Diamond Head Inn - San Diego

Hotel à deux pas de la plage. Chambre très agréable, avec cuisine et soin repas, grande salle de bain et belle chambre. Dommage que le wifi soit payant. Cet hotel possède un excellent rapport prix/prestations/emplacement.

Hôtel très proche de la plage par contre aucune vue sur la Mer . Pas de petit déjeuner sauf à l' accueil de l' hôtel possibilité de prendre un café + une viennoiserie très froide debout . Rapport qualité Prix très médiocre avec une chambre très peu lumineuse Hôtel décevant dans son ensemble sauf pour la proximité des plages à 50 mètres

Un peu bruyant pour les chambres donnant sur le patio. Difficile de se garer le samedi soir. L'accès à la piscine de l’hôtel voisin est génial. Situation de l'hôtel : parfaite

Très bonne situation par rapport aux centres d'intérêt. Accès direct aux chambres depuis la rue. Grande cuisine, grande télé avec une quarantaine de chaînes. Propre. Confortable sans être guindé. Diamond Head Inn, old but nice for the price. Good sized room, small kitchen, good neighborhood restaurants and grocery. close to beach, partial ocean view. Very nice staff. Terrible limited parking

Loved my hotel and location. My only complaint is with it being an old hotel the walls were too thin. You can hear everything. But the room was big, very convenient kitchen and nook, and fabulous location. No elevator so must be ok w/ stairs. I liked it since I was eating out every night. Girls in the office were super nice and weren't fake. I walked […] a four block radias every night and I am a girl alone. Felt comfortable the whole time. Even the homeless were pleasant. we were a bit anxious because of some of the reviews that we previously read...but were so very satisfied with just about everything..prompt and great service..accessible to many area interests..would recommend to everyone and would return ourselves the next chance we would have to visit san diego

It is close to the beach, the price was right and the staff were very friendly & helpful. Would recommend it to anyone.

So having read all the TripAdvisor reviews - we were looking forward to our 6 days at the Diamond Head Inn. Ok, some some reviews were extremely negative - but most were very positive. There lies the issue. Don't believe all you read!! We booked into the small untidy office and collected the room key. As soon as we entered the room (110), we were in […] total darkness and no light switch. After opening the blinds and turning on all the sidelights (this was at 3pm), it became obvious why dark would have been better. The carpet was badly stained in several places, pillows were off white with stains, walls had shoe scuffs on them and the chair was badly stained. It's at this stage you look deeper. The vertical wall radiators were filthy with dust/dirt/grime on every element and the place just felt dirty. Even the wall picture above the bed was broken. The back door opens out to a very dubious rear footpath and the rear windows have no security on them at all. Rear door just has a standard lock on it. Kitchen utensils can be counted on one hand. We asked to see another room, that was even smaller though marginally less stained - with the staff being entirely indifferent to our issues with filth and staining. Time to call Hotels.com for a full refund and get the hell out of the dump. I read a lot about the wonderful staff offering up a valuable car parking space. But lets figure this one out. The Hotel only has 4 spaces allocated to it - when it has 21 rooms. The Manager thinks its ok to suggest having to use parking facilities several blocks away - and yet reviewers have thanked staff for moving their cars to allow them to park????? So you think Diamond Head is cheap? Think again. You have to pay $7.95 a day for internet and will probably have to park several blocks away. We got a reservation at the Dana om Missionary Bay for the SAME price as the Diamond Head. If you have already booked or are still going to book - CHECK THE ROOM OUT FIRST. This is a good value in terms of location, ocean view, spacious deck for the money (including modest upgrade fee for the two ocean facing rooms on the property). Toilet was stopped up when we arrived, but was promptly fixed. The office staff was very friendly and responsive. Shower head was clogged and needed replacement. Bed was tired and in need of […] replacement. It wouldn't take much in terms of owner tlc to make this a great venue at a very reasonable cost. Parking is catch as catch can. Lisez la suite

We have stayed at this particular hotel several times since 1980. We really like the proximity to the beach, restaurants, etc. It is one of those places where you can park your vehicle upon arrival and not drive again until ready to go home if you want. We thoroughly enjoyed the beach-ocean being right outside our door. The room was very clean. There […] were a few little minor repairs that needed to be done, but nothing major. I would and have recommended this hotel several different times and I would stay again. We consider the rates reasonable compared to other hotels along the boardwalk. Hotel looked to be an old apartment complex turned into hotel. It was a very quaint little place with kitchenette and nice space inside the room. Note: If you want to be comfortable I recommend two things.... First--bring your own pillows as the ones at the hotel are all flat and hard as a rock, it was like sleeping on concrete blocks. I even asked […] for two extra pillows and they were the same as the ones we already had. I woke up every morning with a stiff neck. Secondly, reserve a room on the second floor. We spend two nights with a toddler running from one end of the room to the other. Inconsiderate parents didn't make it stop!! Overall, I would say that I enjoyed my stay at the Diamond Head Inn. The price was very reasonable for being right on the beach. It was incredibly clean and the staff was friendly and made every effort to make us comfortable. The wall heater stopped working on the first night, but the wonderful staff was efficient and timely in making necessary accommodations. I would highly recommend this Hotel to friends and family! It was nice to be right on the beach, but for the price the rooms were not in good condition at all. Maids are loud and talk loud and left their garbage and carts all around the hallways. We had to dodge their stuff everytime we came back or left our room. So annoying. So overall crappy place, but its ok if you're out on the beach or walking to bars […] and stuff, and not hanging out in a room. Lisez la suite

I was traveling alone for my first time so safety was a concern for me. I felt very safe in this hotel. This was one of the cheapest hotels that is located right on the beach so I was concerned about the condition of the rooms and hotel. I was pleasantly surprised! The room was clean, modern and the bed was very comfortable. The courtyard was in excellent […] condition and of course the location was perfect. The rooms don't face the beach but there are several windows in the room and they all open. I was able to get an ocean breeze in and at night you could hear the ocean. I really enjoyed my stay there. The only complaint I have is, my room was close to the ice manhine and people were getting ice at all hours the the night, and it was very noisy. I know there's nothing you can do about it, but if you could put a sign someplace on the ice machine that says you can't use it between 11:00 pm and 7:00 am, or something like […] that, it would be very good. Absoloutely loved this place! Room was small but very clean and comfortable. There was even a little mini kitchen complete with stove, microwave and refrigerator. Literally, steps to the beach, with lots of great little bars and restaurants in the neighborhood. Will definitely stay here again!

The hotel was very clean and was outfitted with a flatscreen tv and even a kitchen area.

Lage ist perfekt mit den Pacific nur Schritte weg, es gibt eine Küche in jede Zimmer und vielen Restaurants und Bars auf Garnet Avenue, echt Perfekt! Die Welle sind auch sehr schön im Tourmaline, ca. 5 Minuten von den Hotel.
