Reasonable hotel. Room comfortable with huge bed. Bathroom disappointing, grout looked discoloured and shower not great. Didn't eat at hotel so can't comment on food. Attempted to visit hotel bar one night, a badly spelt sign intimated that the barman would return in 30 mins, there was no indication of when this 30 mins started so we decided not to […] wait. The hotel give the impression that the private beach is part of the hotel and is inclusive, it is neither. All you get by staying ay the hotel is a small discount, this should be made clear in the hotel information. Great hotel close to the beach and train station. It was a great location to base out of for visiting many sights along the French Riviera. The breakfasts were wonderful and the staff at the hotel very attentive and friendly.

The main reason we would recommend the hotel is for the fantastic location in Nice Old Town. It was very easy to get to the airport too... roughly 15min drive. There are no beach towels provided in the hotel room if you choose to use the public section of the beach, you only get the towels if you book and pay to use the private section of beach. It is by no means a luxury hotel, however, the location is fantastic. Rooms are modern, a tad run-down but generally clean. The main point is you won't find a nicer hotel this close to the beach for less. Nice staff, and an overall excellent value.

The best perk of this hotel was the great location along the beach and Place Massena, right next to all of the action. The hotel itself was one of those hotels with a nice exterior and lobby, while the room itself was quite dirty. Location was great. Particularly for accessing both the old and newer parts of Nice. The beach front was close by and there is a private beach. The hotel is well kept but it didn't have a warm feel about it, which works in one way as it keeps you out all day seeing the sights of Nice. Perfect location, next to old city, beaches, rue massena! Extremely surprised by the friendlyness of the hotel staff, a very big compliment to them. Booked a junior suite, wich was a very spacious room with a large sofa, bathroom was a little past dated. A very enjoyable stay made better by the exceedingly good service of the hotel reception staff. We were not entirely happy with the room we were given when we arrived (a little small with minimal hanging space), however, we were moved to a much better room even though the hotel was full for the weekend that we stayed.

Stayed four nights at the Hotel Beau Rivage during Easter weekend 2012. Chose this hotel because of the location near the water, didn't imagine the location would be this good...right near old town Nice and the flower market, lovely alleyways with incredible restaurants. We had three adults in one room, which worked fine with a roll away bed. Very clean […] and comfortable, really good breakfast buffet, too. FREE internet, which was a welcome surprise! Make sure you wander through the alleys to find good food and shops, we had a wonderful time wandering. This hotel is also near the tram and bus stops at Place Massena. Easy to get to main train station from there. Took day trips to Monaco (1 Euro for bus each way), and Cannes (via train). The Hotel Beau Rivage Nice is not up to four star standards, except for the price. The receptionist was rude and could not look at her clients in the face. The rooms are in desperate need of update. We stayed in this hotel only one night in December 2011 and would not go back. The one saving grace is the location. This is a charming little hotel one block off the Promenade Anglais in a very central location. It is within easy walking to the flower market and many charming restaurants. We opted for a junior suite and it was really large and comfortable. The staff is friendly and helpful. We walked to the Marc Chagall Museum from the hotel. It took about a half […] hour and it was easy to find. I would definitely stay there again. We were in Nice prior to a cruise on Seabourn Legend. An excellent Hotel with an excellent location in the hearth of the old town in Nice. If it was not for an issue we had with the hot water, we would have recommended this Hotel to others. The hot water broke down during one morning with the effect that we could not take a shower. No compensation was offered to us from the personell on this matter.

The make over of Berau Rivage taht happened just a few years ago is ready to be refreshed. The odern style is excellent, but as we might expect after a couple of years it's getting tired. Just needs a bit of paint etc. Do take note, the hotel s now on the back side of teh original Beau Rivage. At first glance the hotel is modern, but upon closer inspection there was visible mold on the shower wall and the tub. There was mold and someone else's hair on the counter near the sink and the drawer in the bathroom didn't stay shut. There were spots on the carpet that were wet by the bed, you felt like you didn't want to walk on the carpet with your […] bare feet. Location was great, steps to the beach-even though it was over 20 euros to sit at it and there was no half day price-you can sit on the public beach close by but know that it is a rocky beach-no sand. It takes only a few minutes to walk to the Cours Saleya (flower market) where you will find an abundance of cafes to go for breakfast. The Open Top Bus Tour also starts nearby and you are only a few mintutes away from a tram stop. The square at Place Massena and the old […] town are all lively in the eveings and only a short walk back to the hotel. The hotel room (standard twin) was small but comfortable although the air conditioning could have been better. The hanging space in the wardrobe was minimal and your suitcases just had to lie on the floor leaving you little space. But overall a nice room, well decorated and clean. Too have a drink in the Hotel's beach cafe you need to cross the road/promenade. When arriving at the airport catch a No 98 bus and the bus actuallu stops at Beau Rivage (although on the promenade side) giving you a two minute walk to the hotel. My […] only complain really was the bed. It was very uncomfortable. It slopped down really bad on both sides so we had to squeeze in the middle to keep from falling off the bed. Another thing that was a little strange is that there weren't any drawers anywhere. We had enough hanging closet space but no drawers. So I ended up piling my folded items in the small area next to the nightstand. Both of these items would be an easy fix for the hotel... New mattress and a small dresser. Both my husband , who travels & stays in 5 star hotels, booked last minute and came across Beau Rivage. We were very impressed with this boutique type hotel. Great location to centre ville, a step away to lots of restaurants & block away from beach. The beds were so comfortable, conceirge staff provided superior customer service ~ they were very trustworthy […] of us when we borrowed a converter for our blackberry; very accommodating with our requests, very friendly and always greeted you with a smile. Lovely hotel - went there for a girls holiday, twin beds were pushed together, wasn't any room to have them apart though. we were good friends so didn't matter to much.not much room to have two suitcases, but a good size bathroom. The only drawback that we found was that it appeared from the website that private beach access was included with a room, but there is only a slight discount.
