor needed washing. Odd smell of chlorine but this might have been from the pool. Convenient location. Close to gas station and fast food restaurants. Free parking at hotel. Save money downtown by parking in the lot at […] First Baptist Nashville--daily parking rate was low. Lisez la suite
"2nd stay worse than the first! :("
I stayed at this same hotel two weeks earlier on my trip to Southaven, MS. It was my return trip to Cincinnati, OH, so I stopped again. (Please note that I booked both stays at the same time weeks before my departure.) The woman who was working the front desk had children with her on both of my stays. They were riding their bikes all through the parking […] lots paying little attention to the cars trying to get around them. They were also out in front of my room for quite some time making a lot of noise. It was annoying, to say the least. My room had numerous bugs--one of which was apparently a mosquito because I was nearly eaten alive! The toilet ran off and on all night just as the one had done in the room I had before. The overhead vanity light had to be left on for about 30 minutes before the light actually turned on. (It was fluorescent.) The blow dryer stopped working half-way through drying my hair--just as the blow dryer had done in the room I stayed in before. The bed was nice and comfortable. The temperature of the room was able to be adjusted so that was nice. The bathroom appeared to be clean. I really liked that they had mounted dispensers for soap, lotion, body wash, shampoo, and conditioner as this cuts down on a lot of waste from hotels. The location was also ideal as it was about 1/4 mile from the highway. That being said, the neighborhood was pretty scary. Most of the stores/gas stations have bars over all their doors and windows. There was a homeless man sleeping under the awning at the nearby Sonic. There was another man randomly wandering the sidewalk who almost stepped into traffic. There were stray animals running all over the place!?! If you are just planning on staying at the hotel or getting food through drive-thru, I didn't find the neighborhood to be of too much concern. If you are looking for a fairly cheap stay, you might consider this place. But now you'll just know that the saying is true: "you get what you pay for". :) Lisez la suite
"Pet Owners Beware"
Hotels.com site says Pets Accepted. No mention of a $10 fee per animal per night charged when you check in. So much for a good deal on the room. Plus the king bed room I reserved was not provided, We were moved to a separate building for pet owners that had 2 double beds. Breakfast food was fair at best. Room was large, but sink faucet leaked non-stop. […] Otherwise our stay was fine. Lisez la suite
We enjoyed our stay it was nice and the people were friendly . I would stay there again . paying in advance was cheaper . The room was very decent.

"Inside the hotel = nice; Outside the hotel = scary"
I recently chose EconoLodge North due to its close proximity to the expressway. I was only staying one night because my trip was too far to travel all in one day. As I pulled in, I became VERY concerned. The outside of the building looked pretty shabby, and there were people (that looked a little suspicious) just hanging around outside. I go into the […] small front desk building (which gives it all a "motel" feel), and the front desk clerk is behind a window!?! As if that makes those checking in feel secure about your accommodations!!! Fortunately, the room was very nice and very clean. It was on the small side and my microwave didn't actually heat things, but it was still more than sufficient. I felt that one positive of the hotel was that they had wall-mounted dispensers for soap, lotion, body wash, shampoo, and conditioner. You don't get to take extra bottles home with you, but it does same a lot of trash from ending up in a landfill. Overall, this was a good stay, and I will be back in 2 weeks when my trip home begins. "Clean & Convenient"
Pros: Good size room, very clean, comfortable beds, price, within 3minutes of I65 Cons: Rough area to be out in at night on foot. Additional: Choice of a number of fast food stops within 1/2 mile. Gas station nearby. 10 minutes drive/cab from downtown Nashville

"Buyer Beware!!!"
First time @ this hotel, price was good but the room was below normal standards. The room had a stale smell, there was no hot water (it took a while for it to get luke warm, both when we arrived and in the morning). They heating unit in the room was already preset to come on and off automatically. I could not control the unit manually to come on or […] off when I wanted it too. The bathroom needs to be updated, seriously! The worst part was the 2 roaches crawling on the dresser top when we woke up, YUK! Had to check luggage to make sure not critters were going to be traveling with me. Lisez la suite
"Econo Lodge North Nashville - Good for the Price"
The room was good for the price. It included a microwave (although the defrost/cook knob was broken), a decent-sized mini fridge, a large CRT television with the HBO channel, an iron and ironing board, a table with two chairs, a single-drawer dresser and a king size bed. There was an outdoor pool, but it was closed while we were there. It only took […] about 10 minutes to drive to Opryland. There was a free breakfast, although it was very basic. The room was in pretty good shape, although it looked as though no one had dusted for a long time (cobwebs on the ceiling). There was also a place in the ceiling in our room that looked like access to an attic, which was a little strange. No frills, but for the price it wasn't bad. Lisez la suite

"econo lodge north/ nashville."
the hotel room was big and clean and everything was great. our only complain would be that it is in the ghetto and we were advised by quite a few people to be wary of being outside late at night. and it was kinda far from downtown. the ole opry is all shut down becuase of flooding, so unless you have a car or a reliable driver or a lot of taxi money, […] its not the best place to stay, which is a pity because everything else was fantastic! Lisez la suite
The Econo Lodge was actually just what I expected. I wasn't looking for anything fancy, just cheap. I only slept in the room and only for a few hours. I was mainly in town for a short visit to spend time with friends and was looking to save money. The hotel was clean. At no point did I feel like I had to keep my shoes on because the floor was too nasty […] or anything. I did not sleep well, but I think only partly because of the bed. The front desk staff was friendly, but again, I did not need much. I had no intentions of eating breakfast there, or even showering for that matter. Like I said, very short stay. I am usually kind of spoiled on hotels and prefer to stay at Marriots or Hiltons or others of that nature. But for another short stay, I would stay at this hotel again. In regards to location to downtown, I did not drive and we avoided the interstate due to a very large accident that had all lanes tied up. Lisez la suite
"if you are in nashville THIS IS the place to stay"
SO nice in everyway.... the cost was so reasonable, breakfast great, service brilliant, room spacious and the staff awesome IF YOU ARE IN NASHVILLE pick this hotel
"Purpose Fulfilled"
The hotel served its purpose although it could use some updating. The complimentary breakfast was not much but I'm not much of a breakfast person anyway. Overall, okay for the price.
