Hotel trés bien entretenu, chambre bien décorée, petit déjeuné copieux . Je reviendrais volontier dans cette hotel.
Situation
Près de la plage, au cœur de Chicago, l'établissement Hotel 71 se trouve tout près de Michigan Avenue Bridge, Millennium Park et Art Institute of Chicago. Chicago Theater et Goodman Theater se trouvent également à proximité.
Caractéristiques de l'établissement

"Une vue fantastique, une situation idéale"
Demander une chambre du côté de la rivière, de préférence à distance de l'ascenseur. La vue est impressionnante sur les gratte-ciel qui bordent la rivière, car l'hôtel est dans un coude du cours d'eau et se trouve exactement dans son axe. Rien à dire sur la qualité du service et la propreté des chambres. Hôtel dans le centre de Chicago, très bien situe pour visiter la ville a pied. Chambre spacieuse. Le petit déjeuner est plutôt cher mais il y a des delicatessen moins chers juste a cote. Seul point négatif: l'air dans les chambres est très sec, et les fenêtres ne s'ouvrent pas.

Pour l'instant les chambres sont vieillottes, mais elles sont en cours de rénovation. Un peu de café dans la chambre, pas de thé, pas de lait pour le café pas de frigo pas de coffre pas de sèche cheveu Bref on a un lit, une salle de bain basique un bureau. Seuls les deux fauteuils sont bien. Don c le confort est un peu léger pour le prix. La restauration […] est pas mal. "A surprising diamond in the rough"
I was quite surprised with the quality of this property considering the price I paid. It was at least a hundred dollars less per night that hotels just a few blocks away. The room was a good size and the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom is extra large, which I like, and very clean. This is an upscale hotel for a mid-level (aka Marriott) price. […] Free Internet access is a plus. The front desk was very friendly and helpful. I flew in on the redeye from the West Coast and arrived there at 6AM and they let me check in so I could take a nap before my meetings! The property is within walking distance of many tourist sites as well as the subway to go farther. I walked to Millennium Park and the Art Museum and took the subway to see the White Sox play (it was April and it was freezing, so bring a jacket!). I didn't go to the bar or the restaurant, so I can't comment on those. I would definitely stay there again if I ever travel to Chicago in the future. Lisez la suite

"Excellent Location: Perfect for Visiting Chicago"
The hotel was perfectly located in the middle of everything. Near boat tours, near the parks, near the loop and magnificent mile. Close to the public transportation which made it easy to get to both Wrigley Field and the United Center. Great view and best fitness center I've seen in any hotel in a very long time.

"Good for the business traveler"
I'm a regular traveller to Chicago, but this was my first stay at Hotel 71. The hotel is nice and modern. The front desk staff was friendly. And, the room was comfortable and larger than I expected. I had a river view room, which gave me a great view down the Chicago River. Best of all, the room had a flat-screen tv and free wifi - two rarities for […] hotels in the Loop. My only complaints - the bed and the pillows were too soft for my liking. Of course, I haven't yet found a hotel in Chicago with firm pillows, so I shouldn't be surprised. "easy access to all places of interest and shopping"
Unfortunately the hotel had a few problems while we were there but staff did not notify us of this . The rooms were excellent very comfortable and clean. Bar and restaurant were very noisy with limited menu. Hotel ideally situated both for sight seeing and for shopping. Would stay there again.

The room was just beautiful, everything was clean and the service was amazing. Definitely recommend staying at Hotel 71, it is right in the centre of everything.
Overall the rooms were fine, but I was very disappointed in the service of the hotel staff and lack of maintenance upkeep. I will most likely never stay at this hotel again.

We LOVED our room and our stay here at Hotel 71. The staff was very friendly and we got an upgrade from our regular king size room to a river view. Amazing view of the Chicago River and Trump Tower across the street. The bed was really comfortable and the bathroom was awesome. there was a standing shower stall in our bathroom with a rainfall shower […] head in it. It felt like we were at a spa! We definitely took more showers than we needed to just because the shower was so nice! There was even a TV in the bathroom and it was nice and spacious in there. Another great thing about the bathroom was it had a dimmer switch for the lights in there. What was amazing about this was that my early morning trip to the bathroom didn't end up blinding me when I turned on the light. I just turned it on just enough to see where I was going and then was able to hop back into bed without a problem. We only stayed one night so we didn't encounter the housekeeping staff at all. Our room was clean and modern, so no complaints there at all. Valet parking was quick and easy and the hotel was located close to everything we came into the city for. For the price and location, we'd definitely stay at Hotel 71 again. Lisez la suite
"Convenient location and reasonably priced"
Hotel 71 is conveniently located at the heart of downtown Chicago and is close to most if not all major attractions. Metro/Matra/bus and tour tram stops are within walking distance. Their staff is very friendly and they upgraded us from a city view with one king bed room to a river view with two queen beds room on higher floors with no extra charge. […] All we had to do was ask. Happened upon this hotel on the Internet. Loved the view it showed looking down the river. Be sure to specify you want a river view room! Overall stay was FANTASTIC! The rooms were available prior to regular check-in time and were very clean and spacious. Hotel staff was friendly and helpful. Will definitely stay here again and recommend this hotel to family and friends.

I go to Chicago often, and this was by far my favorite hotel! Excellent location, great price, stellar experience! I have already recommended it to friends going soon, and I doubt I will ever stay anywhere else!

I'd rather stay on the other side of the Chicago River by the shops and restaurants especially with a family. There weren’t really and really close places to eat. Vending machines would have been a plus. The toilet was annoying as you had to hold down the handle in order to flush and the shower would NOT drain. Overall the hotel was nice but I'd probably […] try something different in the future. I picked it because it said family friendly but I don't think it was family friendly at all. "Conference Trip"
I choose this hotel because it was close to a conference I was attending and it was an excellent choice. The room was modern and clean with a decent city view. It was quiet with plenty of space and my only minor complaint dealt with the lack of HD on the television but that is an easy fix. Overall the hotel was very nice. The only problem we had was with noise on 2 nights. Our neighboring room was very very noisy. the first night we didn't complain, but the second night there the noise got pretty bad. Hotel 71 was a great hotel. But Hotel.com should include parking charges for the hotels they show on their website. Parking was was very expensive! If I would have know how much it would cost per day I may have chosen another hotel in a vicinity were parking was readily available outside of the hotel (parking garage).

For the most we enjoyed our stay but walls are very thin. You could hear every little sound in the hallways. I had requested a microwave one morning but it took a long time to bring it. I had to make a second request. As soon as i plugged it in to use it must have blew a fuse i had no electricty at all. Called front desk and waited for an hour still […] no one showed up so we left. I can't say enough nice things about a recent business stay at this hotel. The service was excellent. The front desk staff deserves extra kudos for a) locating a replacement projector for our presentation on next to no notice and b) recommending a great steakhouse within walking distance and snagging us a reservation, again, on next to no notice .
