A conseiller

"Nice, friendly and comfortable hotel"
The hotel was just what we expected, nice, friendly and comfortable. it was woth every 4 stars it has. The breakfast was extremely versatile, many fresh fruits, nice coffee machines, variety of pasteries and eggs and everything. The room was clean and the beads were comfortable. Bathroom was nicely clean and modern and roomy. Thanks also the the friendly […] staff :) Lisez la suite
"OK, nothing to complain"
Breakfast is good. Location is good, too. Easy to take a subway and the nearest station is 200 m from the hotel.
Jose at reception, was prob. the most helpful and corteous member of reception staff i have ever met :)
"GOOD HOTEL"
15min from MAlaga airport by train, the train stops ouutside the hotel. The beach is 15min walking
"Is this really 4 stars?"
The location is perfect. However, the room was very motel 6 style. 1) Old and not so pretty bed covers 2) Beds were VERY HARD 3) No iron... not even at the front desk. After traveling, all clothes were wrinkled. A big deal for me. 4) It was very hot and the air was not on. I could not breath in the room and it was hot outside. We were there April […] 7-11. So the air does not get connected until later??? very weird for me :( 5) We had the TV on at midnight and the front desk called us saying neighbor complained about it. I said: Are you kidding me? I can't even watch a movie in this hotel??? Anyway... great location, but the hotel seems like it is less than 4 stars. The photo of the hotel is not even close to what you get. So just know what you are getting so you don't be surprised. Lisez la suite
"Small room, nice location"

Had a great 3 night stay, All inclusive very good value, an ideal out of season short break.
"Perhaps it has been better....."
Hmmm, We stayed for a week at Gran Hotel Cervantes, and we were quite disappointed. 4 star hotels usually offer more convinience htan we found - "Internet zone = 1 PC for we don't know how many peoples". Breakfast a mix of spanish and british breakfast, sloppy bacon, boring dry bread, coffe machines that always had some troubles, juice which was not […] to recognize, we will call it water with some sharp tasting substance in it! Fruit which 4 of 7 days was old and not looking fresh - it feld quite like the Gran Hotel Cervantes directly went after "All Inclusive" guests that looks for the amount of food, drinks and facilities, not the quality. Prices on a parking lot in the cellar is almost "airport level". Staff on hotel was OK, but not very helpfull if you asked for anything whit just a bit of a challenge. Nearby surroundings looks a bit "wearn out" - but there's some good nearby restaurants which offer very good food in a very good quality to a nice price - and a huge variaty. Lisez la suite
"Great hotel"
I cannot fault the hotel and it staff ,but only one downfall is to have internet in your room cost 30 pounds per week ,which i thought was very expensive ,otherwise a great hotel to stay in .
quality of food poor and variety limited, compared to a few years ago as i stayed here several times over the years.
"A very good hotel"
I think the location was very good. The hotel is situated just in the middle of Torremolinos. It is only two to five minutes walk to a lot of resturants and only a few minute walk to some big supermarkets and two fast food resturants. A very very clean hotel with friendly staff. When you walk to the beach on the street in front of the hotel you can […] either take the stairs (about 10 minutes walk to the beach) or you can take an escalator for a small charge and then walk for 5 minutes. Pretty easy to park the car nearby the hotel free of charge. I would stay here again! Lisez la suite
"Tremendous value for the money"
My husband, daughter, and I recently stayed at the Gran Hotel Cervantes for a couple days at both ends of our cruise that was leaving from Malaga. We loved our time at this hotel! The hotel is clean, the staff is friendly, the breakfast is very good, and the location is excellent. While the hotel is not on the beach, it is a short walk to the beach. […] Yes, the walk to the beach is all stairs, but there is an elevator available across the street for those who may not be able to (or want to) climb approximately 130 stairs. There are many shops and restaurants within just a couple minute walk of the hotel, as well as both bus and metro access. My suggestion is to save the 20 euro taxi fare and catch the metro from the airport for 2 euros. If you get off at the Torremolinos Centro stop, you'll be within a block or two of the hotel. My only complaints would be a.) The beds are incredibly hard. They more resemble wooden platforms than mattresses. b.) On our second stay, we waited 3 hours (and called 3 times) for a crib to be delivered to our room. Grr. Even still, I'd recommend this hotel for sure! Lisez la suite
the hotel was in very good place and very good spot but you need pay for internet and there is no kettle or frige in room and old tv , air co was alright but they need to get ther bed renwed as well but in avarrage was good place .
"Cervantes, can see beach but difficult to reach"
Seemed like a 3 star, a bit dated but overall not too bad. Goodt Breakfast (extra) and wonder why internet (wifi) is a expensive surcharge when McDonalds gives it to you for free! This is 2011 and 4 star hotels shouldn't be holding the internet hostage!
Room was old looking, had no iron, kettle, pants press or internet point. The bed was like as hard as the floor. We had to pay to use the safe. The aircon must of been connected to the mains sewage pipe because we couldnt be in the room when it was on as the smell is unreal. On the up side we were only there for 3 nights.
"Hotel Cervantes - in the city center"
Nice hotel close to almost everything - shopping, nightlife and the beach. If you want to go to the beach the easiest way is to take the elevator down and the back again. Cost for the elevator is 0,50 €/jorney. The hotel has in room safes but that is not free of charge. They charge 3 €/night. This came as a surprise as they didn´t mention about a surcharge […] on hotels.com. There is also a minibar in the room - but believe it or not it´s totally empty. You need to order what you wanna have in the minibar. Crazy!! The best thing is to go to the closeby supermakets (Carrefour or Mercadona) and stuff the minibar yourself. Standard rooms face to the back of the hotel (avenue and a smaller street). If you aren´t a good sleeper or a party animal you need to take this into concideration. There can be a lot of noise especially during the weekends. Lisez la suite

"Great Stay!"
Looked for ages for a hotel for a 3 night stop over and found Cervantes. So pleased with our choice - location and room great. Staff very friendly and food excellent choices - something for everyone. Large open areas near reception - hotel could do more with these spaces and give better offers in bar area which would keep people in hotel.
"Gran cervantes - extras cost!"
Lovely hotel, good location, no kettle and wifi is an unbelievable 5 euros for 20 minutes, they charge a huge amount compared to local bars. The pool area is ok -a bit crammed in, friendly staff tho and a room service menu, albeit overpriced and they dont answer the phone if you want to order! If you want the room later than 12 its around 50 euros til […] 6pm or around 20 til 3pm. subject to change I reckon. Also get a train from the airport, the taxis charge 20 euros and the train drops you outside the hotel and costs only 1 euro 50 cents. All in all a good hotel trying hard to make money. "The location of the Hotel was very good."
The Hotel was near beach and Restaurant and shops.
"Nice lobby, rest is smelly, food lousy."
The hotel is very convenient to get to from the airport, easy subway ride and a 2 minute walk. The hotel from the outside looks like nothing special but you are nicely surprised when you enter an updated lobby area. Staff: I walked up to the counter with a smile, a greeting, and my reservation copy (I do speak Spanish as well). The desk clerk took his […] time to finish whatever he was looking at on his computer, then grabbed my paper, and handed me the keys....all without saying a single word. Very rude indeed. I had to ask himabout al the info (where is breakfast, time, pool towels etc). Rooms: We got to our room which was facing another building, I asked to move to a higher floor, even if it was smaller than we had booked. The lady accomodated, but not happily. The rooms are very outdated and reeked of chemical cleaner, It;s a shame, because I think a simple paint job, change of curtains amd bedding, and it could be a very nice hotel. Balconies have nice views, but we had a dead cockroach in ours. The bathrooms are nicely done and updated. Food: We had reserved the half board so we were looking forward to the food. There was a million options at each meal, but the quality and flavor was absolutely horrible. I didn't think anyone could make a simple egg taste badly?! Very greasy, flies around the salads, breads were decent, cheeses tasted like plastic. Despite paying for the half board, we ate out many of the 5 days we were there. If you want to gorge yourself on food despite quality, this is the buffet for you. Definitely cheap too. Pools: The outdoor pool is nice, I think saltwater filtration system. Nicely sunny, but full of pink people and not enough seating/lounging areas, The winter pool (on the roof) is quite outdated. Bathroom on the roof is horrible, stinks of sewer and old poops in closed up stalls. yuck. Overall, would have been a nice enough stay if the desk staff and food were replaced. Lisez la suite
"Great Location! Stinking Sewage!"
The hotel's location is great! Very close to metro station and in close proximity to other cities such as Malaga and Marbella! The sewage from bathroom smelled really bad...had to close the bathroom door the whole time but the smell of dead fish was in the room for hours. The bed would make a squeeking noise with every move...very annoying. Wireless […] is not free...which is a big minus. Lisez la suite
"Great Stay!"
We had a great time and the room was more than we expected. Great Ocean Views and the location was good.
"The Hotel Cervantes- Centrally located!"
The staff was very helpful and the views from our room were amazing. The hotel was very clean and was just as good as any 4* I have stayed at. I would give it a must stay!
"GRAND CERVANTES,"
We loved the location of the hotel and we loved the area, shopping and dining. The staff was not very organized and there was always confusion and it was very slow at the desk. We also felt that was a definate prejudice against Americans with some of the staff. An example is when we were standing in line to ask a question, our turn came next and the […] staff behind the reception desk took (3) other customers before we finally were helped. All were Spainish speaking people ... It was a very obvious slap in our face. Lisez la suite
"value for money"
i stayed at the Cervantes hotel for 6 nights and it was enjoyable, everything went smoothly, had no problems at all untill i checked out, excelent location , very central, 1 minut walk from the train station and few minuts walk to the night life area, would go back there again.
"Grand Hotel Cervantes"
Lovely hotel 15-20 mins from Malaga airport. Street Parking a problem though there is a carpark (for a charge). Arrived late to find cold supper in restaurant waiting for us at 11.45pm. Nice surprise. Reception/all staff excellent service. Lovely roof swimming pool overlooking sea enclosed in winter. Nice sun trap. Also supper pool on ground level but […] as it was May when we went a bit cold to try. Breakfast buffet excellent - dinner buffet could have been hotter. Lisez la suite
"Right in the centre of Torremolinos"
This my fifth time to the Hotel Cervantes in Torremolinos. Although the room view was not as good as in the previous times, we could still see the sea and the hotel serive is superb as usual. We had good time. Staff is very responsive and helpful. Breakfast is really great, with a vast choice and abundant. The only drawback is the relative lack of parking […] in the neighbourhood and the high price for parking in the hotel private car par. Lisez la suite
"Stayed in April 2011"
Nice hotel, April was rainy and a bit cooler at night, could have done with a bit of warm air in the room but this as switched off. I have stayed here before and I do not remember the food being this bad. The indoor pool area and gym needs a make over. Not a bad hotel overall.
"its getting better"
We have stayed at this on three occasions over the past five years, the reason we returned after our first visit was because of its location, which is superb, convieniant for everything. The hotel itself on our first was a little dower and lacked sparkle, but it has improved on each visit and is now worthy of its 4star rating. The rooms are spotless the staff […] are excellent and cant do enough for you.,the food is good, the one thing it lacks is entertainment . Good value. Great breakfast
"Hotel Cervantes-Great central location"
Have stayed at this hotel around 5/6 times over last 2 years. Great location only minutes walk from Train Station and main shopping area in Torremolinos also a nice 5 min walk to beaches. Nice covered pool on rooftop for winter holidays. Quiet and modern, feels like a city hotel. Food good quality but this visit choice was not as good as during busier […] visits-understandable as hotel was quite empty as was resort at this time. Entertainment was just a singing du0 on Friday and Saturday only-I wouldn't use this hotel if entertainment was a requirement but for me it was fine and you are surrounded by bars and restaurants or can pop on train to surrounding resorts for a few euros. Great winter choice being right at centre of town. Downfall they charge for wifi and McDonalds (closeby) had a problem with free wi fi. This will be one of the hotels I will continue to use in this area. Lisez la suite
"Good value but rooms not that updated"
For a well located 4 star hotel it's good value for sure (at least when we went). Lobby is quite fancy and at least the breakfast was very nice. The rooms though had very hard beds (even to Spanish standards), and our room had a funky and musty smell and the decor was outdated (even though they apparently updated the rooms in 2008 or so). So if you […] need a place to sleep and get a good price, why not. If you think the rooms will look like the lobby they show on the pictures you may get disappointed though. If you stay here dine down the street at Matahambre, excellent food and wine at very reasonable prices in a lovely setting. Lisez la suite
