Travelodge Ottawa East - Ottawa

hotel bien situé, tranquille, quoique en peripherie (environnement banal), à 10 mn du centre ville à condition de ne pas se tromper de direction ( Ottawa WEST), bon confort pour le prix, on recommande cet hotel sans probleme.

Hotel de banlieue facile à trouver sans grand caractère et aussi sans surprise. pas de petit déjeuner possible dans l'Hotel

Besoin de rénovations, salle de bain désuète, beaucoup de bruit devant l'hôtel et ce, jusqu'aux petites heures du matin, trop cher pour ce qu'on nous offre.

We travel to Ottawa a few tines as year and have been staying at various hotels. This is a nice hotel, but the rooms are smaller that our past stays and do not include breakfast as the others do.

rather over-priced, esp considering the discount source of booking......no breakfast .... far from Ottawa's downtown.

great service from great people however building does require an upgrade renovation extensive

The room was average at best, light didn't work at all and bathroom light flickered incessantly. Bed was not comfortable at all. Should have gone somewhere else and will go somewhere else next time im in Ottawa

We found our stay very enjoyable. The Hotel has many converniences very close by. The Staff was friendly, the room was clean, and the Housekeeping staff was there every day. It is right by the 417. Would stay there again no problem.

My stay was fined.

I only stayed there for 2 night because it was close and convenient for where I needed to be but I will never stay there again!! No breakfast area only the restaurant across the street. The room smelled terrible and when I asked what could be done they gave me a deodorizer and didn't even offer to do it themselves. The room was not clean at all. I really wasn't expecting much for a 3-star and it met my expectations. Other than the fridge humming (which I unplugged) and the room really had some fragrance freshener (which I opened the window to clear the air) the room was fine. For a single person or 2 people to stay for 1-2 nights it was fine. I would go back again-you can't beat the price!

I found the hotel itself highly satisfactory. Receptionists were courteous, helpful and good-humoured. Rooms were spacious, well-equipped, well lit and comfortable, and very well looked after by the chambermaid. The only serious drawback was the absence of a restaurant. The only nearby substitute was a sports bar with an eating area. The staff there […] were well-trained and helpful, but the menu was dismal and I found the noise at lunchtime and dinnertime quite unpleasant. With only one other food outlet in the vicinity - a hamburger outlet - I was thankful for the provision of a refrigerator and microwave oven in the hotel room. Because of the isolated situation of the hotel a car is a necessity - and, for those not familiar with the city, a GPS navigator. The absence of a restaurant in the hotel or in the vicinity, and the relatively isolated situation of the hotel would, regrettably, deter me from returning to the Travelodge or recommending it to friends. I regret this, because I was completely satisfied with the accommodation, amenities, cleanliness and service offered by the hotel itself, and found that it offered very good value for money. This hotel was awful...I mean it smelled awful, the toilet seats are crooked, the towels are placed in the shower. It's hard to sleep because of the funky smell on the sheets. You hear people screaming outside of the hotel at 2 a.m. I only stayed for one night because there was no way that I could stay for another day.

There are many plusses about this hotel; there is a restaurant on site, a convenience with an attached Tim-Hortons and a gas station; there is a Costco down the road; you are 7 minutes away from Walmart, Lowe's, bank; very good area

We reserverd the queen bed and non-smoking room. But it turned out was a double bed and smoking room. The receptionist said that they were overbooked, no other room was available. We booked 4 queen-bed rooms, but all the rooms were doubled. Very disappointed.

We had reserved and paid for a non smoking room We reserved and paid for a non smoking room for a two night stay. When checking in we were given a smoking room. We explained our prearranged bookings and were told that we would have to take the smoking room and it was the only room available. The room was dirty and smelled like an old dirty ashtray. […] The front desk told us to open the window. Also we did not have any maid service for the entire stay. It's about what you'd expect - the staff was very nice, the room was simple and unexciting, the location is convenient, the neighborhood is basically strip-mall and commercial. The restaurant/bar next door had decent food. While we did not use it, they had just finished renovating the indoor pool, and it looked very inviting. The standard cable TV service […] had plenty of channels, but who rents a room to watch TV?? Only two very minor issues - the room smelled suspiciously like it was formerly a smoking room. Either that, or the previous occupant had a serious foot odor problem. Either way, we opened the window and that was enough to clear the air. The other oddity was what appeared to be a wireless router hanging by its cable in the hallway. Since it was unlike any of the other wall mounted routers, we think they were probably just in the process of updating the equipment, and this was the last one to go. Did'nt affect our stay, just thought it was odd. Simply put - for a basic place lay your head at a very reasonable rate, we would recommend this hotel. Lisez la suite

Other than the price to lay your head down for the night, this was a comfortable Hotel. Service was good and the staff was great. The reservation system worked just fine, and was book-in in 2-3 minutes. The services in the area are not far away. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. We were very pleased with our stay. R.R.R.

Although the location is convenient if you want to stay outside of the downtown Ottawa area, I would not recommend this hotel. The room we were in was dusty, dirty and cigarette burn marks on the floor. The hotel had a lot of young people staying there (perhaps a school trip?) and they were very rowdy and loud. We were travelling with dogs and the noise […] caused them to bark. Also, there was a strong odour of smoke (not from cigarettes) and police presence in the hotel. Lisez la suite

The hotel is neat and clean, room was a bit small for two people. Great breakfast at the restaurant!
