Stay was good, but our luggage was handled in a bad way. We had one of the bag sealed and didnt plan to open it for our entire honeymoon but the guy who was handling our bag open the seal saying that is what they do with all bags. But the sad part was the way he opened it, he had bluntly opened the plastic seal which caused permanent scars on our new […] bag (didnt tear it though). Lisez la suiteAvis certifié Hotels.com
"4 start location and room, 2.5 start service"
This hotel is quite fantastic. The executive room was very spacious and tastefully done. Bed was comfortable and bathroom had a really neat flooring with pebbles in it. (Completely flush with the floor so you couldn't feel them). Not too much of a view so don't hold your breath for one. The Bad: service was pretty bad. We asked for a place to rent scooters […] and the concierge told us the wrong place... we found a scooter rental brochure on the lobby desk the next day. Pretty bad that there was a brochure telling us a great place to rent, yet the concierge had no idea. The front staff just didn't feel welcoming -- like they didn't want to be there. However, a great place to stay regardless. Lisez la suiteAvis certifié Hotels.com
Great hotel in the perfect location. Just on the edge of the old town with countless cafes, restaurants and shops in the surrounding streets and the promenade just the other side of the building from the hotel entrance. Friendly, helpful staff who speak excellent English and the private beach was lovely. We didn't pay for loungers; we just went down […] and sat in the comfy bar seating, sipping cocktails with the sun beating down on us. All in all a lovely place to stay. Only 2 minor points - there were no spoons with the tea & coffee making facilities and our room, which overlooked the pretty garden, was a little on the dark side. With the shutters closed it was a blackout even in bright sunshine so alarms were necessary for waking up and even with them open the lights were needed when getting ready to go out. Small things that are just useful to know in advance. Loved it here. Lisez la suiteAvis certifié Hotels.com
"Nice hotel with a totally wrong description"
We were on our honeymoon when we booked with Expedia staff we were totally mislaid by the description of the so say superior patio room which we booked( apparently they do have patio rooms) we had to wait until 3.30 to get into our room which was not the room we were lead to have booked, staff back tracked on what they said, we finally got into our […] room at 7.30 and waited another 45 mins for our bags NOT to arrive, they forgot to bring them, they did give a complementary beach pass although they said it was not part of our package which your salesman sold us, two days into our stay the air con broke down and we were left with fans. We booked a better class hotel for our honeymoon, we normally stay in 2star hotels in nice, which far out way this stay. Very disappointed as it was our honeymoon and we didn't get what we paid for. Very bad customer service disappointing . Lisez la suiteAvis certifié Expedia
"Great location, nice hotel"
Beautiful hotel on the waterfront with private beach… what's not to like? The rooms are modern and trendy, though ours needed a little bit of maintenance (we had to ask for a new mini-fridge as our wasn't working; the bathroom faucet handle was broken; the carpet appeared to have had a spill or water leak that they had an air filter running near when […] we first arrived). No real complaints - it was great hotel in a great location, and the price wasn't bad. Lisez la suiteAvis certifié Hotels.com

"Ok, but could be so much better"
This is a hotel with what has to be one of the best locations in Nice, close to the sea, Old town and city centre. We had a one night stay in a Superior room before leaving for home. The pros: Service was good and friendly and beds comfy, and we had a French balcony with some sea views. Good AC. Cons: the room did not feel entirely clean, the carpet […] was dusty and there was a half-eaten chocolate bar in the minibar fridge. While the bathroom was good sized there was no shower wall or shower curtain so there was water everywhere if one wanted to shower standing up... Furthermore the shower head and bathtub was just by the door of the bathroom so we had to put almost all our towels on the floor to prevent a deluge to the rest of the room. Decor is nice but clearly aged with chipped wood and water spots on furniture and the hotel would need some surface renovations. In conclusion an ok and comfortable stay but for the relatively steep price we paid and for a four star hotel we expect a little better. Lisez la suiteAvis certifié Hotels.com
"Way below expectations"
Hotel condition overall is rundown. The lobby is the only nice area. The condition of the room we were given was disappointing - carpet was really dirty, tiles were falling off the walls in the bathroom, furniture is old. We complained and requested to change the room. The second room was no better - carpet was filthy, walls and wood trims were damaged […] from an apparent bathroom leak. The only positive thing I can say about the hotel is the convenient location. Lisez la suiteAvis certifié Expedia

Very good hotel with modern rooms. Perfectly located close to everything in Nice. A bit too noicy traffic although you get used to it fairly soon.Avis certifié Hotels.com
"Great location to flower market and beach"
I found the hotel to be in the perfect location in Old Nice. A walk up the block and you are in the flower market every morning. Across the street you have the amazing sea with beach chairs and umbrellas to rent. I loved Old Nice It is romantic charming and just what you would imagine France to be! "Not 'Beau' at all!"
We stayed here for our Honeymoon. Upon arrival after telling the staff this, we were greeted with the 'news' that our hotel room would not have any air conditioning for the duration of our entire stay. There was no apology or offer of a gesture for this inconvenience apart from two small bottles of water from the mini bar. Further, we also found that […] there was no electricity in the room for 4 hours on the first day of our stay. Not what you expect from a 4* hotel. On the third day, there was no hot water! The only gesture from the hotel at this point, was a breakfast, which was served cold, as they forgot to switch on the equipment to keep the buffet warm, and champagne. In essence, we received a very poor service from this hotel. Travelodge has a better service and air conditioning! Lisez la suiteAvis certifié Hotels.com
"Expectations were higher of an established hotel."
Normally we rent an apartment, but decided to try this hotel which was ideally placed, and the beach club was an additional attraction. Disappointed with the cleanliness of the room. Rm 123 was 'tired' and in need of decorating. Overlooked the entrance to a noisy nightclub (from 10pm to 4am nightly). Overall the staff were friendly and informative. This […] hotel has a certain stature in the Nice area which in my opinion does not live up to its name. Lisez la suiteAvis certifié Expedia
"Quirky Boutique hotel."
We had a lovely, relaxing stay in this stylish hotel. Staff were efficient, helpful and friendly. Hotel was located amongst the 'buzz' but still peaceful and quiet. Room was a decent size, with quiet air con and beautifully decorated. Breakfast till 10.30, provided a good variety of choices, handy although a little pricey.Avis certifié Expedia

"Not a lot of bang for the buck"
My friend and I stayed here during our backpacking trip around Europe. We figured we would spend a little extra because we were in Nice. The hotel Beau Rivage did not live up to its reviews nor star rating. The staff was rude, the room was dirty (they actually first gave us a room that was already occupied) and they lied to us about being on the "beach […] front". Bottom line one up front, save your money and stay further away from the beach. There are better places and there's no reason to spend so much. Also, the beach is free to access, no matter what they tell you.. Lisez la suiteAvis certifié Hotels.com
Brilliant location, right on cusp of old town (with huge number of restaurants, gift shops, markets, etc)100 yards from beach (plenty public access, so no need to pay 20e a day to use the private bit), 2 min from tram stop which takes you direct to train station Staff very friendly and helpful Only slight issues are: 1. Not all rooms have had the […] bathroom refurbished....although very clean, the shower screen had no seal and floor was constantly wet when having shower 2. Free wifi was a bit slow at times Lisez la suiteAvis certifié Hotels.com
"Great hotel, pity about the showers"
Excellent location on the Promenade des Anglais close to the Old Town, high class facilities, attentive staff. A shame that there was often no hot water at peak times - after 8.30 a.m. and late afternoon - presumably due to inadequate capacity. This has been commented on in previous reviews and really need sorting out by a hotel of this class. Otherwise, […] a great place to stay and highly recommended. Lovely hotel, well situated, clean modern rooms. Problem is the noise - even with double glazed windows there is a lot of noise on a Fri and Sat. Police / hotel didnt seem too concerned with resolving eitherAvis certifié Hotels.com
"Great place to stay"
This hotel is close to the fun stuff in Nice, old town, the beach, good shopping and restaurants. Everyone was helpful and pleasant and the room was just fine. One warning though, and this has nothing to do with the hotel; If you have a car then you have to put it in one of the parking garages nearby. DO NOT leave anything of value in sight in the car. […] In fact in may be a good idea to not leave anything in the car. Someone broke into ours and stolen a little camera that I left in sight, but nothing else. This is a common occurance in parking garages all around the world so be careful and enjoy the Beau Rivage hotel. We will come back to this hotel. Lisez la suiteAvis certifié Hotels.com

"Convenient for beach and old town"
We stayed for a week in late May and early June. The room was comfortable though not large for a double. The other hotel facilities were minimal - a small bar and breakfast room. We didn't use the beach terrace so can't comment on that. The staff were friendly and helpful. We booked parking for our car but hadn't appreciated that this entitled us to […] a swipe card to use at a public car park about 500m away. There was no guaranteed space which was usually OK but occasionally difficult late at night. However, at 20E per day it was still good value. The hotel is in a great position one street back from both the Promenade des Anglais and Place Massena which has a lovely park and water fountains. It's also just on the edge of the fascinating old town. It is quite expensive, but no more so than comparable hotels in Nice. Lisez la suiteAvis certifié Expedia
"Great Location but a Disappointment"
Location is great and that is important to us but disappointed with everything else. Lobby looks great and staff are all friendly but not happy with our room as bed was most uncomfortable as felt uneven and badly needs replacement. Bathroom tiles needs proper cleaning. No views to the beach although website shows beach front views which is very misleading. […] Have to pay to use beach facilities although supposedly part of the hotel. Not likely return to this hotel but will definitely return to Nice. Lisez la suiteAvis certifié Hotels.com
"Nice hotel close to beach"
Excellent location. Hotel has no sea view but is just across the street, very convenient. Although it is the only hotel with its own beach, the two are separate companies, no inconvenience caused, they just bill separately. Very clean, nice staff, had a wonderful dinner at the beach restaurant with DJ at the bar that night, really enjoyable. Restaurants […] located on the street facing hotel entrance are really best in the area, can't go wrong with any of them (a little pricy), flower market very nice just 4 min walking. This is the first time I submit a review, it really was a great experience, I would go there again when in Nice. Lisez la suiteAvis certifié Expedia
The hotel was in a great spot and clean, however the staff bordered on rude on several occasions, there was no courtesy room to change in and the private beach mysteriously closed at 4 despite the sun still shining late into the evening. I would stay at the hotel again but wouldn't bother paying 20 euros for the "priviledge of a packed sardine private […] beach". My advice would be take or buy your own beach towel and plonk yourself down on the non private pebbled shore and enjoy the heaven that is Nice. Lisez la suiteAvis certifié Hotels.com
"Convenient, clean, helpful staff"
Overally, this was a good hotel & I was pleased with my stay. The location is very convenient - close to the beach (but does not have a private area), super close to the restaurants in old town, and about a 20 min walk to the train station. The room was clean & the staff was pleasant & helpful. The only negatives were the size of the room & the hair […] products. The room was tiny - they should actually do away with one of the desks (who needs two?) and have a luggage rack. Also, the complimentary hair product was a shampoo/conditioner combo which left my hair a tangled mess. So be sure to pack your own conditioner! Lisez la suiteAvis certifié Hotels.com

"Great location, shame about the rooms."
We asked to be moved from our original room as it was very disappointing for a 4* hotel; tiny, big stain on carpet, sellotape patching up the mirror and broken light fittings, plus very shabby woodwork. To be fair to the reception staff who were perfectly friendly, there was no quibbling about moving us, (probably not the first time it's happened,) […] and we were moved to another much bigger room. The hotel was full as it was Monaco Grand Prix weekend but luckily ( or not ) someone had checked out early - there's a clue in there.... The second room while much more space was not without its issues either: hot water took 10 mins to come through and we couldn't actually use the overhead shower as it was faulty and sprayed the whole bathroom. The plastic toilet flush button also came away in my partner's hand! The rooms just needed some TLC and clearly hadn't been updated / refreshed in a good while but it's not ok at these prices. On the plus side, beds are very comfortable and free wifi worked fine. Didn't try breakfast. Lisez la suiteAvis certifié Expedia

"Nice, next to beach, near old town and shopping"
The staff were very helpful and accommodating, providing detailed local information. I was in Nice for the first time, with no guide book. The location was perfect for the flower market, the old town and shopping at Rue Massena. The breakfasts (which were included in the price) had an extensive range from fresh fruit to a full English and were replenished […] up till 10:30, when breakfast officially ended. "Great location, nice boutique type hotel"
Updated, well located hotel near sights, restaurants, and beach. Staff were very helpful, room was pleasant, quiet and well appointed. Wish we had had the opportunity to use beach facility, but it was a bit cool the day we stayed there, an extra day after our tour ended. Arriving at the hotel with no parking is difficult, having to leave the car doubled parked while checking in and getting car park pass,if available. "Nice friendly hotel in excellent position"
I have stayed in various areas of Nice in the past & found this position to be the best by far. Close to the beach, old town & shops everything was truley on your doorstep. "Comfortable and convenient"
Spent two nights and was happy overall. The location is very central and the staff is very helpful (except one who gave us misinformation about travelling to Monaco).
