im sorry to say after waking up, we discovered bed bugs... when we got home we had to leave everything in the garage and wash all of our stuff in scalding hot water. it was a bummer!!!!!!!!!!

While I didn't have very high hopes for the Travel Lodge in Sandusky,Ohio what we found was so much worse than what I could have ever imagined!! From the moment we arrived, to the moment we left, it was pure torture to have to stay in such a disgusting excuse for a hotel. The sheets were dirty, the "mini fridge and microwave" were probably 30 years […] old and just flat out dirty, and the towels provided were a poor excuse for any sort of linen. Honestly the only thing that I can say was clean and kept up was the shower and well thats not exactly the hardest thing to keep clean. Lets move on to our overall customer satifaction though! We pre payed so we were pretty much stuck which seemed to be okay the first night, it was relatively quiet and we slept fine. The second night however was anything but quiet!!! Around 2am the domestic dispute started outside of our window and that proceeded to continue for about an hour and half. Finally they decided to move on and we thought okay the worst has got to be over! We were soo wrong! Our next door neighbors then decided to have party and while my boyfriend and I are both in our 20's and don't mind a little noise, this was so far beyond "a little" noise. We both knew calling the front desk was a waste of time because they were utterly incapable of doing anything but finally it just had to be done. Nothing happened ofcourse and it was now 4:00 in the morning. As a last resort we called the police and finally after they stopped by the noise stopped. It was the most hellish night we have had in a while! Take it from someone that works in the hospitality industry, this is NOT the place to stay. I would not wish this hotel upon my worst enemy and definately not on someone who just wants to have a fun day at Cedar Point like we did!! Lisez la suite

Hotel was dirty - sheets were not clean, shower curtain had soap scum all over it, and my towel had this giant marked X on it (as well as orange stains)!

Very nice, clean, and reasonably priced. Convenient location to Cedar Point. Would stay there again!!

Just a basic hotel. No frills. Was okay because we just needed somewhere to sleep for the night. The room and hotel were in decent condition. No complaints. Good price.

This hotel was not that bad, but I would have expected more from a travelodge hotel. The room was not that clean, and service was not that great. Would not stay here again.

The hotel was clean, and very convenient to food & shops. Beds were hard, but was ok for an overnight stay. I would stay at this hotel again.

I understand when you book a cheaper hotel you will not get all the ammenities of a five star resort but money is money and I do expect a certain amount of clenliness and customer service. When we turned down the bed our sheets had a HUGE brown greasy spot all over the sheets with "hair" stuck to it.....so gross......when we asked for clean sheets she […] offered us another room, when we went to the other room it was hotter then Haiti and filled with spiders all inside the room, our 7 year old was freakin out an I knew she wouldnt be able to get a good nite rest worrying what may be crawling on her thru the nite so we went with our original room.....There was also no shower curtain on our shower rod, no toilet paper in our room and ants crawling thru the ceiling towels....We decided last minute to stay another nite and def were not staying there again. My girlfriend and I decided to take a trip to Cedar Point but I didn't have quite enough money for the best hotel so we stayed at the Travelodge. Overall it was a cheap place to stay the night and did not risk our saftey or our health. No drug dealers, prostitutes, etc in area. No bed bugs. The toilet clogged up and the bed was uncomfortable. No thermostate […] on the air conditioner. Windows would not open. Very cheap towels. Would not recommend for families. We heard rough sex both nights. Lisez la suite

We only had reservations for one night so we could get an early start at Cedar Point. Other than noticing that the vacuuming in the halls/rooms was probably not done, the rooms were relatively clean. TV remote didn't work and there were no refrigerators. Other than the entire place needing an upgrade, it was a good option for an inexpensive place to […] crash for the night. It was the cheapest deal with hotels.com , so I can't complain there. The Beds were HARD, and the overall cleaniess was average, but We only needed a place to Shower and Lay our heads. We actually enjoyed the Pool too! :) I would recommened to others going to Cedar Point and only needing a place to lay your head for the night! :)

We try to stay there as often as we visit Cedar Point.

For the price we paid you couldn't expect too much. We just needed a place to clean up and sleep so it met our needs. Had an issue with house cleaning the first night but it was quickly resolved.

A nice, low cost way to spend a night while in Sandusky, clean room, a little breakfast in the morning, not much but more than other cheap stays, nice front desk service. Only complaint....rough towels, still I'd stay again.

When you book the cheaper hotel, you should not expect the condition to match the higher end of the price range accomidations! The room was larger then normal and the location was perfect for us! Cedar Point all day and then checked in around 11:30pm. Found local attractions after our 11:00am check-out. The ONLY negatives that we had were that the bedding […] felt like it was washed and put on the bed without being completely dry. It WAS clean! The room could use a coat of paint, but like i said, i didnt pick this room expecting a new hotel! A POSITIVE was our surprise that there was a jacuzzi tub in our room!!!! This hotel was overpriced for the conditions of the room. The first room we were given had not yet been cleaned. When we were shown to the second room of our stay, it had been cleaned, but was missing one of the quilt covers from the room. My friends and I had two rooms at the travel lodge in Sandusky, Oh. We arrived around 1 am hopIng to be able to sleep as soon as we got there. One of the rooms toilet was clogged an the door was open. The other room had dirty towels everywhere, food still on the table, a bed unmade, and stuff still in the shower. We did not have a very good experience. The first night there were people running around screaming and making a lot of noise until 1:30 - 2:00 in the morning. The second night we ended up calling the police because it was the same thing and the hotel clerk would do nothing about it. The rooms smelled very musty and not one ice machine worked.

For the money we paid for the weekend this hotel was a great deal. Yes I will stay there again if I have a group of 4 or more. The quality of the hotel is not up to the standards of most Travel Lodge hotels that I have stayed in. But this was a weekend of going to the park and seeing the sights. When we first walked into the room it smelled like mildew ,I don't know if it was the air conditioner or the carpet but it was real BAD my friends room next door smelled the same way. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone .

Clean and comfortable. Breakfast was very basic. Pool was okay. would recommend for a cheap overnight stay.

It would have been better if the maids actually did their jobs correctly. Also the breakfast should have been more. The entire time we were there our floors were only partially swept. We didn't have an ice bucket and were left big towelless a couple of times. Overall the people at the desk were friendly & helpful

WE were very disappointed in the condition of the hotel. The smell was bad and the condition of the hotel was not someplace we wanted to spend the night. We ended up driving home at ten o'clock at night with three very tired children .

THE ADD ADVERTISES MICROWAVE, REFRIGERATOR, & NON SMOKING IN WHICH I RECEIVED NONE OF THESE.

Well, we booked this to be close to the park and not spend a lot of money. That is all that this hotel has to offer. It smells bad, the rooms are VERY old, not all that clean, and there is very little parking

first nite found a quitip in are bed also the other bed fround a lighter in the blankets also the next day the maid didnt evan clean are room both of them

I get that this was the cheapest hotel in the area but I have stayed in MUCH better 2 star hotels that are actually CLEAN! Dead bugs stuck on all the spiderwebs and a centipede on a light INSIDE the room. I did take my own sheets and was very glad I did...there's no way I would have slept on their sheets. Room was ok, clean, however, wifi service was not working, and I had laptop computer battery charger cable stolen from wall socket it was plugged into while out of room, not happy with service

Clean room for a cheap price. Hotel is dated with an outdoor pool, but overall was comfortable and clean, if you just need a place to sleep for the night. Hotel was quiet

I must say, for the rate that I paid, I got a good deal. Just my son and I spending a couple days at Cedar Point. The staff was nice. The room was clean. Plenty to eat within blocks of the hotel, and about 5 miles from the park. Will definately check in again if Im up that way.

No problems except the WiFi was out my entire stay. The price was great. The room and pool were clean. The A/C in the room worked well. Water pressure in the shower was a little on the low side. For what I paid, I'll be back next year, but hopefully with WiFi.

If you are looking for an overnight stay, this will do. The linens are clean, the bed very firm and a TV. The breakfast however was very minimal and the coffee bar needs to be attended a little more frequently. The coffee was very strong.

It was a bit humid,and the carpets could use cleaning,but at that price I can't complain.Will be using this hotel again.Great internet and TV.....lots of hot water and even a continental breakfast which was a bit sparse,but as I said,can't complain at that price.

Horrible! Smelled awful, we had 2 rooms and they both smelled terrible. The carpet was stained everywhere. The bed was so uncomfortable we couldn't get any sleep.

the towels were the feel of sand paper. these were the worse of all the hotels i stay in. you could sand wood with the towels. No cereal or a toaster for the morning breakfast. plus ran out of sweet rolls this was at 6:30am. the mirrors were so dirty & plus the toilet.

There were bugs everywhere. In the bed, shower and sink. It was obviously not clean. Stains on the pillow. We went to Target down the road for new sheets that actually FIT the bed. Not worth the savings!

I reserved a room here because they advertised in room refridgerators and microwaves. That was a lie. They had wi-fi but not in the rooms. You had to go to the lobby. Overall a major disappointment.

It has been a long time since the rug in the room has been vacumed. It was dirty when we arrived and still dirty when we left. Pulled cover back on bed and sheets hadn't been changed they were dirty. The only thing housekeeping did to our room while we were there was make bed and took dirty towels, did not leave us any clean ones, so when we got back […] to room late that night had to go to front desk to get clean towels. Breakfast was supposed to start at 6am at 7am still no breakfast unable to find any staff in main foyer for 15minutes. Finally staff member showed up stated he overslept, but his shift was actually ending at 7am so he must have been sleeping while he was on duty. He did apologize and get breakfast going. Would not recomend pay a few extra dollars and get clean room and hotel that has staff that is awake while on duty! Lisez la suite

The room was great for the price and I will definitely book a room there again in the future. My only complaint was having to drive around for 5 minutes to find a parking spot, other than that I had no troubles and the room was clean and not too small. Good experience at a great price.
