Amazing location! Right across from some good shopping and nice resturants! Not even a 5 min walk to the beach so it was awesome, when I go back to hawaii I will stay here again! :)

I was there for business. However, I was also there while APEC was there. HUGE traffic problems. That's not the hotel's fault nor is it something that happens all the time. Good things about the hotel: gym, convenience, hotel room size for price. Things that need improvement: PARKING PRICE. $30 a day is the highest I've come across. Ridiculous.

pros: location is great. interior is modern and new. front desk staff friendly. cons: thin walls you can hear next door talking on their cell. street noise to be expected. small rooms. small pool. no room service. for few nights it's great but not for long stays.

This Hotel was amazing! The service was great and the staff were so helpful and friendly all the time. The location is great, its a 2 minute walk to the beach and all the shops are within an easy walking distance as well as access to bus stops etc. The room was very spacious and clean. We had a view looking onto the main street with water 'glimspes', […] it was a bit noisy at night/early morning with music and sirens going past however this didn't really bother us. If you did want a quieter room I would request a room higher up (we were on floor 5), or a room out the back however there wouldn't be any views from here! This was the perfect place for us to stay and reasonably priced, we'd definately come back here for sure. Lisez la suite

I heard honolulu was busy like Los angeles, all the high end stores are a direct block for we felt certain guests are catered to, the pool was closed on us and my wife lost her very expensive watch because we were rushed out, so now i get to hear her cry for her watch cause there was a lot of meaning to it..... not to mention the breakfast was making […] us and other guests sick, I think its the grease, it felt like the onset of the flu, really tired and quezzy, headache, once i stopped eating breakfast and went to subway on the street behind I was good, theres too much money making on that island, Man and his Dirtymoney ruin the spirit of waikiki for me.....too many high rises if felt like vegas with beautiful beaches, and so many homeless, I fed one guy twice, Lisez la suite

Excellent location and good service. Partial ocean view is really partial. Only thing I did not like is that you had to pay USD15.00 for breakfast even if you only wanted a cup of coffee and toast.

Recently stayed for 7 nights Holiday Inn Beachcomber Waikiki - close to beach,markets & shops - nice clean rooms, friendly & helpful staff - would recommend.

This is a great hotel conveniently located in the middle of the Waikiki strip. For weary travelers on the way home from further afield in the USA, it is perfect!

When making the original reservation, I asked that my sister's family and i have rooms next to each other. When we arrived, it was discovered that we had booked rooms offered at different rates and we're on different floors.........the manager was most accommodating and gave us a room upgrade at no additional charge so we could have adjacent room! Excellent location and very nice room. Even though we didn't have a wonderful view, we did enjoy the peace and quiet of the room location. The amenities were great. Wi-Fi was included and extremely fast. The bathroom was a little small and would have preferred a full bathtub to soak in, but everything else in the room was nicely done. Definitely enjoy […] Jimmy Buffets / Margaritaville being located in the hotel. Anything you wanted to do in Waikiki was within walking distance, plus the free shuttle to the shopping mall was a plus. The staff was excellent and the room service was quick and pleasant. The hotel was clean and in a good location. If you are looking for luxury accommodations, this is not the place for you. No frills and the pool was small. Had a great stay at this hotel. Clean, comfortable rooms, great location, and excellent service. It may not be as glamorous as other neighboring hotels, but it's certainly great value for money.

Clean, spacious rooms, nice bathroom with European style hand-shower, pool, bar. Right on the main shopping street. and 5 min walk from the beach. Relatively cheap compared to others of the same level. Highly recommended.

Our stay was the night before our cruise ship departed. We were pleased with our room as it was clean and comfortable. Our room was quiet vs. our friends room who stayed at at another nearby hotel who complained of noise in the street. We had some trouble making the room card work the elevator but it was a minor problem. We reccomend this hotel.

Great location Friendly Staff However the pool are is quite dangerous when wet. The tiles in the pool are very slippery so hard to get a grip as my young grandson found out.Also the ground outside of the pool is extremely slippery when wet and should be attended to with some nnon slip paint . Otherwise I would gladley recommend this hotel.

This hotel exceeded my expectations from the moment I check in. I asked for a quiet room with hopefully an ocean view, and the staff cheerfully gave me top floor with ocean view. The room was nice, well furnished and in perfect condition. The air conditioning worked perfectly, there was a fridge, new flat screen TV, Hawaiian coffee and tea, with a great […] balcony and view. Anytome I called the front desk, the phone was answered first ring and any questions were immediately answered. Staff was great all-around, room was cleaned nicely daily, and after checking out, the hotel provided me with a hospitality room for showering after the beach, I would recommend this hotel to anyone, anytime. We stayed here post-cruise - I had booked the room several months in advance and one would have thought a better room would be given, however, our room looked out over a rooftop (1 floor beneath us) and couldn't open the sliding door for the noise of the roof top fans. The pool was very small and always crowded with youg children. Pre cruise we stayed […] at a hotel down the strip and it was far superior in size to this room for $4.00 more (it was a junior suite), hotel had larger poor and a graet view of Waikiki beach. My first visit to Waikiki. This was a much needed vacation for both my husband and me. The hotel was a perfect location to shopping, beach, attractions. Staff was very nice. Had a beautiful view of Diamond Head and the beach, as well as the main street. Restaurant was convenient and food good. Bars were nice, too! Would definitely stay here again!

Had concerns when I made the reservation due to the range of reviews, but was very pleased with the room, hotel and location after our 2 day pre cruise stay. Of coarse it's not on the beach (but only a short 2-3 min walk away), it's not a full oceanview( but the partial view was fine-watching surfers and boats from the balcony with a cocktail set the […] mood perfectly); but overall the facility, pool and restaurant were just fine. We were on the 7th floor, overlooking the main street and the pool below -fun watching the action and the noise was not a problem at all as some other reviews indicated. Also, very convenient! for shopping and going to the International Market with all it's shops, vendors and eating choices. I chose this hotel because we wanted a better room in a less expensive hotel and it delivered. Some people would go a cheaper room in a more expensive hotel but I think our way paid off. Keeping in mind that we were one street from the beach, we did have some other hotels in the way of our view, but that was fine for us and […] lets face it who goes to Hawaii to sit on the balcony of your room?? In the Ocean View Room we got a king size bed. Now we are from Australia and the king size was definately a king! The bed was really comfy. The pillows were I think feather, but of good quality. At home I sleep with a chiropractic pillow and the feather pillows of Holiday Inn were fine, I slept well. Prior to us choosing this hotel we checked reviews, now some reviews that we read stated that the noise from the street travelled up during the night and some people heard sirens all night long and loading trucks in the alley. This hotel has 25 floors. We were on the 15th floor. Now I am a VERY light sleeper and on the 15th floor I slept very well, which I was VERY happy with, lets face it if you don't sleep well you won't enjoy your holiday! I was not bothered by sirens or trucks or anything. As for location, you can't ask for more when paying what we did. The Holiday Inn room card gets you free travel on the pink trolley (which is a open air bus). The pink trolley will get you to the main shopping centre and it stops right across the road from the hotel. A short walk across the road and you are on Waikiki beach. Heaps of restraunts to chose from in short walking distance. The international marketplace is 50m to the left when you walk out the front of the hotel and is good for shopping. Everything is at your fingertips. Jimmy Buffets restraurant/bar has great service and will serve drinks and amazing nacho's to your table around the hotel's pool and spa. perfect for a staycation- enjoyed all of it. walked everywhere we went didnt need a car. 1 bad thing the parking is expensive, needed to find parking on the street.

I had unwittingly stayed at this hotel before, although it was under a different name and management. I thought I had chosen a different hotel and location given the name was Holiday Inn. Needless to say I previously found the hotel fairly basic, but on this occasion most surprised to find it updated and very comfortable. Hotel was great, room are good size, very clean, good location with many shops and food venues easily available. Rating overall will be excellent if parking is at lower cost, to be done by guest (not valet) Will recommend hotel only when you do NOT have a car, complimentary ' pink trolley service' provided will be very useful.

location was central to every thing. the room and bathroom were of good standard. We will use this hotel again for sure. The free pink trolley pass came in very handy. We had a none smoking room on the 7Th floor.Exxxxxelent.

The only thing that this hotel lacks is in-room food service.

Very convenient location and close to everything essential for the holiday

Moved from room 1605, right next to elevator. could hear elevator going up and down all night. Next room was 1807, Great view of Waikiki and Diamond head. Hotel is right across from Cheesecake factory restaurant. Great service from staff. I would recommend this hotel to others. Rooms were cleaned each day. I travel over 100,000 miles a year and stay in dozens of hotels. For the cost and service I highly recommend this hotel. I like the fact that I can have a partial ocean view without paying the cost for the hotels that are on the beach. I like the fact that I can walk across the street and in 3 minutes I am on the beach.

Great to use as a base for all excursions around Oahu. Parking is expensive but that is par for the course. Staff super friendly.

right in the heart of the action, shopping and beach! has an awesome pool deck that look out onto the main street

we would stay at beachcomber if we come again. very clean,nice decor,great location central location,nice to have restaurant in resort. escalator made easy access to second floor holel. having free trolley pass from resort was great.would look for that feature if we book another vacation .

The hotel is ok for the price but there are definitely better ones out there for less money. We experienced some minor issues with the shower drain, the loud toliet, and the remote that didn't seem to work. The drain didn't drain as it wouldn't stay open so you had to be creative when you took your shower. The remote didn't work at all and you had […] to get out of bed to change the channel which was an inconvenience. The toliet worked properly but sounded like it was going to die at any moment and was so loud I'm sure the whales in the ocean could've heard it! We paid for an oceanview and while we could see the ocean, it wasn't the view I expected. Another hotel sits in the line of sight so you really only see around the hotel. For one night it was fine, but I wouldn't stay here again and I wouldn't recommend it at all either. Definitely others in this area that are less expensive and give you a "better bang for your buck."
