Malgre son emplacement, qui peut etre considere comme trop loin du centre de Los Angeles, le service est bon et les chambres correctes. La piscine est tres bien entretenue.

Hôtel très bien situé pour nos centres d'intérêts, dans un quartier relativement calme (mis à part les quelques "pilotes" sur les boulevards durant la nuit). Les plus : personnel très pro, chambres bien équipées, petit déjeuner complet (faut juste éviter d'arriver aux heures de pointes sous peine de devoir attendre son tour, mais un canapé confortable rend l'attente agréable). Les moins : isolation sonore faible, pommeau de douche assez bas, pas de clim automatique. On y retournera sans hésiter !

hôtel très bien situé - à 10 mn à pied de Disneyland - avec des commerces et de quoi se restaurer - malgré des travaux en cours (changement d'enseigne vers INDIGO), n'avons pas été incommodés - personnel serviable - formule du petit déjeuner inclus très pratique lorsqu'on voyage avec des enfants

Très bon hôtel !! Mais attention parking payant !!! Et nul part ou se garer en dehors de l'hôtel je crois que le prix était entre 15 et 20 dollar par jour !! C'est le seule point négatif mise à part qu'il n'y a pas de prise européen donc n'oublier pas dacheter un adaptateur en France car galère à trouver à L.A.

nice hotel but right next to the local airport ! the airplanes start at 7 am and end at 11 pm !

Wedding was held at the hotel and was very loud at night and the following morning was very crowded for the breakfast. The food for the free breakfast was actually really good!

Everything about this hotel was just great. Our room was comfortable and large, and the breakfast that was included in the price was delicious. The only complaint is that since our room was overlooking a courtyard, it was quite loud during the night. I stayed here for a night with the gal after roaming around coasta mesa during much of the day. The hotel was very clean and theme around the lobby, to the outside eating area, and restaurant was all nice. Definetely will look into again if I need to stay near John Wayne Airport

"Great deal, only con was breakfast buffet"
I hate reading reviews where the reviewer has one lame bone to pick. That's why I'm giving the Ayres 4 stars, because it was 4 stars especially given the great deal I got. The pool and spa looked good (didn't go in, too cold outside when I was there). The surrounding neighborhood wasn't great --nothing to walk to -- but pretty typical for inland OC. My […] only problem was with the breakfast buffet. It looked great. Unfortunately I couldn't really enjoy it. There were little kids running around everywhere and I was not feeling great, so I asked for a container to take some food to my room. I was told I could not do that. I pointed out that I had seen some other people leaving with "to-go" containers, and I was told again that they don't allow food to leave the restaurant. I ate what I could manage and grabbed some coffee to go. This was also annoying because they police the door (each registered guest can only enter the restaurant once). I thought I had registered my boyfriend (he signed in when I registered), but I guess in the hotels.com app it had inputted only one guest, so I barely ate, and he was denied. "Excellent!"
Excellent hotel. Not a 5 star, but they try very very hard to make it seem that way. They work hard to ensure everything is top notch. Would fully recommend it. The breakfast is "ok" for free breakfast, after 5 days of eating the same thing, you may want to have something different as well.

We loved this hotel. The rooms were clean, large and comfortable. The staff was great and the breakfast was very good. My husband couldn't stop talking about how much he liked it. We are planning to stay at the Ayers again this summer.

We stayed only one night with our friends for New Years Eve. The front desk employees are very nice and took very good care of us. The waiters in the breakfast room are great, the service was very good. The bed was very comfortable, the room was clean, and lots of room to walk around and visit with our friends. We loved having the wetbar in couch, extra […] chairs etc.. in our room. The shuttle service was great, the driver drove us right to the front door at Scotts Bar and Grill for dinner. "Ayres Hotel - Convenient to John Wayne Airport"
We stayed here as our final night because of the proximity to John Wayne and the free shuttle service. Also, we got a good sale price on Hotels.com. The restaurant is very good (we had dinner there) and the free breakfast offered a wide selection (pancakes, bacon, eggs, cereal, muffins, fruit). The staff members were all very friendly and helpful.
"Best value for money"
We had quick stop near Newport Beach to meet up with friends. Price was a great therefore I booked it. I don't know other branch of Ayres but this one in Newport Beach was a great stay. Breakfast, comfortness, clean and many others. It was near by airport so it was bit noisy other than that. 5 starts.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay - even if the decor was a bit fussy for our taste. The comfort level was there, though. Free breakfast was the best of any hotel I've stayed in. "Outstanding hotel experience"
The Ayres in Newport is going to be our new Orange County home away from home. The dinners were outstanding -- we ate there 2 nights in a row. You can't do any better!!!

This is a very clean, comfortable hotel. The room was well appointed with a good bed and new furnishings. The breakfast was also very good. The only negatives are the parking (spaces too narrow) and no easy access to rooms at the back of the hotel (you must come through the front of the hotel to access all rooms).

When we turned down the sheets to go to bed, there were blood stains on the bed. The next morning we informed the cleaning service and requested new sheets. When we returned that night, the same sheets were still on the bed. The tile floor was also very sticky. We asked them to clean it. After they cleaned it, it was still sticky. A great room and breakfast for a resonsable price, but best of all was front desk customer service which was heads and shoulders above most hotels today. "dont stay on a saturday!"
I stayed on a saturday when there was a wedding with music blaring and people yelling outside my window until 11pm. My kids could not sleep, I could not sleep! It was awful and no one offered my money back and I was too tired to drive that late to leave. AWFUL experience, would NEVER go back.

We try to stay at this hotel whenever we visit our daughter in Newport Beach. It is close to the airport, but not too close. Even though flights do go over the hotel, it is limited to specific hours during the day. When we checked in this time, we were pleasantly surprised when we arrived that we were upgraded from our Jr. Suite to a one bedroom suite […] no extra charge. Love the decor and style of the hotel, very classical and reminiscent of the 1920-1930's with modern conveniences, great service and unique gift shop.
