"Excellent hotel !

"Rodeway Inn and Suites The Broker"
"very convenient/comfort 5 stars"
the staff was friendly - the complementary breakfast was good - place close to highway and near restaurants/gas station - 5 miles from downtown - very good value for the money -
"There's a reason this hotel is inexpensive"
Because it's quite old, poorly maintained, & dingy. On the positive side, the service was good & it's conveniently located near the CU campus.
"Needs updating!"
You do get what you pay for... Our bathroom smelled and had mildew on the tile behind the toilet, and there was a weird stain dripping down the wall from the ceiling by the tv. The woodworking and stained glass in the lobby are nice, but the rooms could really use a remodel... or a good all-around scrubbing. We won't stay here again.
"Time has passed The Broker by"
Dated doesn't describe it. The rooms have an old world feel and not in a nice way. The breakfast room is a dungeon, with little natural light. The public spaces were last decorated in the Eisenhower era, or thereabouts. The bath towels are so small they are the size of hand towels. Unless you just need a place to sleep, look elsewhere.
"Close to University of Colorado"
The hotel is close to CU and is larger than it first appears. The rooms were comfortable. The only drawback was the free breakfast. When we got there it only had a few pastries and cold cereal.
"Dont look too close..."
I would recommend this hotel to those on a tight budget wanting to be within walking distance to the university. The staff are friendly and helpful, but the hotel itself is need of a serious cleaning and renovation. Our room smelled of cigarette smoke, but we suspect it dated from before smoking-ban laws and the walls had drip marks from an ancient […] leak. Overall not too bad, but don't look too close... "Rodeway Inn & Suites - Boulder, Colorado"
Breakfast included scrambled eggs and hash brown potatoes which was a pleasant surprise, but the breakfast area had a stale and musty smell. I was unable to get cold water for drinking from the room's faucets. I needed to take some medication and went looking for an ice machine to cool off the hot water which was all I had available in my room. There […] was a sign on my floor indicating an ice machine location, but it was missing. I found one on another floor. At first I thought the lack of cold water issue was a problem limited to one room, but my travels required me to return to the same hotel the following week, and I had the same lack of cold water. The water in the toilet was so hot that condensation covered the toilet seat if the lid remained closed. When I kept the lid open, the windows for the room became completely fogged with condensation from the toilet. I reported this to the front desk and was told that the hotel had a problem with their hot water in the past and that the boiler had been repaired to provide hot water. Now all that's available is HOT WATER. A guest entrance towards the back of the hotel had an old sign on it that the door needed to be repaired and not to use it. I saw a guest exit through the door and it appeared to function without a problem. I, too, exited from this door and found that one was able to access the hotel without having to use their room key....thus a lack of security. Overall, the hotel is in serious need of renovation and maintenance. I've probably stayed in more than 100 hotels in the last 5 years and none were in as bad a condition as this one. Lisez la suite
"Boulder Broker Hotel"
The hotel is very worn out. Bedding is very old and worn out. Bathroom is outdated and dirt in all corners. The upholstered room chair could not be used at all. The location was very good- central to Boulder and CU. I would not recommend staying in this hotel.

"Almost"
Almost a repeat performance. The extras they provided like breakfast and a pool would almost make me want to rebook. But due to the conditions of the bed and coffee maker I'll give some other hotel a chance. The beds were sagging so much in the middle we contemplated sleeping in separate beds. The coffe maker that I used to brew my store bought coffee […] turned it in to something I would not offer my own guest. It could have been either the coffee maker or the water, or possibly the combination. Due to its location to downtown Boulder and because I didn't have to spend money for breakfast, I was able to look around their shortfalls. But I will definitely look for another option next time. "not such a good place"
The hotel was pretty shabby. Wish I had paid a bit more to stay at a nicer place.

"poor services, bad frist day."
It was very poor services.. frist day I had two major problems with TV (old vison with digtial cable) which was cause slow like 30 frames per sec not normal as 33 frames per sec.. poor adjustment with high speed TV cable.. "Decent, but dated."
The location of this hotel is very good because of its proximity to CU-Boulder, but overall the hotel needs to be modernized. The building, the furniture, and the amenities feels old despite its old-school charm. New televisions are needed, the room wall plugs and lamps need to be replaced with more modern ones. Otherwise, it is comfortable and clean […] with friendly service. Lisez la suite

"The Broker Inn - Clean and Convenient"
Located right next to the CU - Boulder campus. Very clean and convenient to downtown Boulder. A little noisy on Friday nights.
"Very Nice Place to Stay"
My review is based on the quality of this type of hotel and the type of services available at this price range. For the price, this hotel was a very nice place. The lobby was quite upscale with lots of wood and nice furniture. The room was somewhat dated, but clean and comfortable. Breakfast was free and included eggs, hash browns, breakfast meats, […] fruit, oakmeal, cereals, toast, muffins, juices, milk and coffee. I was visiting my daughter at CU, so the location was very close to campus. Even though the hotel is right off the freeway, the room was very quite at night. Lisez la suite
"Cold!"
November, and the room heater didn't work! If you are on a budget, this place is fine. It is interesting, and close (very close) to campus. It is styled in an 1800's German tradition, and is interesting. We were disappointed that the free breakfast was over an hour late because the cook didn't come in on time.
"The Broker in Boulder Colorado - Quirky Comfort"
We had a great stay in Boulder in part thanks to the Broker hotel. The hotel while now a Roadway Inn has retained the charm from the time it was the Broker with lots of quirky accents. While the free breakfast left something to be desired, the location (an easy 1 mile walk to most anything) and the atmosphere were wonderful. Would definitely stay there […] again. Lisez la suite
"Roadway Inn, The Broker Boulder, CO"
For a quick overnight and any CU biz / function this is the place, may not be the newest oir most modern in decor but most convenient, comfortable and service staff top notch...
"Okay if you just need a place to sleep"
This is just a basic hotel room, with outdated mattresses and pillows. It is fine if you just want a place to sleep that is close to the university, but I would not recommend it for a family vacation or a romantic weekend.
Not as bad as some reviews purport. I thought my room was nice and clean.

"A hated house"
When we first got there, there was no desk clerk. There was a line of about three people and we were the last in line and we waited 10 minutes for the clerk to show up. The lobby and the room smelt very moldy and musty. It looked liked it had built in the 1940's. When you walk in you feel like you had just walked into a hated house. It was very creepy […] and the room was even worse. We did not stay our second night and we were a little scared staying the one night. We had two beds but we could only use one because one had a very large stain on the white sheets when pulled he comforter off. I would never stay here again and I do not recomend anyone else do the same. He dining room was even worse and beyond describing. Lisez la suite
"Great location, but that's about it"
Very disappointing. Kitchy decor, hard & scratchy bedding, old TVs, cold shower (really! 2 days in a row!!). the WORST breakfast buffet ever, including lukewarm coffee. Upside: great location if you're there for the university, and nice happy hour drinks (in the ugly/kitchy bar, but still, 2 drinks for $5!!)
"Rodeway - Boulder"
Reasonable rates, older facility, great location. Beds were not too comfortable, but I would stay there again for the value and location, near the university. We had no problems with our stay.
It was a nice hotel. Good location in Boulder, near restaurants, bars, and the university.

"Rodeway Broker Inn"
I am disappointed that I reserved 2 queen-size beds and was given standard-size beds. They did not have any queen-size left. This was after making my reservation far in advance. My reservation from hotels.com said I would be getting queen-size beds.
"Past glory"
The Broker used to be a lovely spot. Staff still friendly. Now it lacks quality control oversight. Television unplugged in two rooms, remote, even with a new battery, did not work, no hot water at 7am mid-week?! Really? Even a one- star does better than that.
"The Broker, Broken?"
This hotel is in need of complete refurbishment, the decor and furniture is tired to say the least. The staff was fine but looked a little embarrassed with the infrastructure. Breakfast was fine, hot (scrambled egg, porridge, toast) and cold (fresh fruit, cereal etc) and supplies were replenished frequently. The surrounding area is a little odd and […] looks a bit rough from the hotel car park. There must be better hotels in Boulder. Lisez la suite
"Dingy and Run Down"
This hotel was below par, even for the price. The room was dingy, old, and I didn't want to sit down anywhere or step on the floor. It was so gross that we considered forfeiting the money and staying at a different location, or going out late at night just to not have to stay in the room. The mattresses were terrible-- kept rolling into my partner all […] night, thin mattress and sheets, and dingy. I reserved a room with two queens-- got a room with two doubles. Hotels.com said the checkout was at 12noon. The front desk called snottily to say that we were late with our check out even though they had not updated the information on the website. Having said that, the front desk did go above and beyond to microwave leftovers in their kitchen, the breakfast was better than expected, and the location was convenient, not to mention it had free parking. "Rodeway Inn"
Room was clean although very old. The phone did not work and they had to replace it, along with the ref. When I came back after the maid had cleaned the room I found my toothbrush in the toilet. When I went to take a bath there was no stopper so they brought one the next day. When I went to put on my make up the next morning some of it was missing. […] I told them and the head maid came in and looked under the bed. I thought REALLY?? So I had to buy a new toothbrush and makeup. The pool was super clean and very warm and the jacuzzi too. I wouldnt stay here again too many things that were good!! Staff was very friendly though! Lisez la suite
"Rhodeway Inn the Broker"
We stay in Boulder quite a bit as we have two kids at University. This hotel had a great price, and I always appreciate a hot breakfast included. Saves a lot of money. We thought it had a very interesting history, and was quiet and old, really quaint. The pool and jacuzzi were actually too warm, for the hot summer, but well maintained. My only complain […] would be I always prefer a little refrig in the room, and the in room coffee was not restocked during our 5 day stay. No problem getting anything we needed from the maids and front desk though, so again FOR THE PRICE - better than expected!! Lisez la suite
"Over all I liked this hotel...except for a few"
Over all I liked the Rodeway Inn and Suites. But, I was annoyed about a few things. First of all my water in my shower never really got that warm during my shower even when turned all the way up to hot. Also, the tv didnt work nor did the phone in the room. The room other wise was decorated nicely and cleaned nicely. For one night it wasnt bad, I probably […] wouldnt not stay there for a long period of time though. Lisez la suite
"Seen better days..."
The Broker Inn (now a part of the Roadway Inn chain) was once one of the better known names in Boulder. While it sill has an ideal location, and some of it former glory in the trappings of the facility, the rooms are in need of serious overhauls. By myself I would have been fine here, but since my wife has asthma it was a bit uncomfortable. The mattresses […] could certainly be replaced, and a little higher quality linens (i.e. fitted sheets that actually fit) would go a long way to improving the experience. Very handy having the Dark Horse walking distance for a night cap, and an ideal location to get to anywhere in Boulder and into the mountains. Next time we will be staying in a newer property, sorry to say. Lisez la suite
"Shady hotel with bad service"
I can not recommend anything good about this hotel. The people who stay in this hotel are very shady. We woke up in the middle of the night with the sound of the police banging on one of the doors of an neighboring room, arresting two people. In the morning when we asked the front desk about the issue, they said they didn't know anything about it!!!! […] They didn't even attempt to explain the circumstances to the residents. The whole ordeal was going on for more than an hour with the cops doing some serious yelling and yet the hotel personnel denied everything! The breakfast was absolutely terrible, and the staff were not friendly at all. The hotel itself is very old and not clean. Lisez la suite
"Rodeway The Broker"
Older hotel, upscale when built, with nice woodwork, leaded glass doors, etc. Staff friendly and helpful. Continental breakfast so so. Room was clean, king bed and couch, tables, microwave and frig. Stores built up around the hotel and area so view not so good. But, quiet, clean and good sleeping.
"Hotel near CU Boulder"
Older hotel, comfortable, clean, quiet, good food in the bar, very convenient location and good price. We have stayed here 3 times now, when visiting our college students. Staying again next week.
"excellent location"
Stayed 2 nights in August 2011. Hotel was clean, quiet and friendly. Loved the location with access to bike trails and campus and downtown.
