J'ai été agréablement surprise de voir le parking de l'hôtel complet, ce qui augure d'une bonne réputation et donc d'un bon taux d'occupation de l'hôtel. La chambre était propre avec un lit king size très agréable. Par contre l'eau de la piscine n'était pas très propre quoique bourrée de chlore. Un autre hic: il a fallu chercher les fiches d'info pour […] la connection WiFi un peu partout pour enfin les trouver au-dessus de la TV. Préférable de les avoir sur la table. Hotel un peu bruyant, mais rien de catastrophique (quoiqu'en dise le guide Lonely Planet), clim assez bruyante et peu efficace, un peu vieillot mais propre, équipé d'un frigo mais pas de cafetière. Il y a un petit balcon. Mais il est bon marché.

Le tapis et la télévision sont vieux jeu. J'ai aussi trouvé un lézard dans la chambre... petit mais quand même présent. Autrement, le reste était bien.

Très bel accueil; propre, bien localisé et le déjeuner est très bien.

Great room, great price, and friendly and professional staff.

I was here for a short vacation. The people at the front desk was quite helpful and very friendly. The room was very roomy and comfortable. Location-wise, this is a great place, right next to the coast line and near many shops. Will definitely consider staying here in the future.

Great time good hotel

This hotel is not far from the airport. It is near a regular neighborhood supermarket, drugstore, fast food and many, MANY restaurants. It is also near several harbors from which sightseeing and snorkel trips embark. If you get back to the hotel late on a weekend night there might not be any parking available but you can also walk to many things so […] you can plan for this. The internet in the rooms is a little pricey and the Wi-Fi signal strength is almost non-existent in many of the rooms. But there is free internet in the lobby with good signal strength and bandwidth. The room and bathroom size were also quite comfortable/largish (we stayed in the main building up front). As in many hotels the shower head is only standard height (i.e. low for someone 6' tall). We would stay there again without hesitation. Lisez la suite

Very nice place to stay for a beach visit.

I loved everything about this Motel except the parking which is very cramped when they are full. Seems there were a lot of big trucks that tend to take up more than the average space so you have to be very careful. Everything else was great and I would definitely stay there again.

Very convenient location, almost opposite wharf for cruises, close to stops for tram and Hele-On bus, many restaurants nearby, and shops within walking distance. Preferable to southern end of Kailua where many upmarket hotels are. As with all three "Seaside" hotels, w-ifi is only in the lobby, and local/toll-free calls are 50c. No restaurant on-site, […] but breakast is served at adjacent "Tantes" which also does decent lunch & dinner. Several options available for all-inclusive breakfast, including healthy choice. This hotel is decent and a great deal. Excellent location. Super friendly front desk staff - especially Ku''ulei. For the price, I think it's a great deal and everything was clean. It's not luxury but if you're just looking for a great place to stay, Hawaiian owned, and good value for the money, this place works. The breakfast is good as well. Very decent price for quality of hotel. I'd stay there again.

We had a top floor, mountain, ocean view room in the tower, with the best view of Kona Village! It included a free hot breakfast at Tante's right on the waterfront. The hotel could stand some updating, but overall, for the price, you can't beat it! Great location in Kailua, within walking distance of many shops and restaurants. Wal-Mart on top of hill within driving distance. Parking is $5 a day. There is a pay service for wireless internet, but I found an unprotected network nearby "Quilt." Recommended.

We loved this little hotel! Quaint and clean, clean, clean. The location was awesome! The view from the garden side in the tower was beautiful! Nothing fancy but very, very clean. Park in the free parking, it's just a short walk and the parking spaces are wider. The free breakfast at Tante's was delicious! I would definitely stay here again!

Hotel is close to restaurants and Night Life. Within walking distance to activities. However, very loud surrondings, noisy most times of the day.

Friendly staff, clean hotel and grounds plus it's walking distance to the brewery and all the shops along the pier. The only drawback was the weird pool hours; still, not a big deal since great beaches are a short drive away.

The hotel is convenient to everything, which was the main purpose in selecting it. The hotel lobby, grounds, and rooms are basic, but the price is right, and the included breakfast at a nearby restaurant was a nice touch. The front desk staff could benefit from some customer service training. They were very brusque during check-in. I needed to print […] two pages using a computer in the lobby. (tickets for a dinner that evening) When I asked about printing, the young woman at the desk informed me that would not be permitted, as she could only print boarding passes, and told me I would need to go to the public library if I wanted to print. (But she couldn't give me directions to the library). After asking the desk clerk 3 times for a manager, she finally went and got her. The manager came out of her office and allowed me to forward an email to her and she printed the pages in her office. I appreciate the manager's assistance, but it sure seems the desk clerks should have the authority, and the willingness, to assist with such a simple request. Lisez la suite

The price is affortable and it is in a good location. Convinient to the tourist area.

The real kailua is the locally owned , not a multinational owned and governed from far away..... The guest should carry his own bags , however there will be maitinance staff for those who carry massive bagggage..... and need help..... Tanti's restaraunt is very well looked after and staff is very understanding of your wants...... Local , and Phillipino […] food is great..... and really good prices... 2 swim pools are clean and safe....and there is good security always present even though there is no need..... The locals are really good people and there is no need to be wary of the unknown that occurs in many other countries..... I am very fond of this venue.. Lisez la suite

I had to make a last minute, for pleasure trip to the Big Island. I live on Oahu. When I heard that my long-time from friend was visiting, I made a quick trip to Kona, Big Island, Hawaii. I checked with other hotels, but the Seaside Kona was the best-priced hotel for what I needed, i.e., a clean, affordable room for 2 nites. The room was clean, the […] service was very friendly. This hotel and its sister hotel, Kilo Seaside, were comfortable, clean, and convenient to everything we wanted to see and do. Although parts of the hotel are older, it has been updated and is lovely. Each time you look out a window the landscaping is a reminder you are in beautiful Hawaii! The staff and adjacent restaurants were also exceptional.

Unfortunately i Could Check in 35 minutes late around 3;35 PM Customer Service personel were unable to Get the room ready by Check in time. Though some people who showed up later tah me were given rooms earlier than me. Break fast Servers were not Courtious at all. Customer Service desk personel need some Training and orientation to look unbiased.

Booked the room with hotels.com while over in Hilo (the other side of the island). Booked a king, got a double. Free parking, but when we arrived we had to park over a block away in public parkingdure to all parking permits used up. Pool suppose to be open 9 AM to midnight. The hotel staff were very hospitable. The room was standard and we shared it with sugar ants (tiny) in the bathroom-but it is the tropics. We were close to tourist areas on Alii Drive. It was one of the lower priced hotels in the area-so don't expect "Hilton" amenities. If we stayed here again we would skip the "included" breakfasts and shop around […] as there is alot of variety in the area and Tante's cafe only gave motel guests 3 choices, only one had fresh fruit-1/2 a papaya-come on we're in Hawaii !! The room is very old and out dated. I didn't get much sleep due to the noise of other guests and street in front. At approx 1:00am, it sounded like someone was trying to kick in my door but then realized the noise was coming from down the hall. They have limited parking on site which you have to get thier early to get a permit. I ended up having to […] park in a parking lot a block away. When we checked in we received vouchers for breakfast. Very nice! The problem was that when we asked the clerk the next morning where to go for breakfast, she gave us the name of another restaurant! Pretty poor.

A little (or maybe a lot) dated, but still comfortable. My main drawback of staying here was that I needed broadband wifi. Wireless was available - for a price - and then proceeded to drop out every 5 minutes for about 5 minutes.

Overall for what I needed a room for this is a great location. If you are looking for a room to support TRI Training this is a great location.

Location is very close to the beach, the price is good, the negative aspect is traffic noise. You have to pay parking.

The room was basic but clean. The front desk staff referred us to the hotel across the street for help with figuring out activities. They either didn't know, or didn't want to help. The internet was free, with a 2 hour valid code, in the hotel lobby, but you had to pay if you wanted it in your room. Parking was pay parking, and often no parking available. Comfortable, convenient, very friendly staff. A good value. We always stay here when we want to extend our vacation by a few days. A little noisy on the street side, but nothing we couldn't sleep through!! We'll be back!

Wonderful location in downtown Kona. Very modest but clean. Staff was helpful. The breakfast included was very good. Room was quite noisy from street traffic--squealing tires and engines. When we asked upon checkout how we could have gotten a quiet room, we were told that we would have had to make a "deluxe" reservation--which we had--but for some reason […] they didn't place us on the quiet side. We used this hotel before and again after our time share in Kona. Taking everything into consideration, we were happy to return for the second visit.

Best value for very clean hotel in one of the best location in kona.

Was very nice and staff was friendly and helpful. Will staff there again. Was walking distance to ocean, shops, and restaurants. Was very happy!
