Holiday Inn Warsaw - Varsovie

J'ai ete mis dans une chambre pour personnes en fauteuil roulant... Donc... Face aux ascenceurs (bruyant, merci pour eux), avec un mobilier et surtout une salle de bain inadaptés (la douche... Les rideaux ne descendaient pas assez bas pour eviter l'inondation). C'est quand meme n'importe quoi.

My brother and I stayed at the Holiday Inn, Warsaw (city center) for 4 nights while we were in town to run the Warsaw Marathon. We needed a place we could easily walk/jog to and from the start and finish and it was perfect. The booking was reserved and pre-paid under my name but with differing travel itineraries, my brother arrived 4-5 hours before […] me and checked in first. Though I didn't make any notes this would happen he was able to check in easily thanks to the excellent customer service of the front desk staff. Our room on the 6th floor was clean and had a beautiful view of the construction happening immediately next door (the skeleton of a luxury high rise filled the very large window). The construction was really not an issue at all because the window/walls were actually quite sound proofed-it was only when we opened the window for some fresh air did we find this out! The reason I picked the Holiday Inn over any other hotel in the proximity of the marathon was the free wi-fi. Huge selling point. I did not notice though when booking the room that it was free in the hotel lobby but not in the room. It was not an issue for me-the fee for in room wifi was roughly $10 for 24/hours. I only used it in the room one night in order to listen to a broadcast of the NY Jets football game. The only complaint I had about the internet was for some reason it would "time out" or require you to log in every hour or so. Again, not a huge issue-most times I don't sit on the internet for more than 45 minutes anyway-especially while on vacation. I did make use of the free wifi in the very comfortable lobby/lounge and was impressed with the connection speed-using skype to keep in touch with my girlfriend was as easy as it could have been. The front desk was very helpful with all questions and needs. Asking for opinions/locations/directions to local restaurants was easy. Nice hotel,great location, good service

Warsaw is not my cup of tea but if you are going to sightsee there this is a great hotel with a good location. It is right across from the railroad station and a great non-tourist shopping mall with good prices, restaurants and stores. Safe neighborhood in walking distance from several location of tourist interest.

The restroom needs air ventilation

Easy to get to & from Chopin WAW airport by taxi at reasonable price. We selected a taxi, based on information at the airport information desk, to get to the hotel. The taxi service to return to the airport was arranged by the hotel. Both at a reasonable price. Payment was in Zloty (local currency). Hotel reception staff speaks good English. Hotel […] is adjacent to sights you can walk to & close to Old Town & a castle (where bus access works fine). I asked the bus driver (in English) to let us know when to get off. Possible to arrange a car hire (rental) to be delivered to & picked up at the hotel for no additional fee. Easy to drive in Poland since the rules of the road are similar to those I use in the USA. A GPS is required, I think, and a map should be used as a sanity check. I drove from Warsaw to Wloclawek and Gniezno and 11 small towns near each and was able to easily get back to the hotel in Warsaw. The large shopping mall across the street from the hotel has nice shopping and eating places and, should you need it, a laundry service at a reasonable price. Lisez la suite

We had a number of questions and the staff provided every answer we needed. The room was in very good shape and teh buffet breakfast wonderful.

THE HOTEL WAS IN AN EXCELLENT LOCATION,IF NOT IN WALKING DISTANCE TO SIGHTS ,THEN ONLY A SHORT TAXI RIDE.THE STAFF WAS FRIENDLY,CORDIAL,WILLING TO HELP WITH ANY PROBLEM AND NO LANGUAGE BARRIER.WE NOTIFIED THE DESK OF AN EARLY WAKE UP CALL.HE ASKED OUR DESTINATION AND SAID A TAXI WILL BE WAITING .AS WE EXITIED THE ELEVATOR WE WERE MET BY THE TAXI DRIVER […] (DRESSED IN A SUIT AND TIE ) ,WHO HANDLED OUR LUGGAGE. THIS WAS NOT A HOTEL LIMO,BUT A REGULAR TAXI DRIVER.THIS WAS OUR FIRST TRIP TO POLAND IN SEARCH OF LONG LOST RELATIVES,WHICH WE LOCATED,OUR RETURN TRIP IS SCHEDULED FOR NEXT SEPTEMBER.SAME HOTEL SAME DRIVER I HOPE. An excellent hotel with a superb breakfast and our restaurant meal was the best we'd had in Europe. The hotel is located directly across from a very modern shopping center. Staff was very accommodating, spoke excellent English and the wait staff couldn't do enough for us. Highly recommended. N&D, Hamilton, Ontario, Canada

This hotel was in an excellent location on a quiet street which ran between 2 busy streets. It was walking distance to most of the city sites. It was also across the street from an entrance to a major shopping centre which in turn connected to the railway station. I ate in the hotel restaurant and it was good and reasonably priced. The room did not include breakfast and breakfast was very expensive but also very nice. Our room was clean and the location was very good. The only unfortunate thing was as we were getting settled in the room a member of the housekeeping staff just walked in with no warning and used the phone with no explanation. The hotel was great, clean, close to a big mall, easy to find and the employees spoke English. The only complaint I had was they need better sound proofing, I could hear everything other guests said while walking down the hallway from my room. They also had an event going on the first floor. I called the front to see if they knew what time the party would be over but they were no help at all the response I got was I do not know. I was very disappointed. I had an early flight and wanted to get some sleep, and that didn’t happen. Also during check out, the person who checked me out did NOT ask how my stay was… and lastly do not go for the buffet breakfast…89 zloty…outrageous. Overall the hotel was acceptable. The rooms were large and comfortable with a mini fridge. The Gym was acceptable for a Holiday Inn. The in room internet was overpriced however they do have free internet access in the lobby close to the bar. The largest and most modern mall in Warsaw is right across the street so you have a large selection of shopping […] and restaurants close by. From the airport you can take bus 175 and it drops you off in front of the central train station and it’s a short walk to the hotel from there (less than a dollar for the bus, a taxi was about $20) Lisez la suite

The Warsaw holiday inn is very Westernized. Great hot tub and sauna. Convenient location in Warsaw and close to stuff. The Polish aren't that friendly though. When I approached the front desk for taxi service and questions, they always seemed bothered and busy. TIP: Don't pay the internet in your room, there is free Wi-Fi in the lobby area, which is […] a big lobby with comfortable couches if you have your own laptop. Ask the front desk for the password to the Wi-Fi connection. To moj drugi pobyt w tym hotelu ale chyba ostatni - na stronie internetowej była informacja, ze mozna meldowac sie od godziny 12 jednak jest to pomyłka czas zameldowania to 14. Musialem czekac 2 godziny poczym poinformowano mnie ze jeszcze nie ma gotowego pokoju - posprzatany pokoj znalazl sie dopiero o 14:30 - jeszcze nigdy w zadnym hotelu nie przytrafiło […] mi sie tak długie oczekiwanie na wolny pokoj. Niewątpliwą i najwiekszą zaletą Hotelu Holiday Inn jest lokalizacja. W centrum, bardzo blisko PKiN, vis a vis Złotych Tarasów. Hotel czysty, zadbany z dobrą obsługą. Pokój średniej wielkości ( w zupełności wystarczyła) schludnie urządzone, czysty, jasny. Na duży plus zasługują wygodne łóżka oraz mozliwość wyboru rodzaju poduszek. Отель совсем рядом с вокзалом, дворцом науки (который и был нам нужен) и станцией метро. В номере все замечательно, но не было шампуня (только гель для душа), а также TV на русском языке. Убирали каждый день. Завтрак чрезвычайно дорогой, но за углом кафе, которое работает рано с утра.

Trevligt hotell med ett shoppingcentrum alldeles intill. Gångavstånd (om man vill ha en promenad) till gamla stan. Hutlös dyr frukost.

Jeg kender hotelet i mange år men hver gang jeg kommer så oplever jeg at udstyr i rummet er mere beskedne, er der ingen store håndklæder, badekåber, toiletartikler. Jeg ved, at jeg kan ringe og spørge, men det er ikke praktisk, hvis jeg kommer til hotellet om natten efter en lang rejse, og jeg er træt. Et hotel med rigitg god beliggenhed, god service og komfortable værelser. Man skal blot krydse vejen for at befinde sig i Zlote Tarasy hvor man finder alt hvad man har brug for. Husk dog egen tandpasta, den er ikke at finde på værelset. Det er nok også en god idé at finde et alternativ til den forholdsvis dyre og knapt så imponerende morgenmad. Hvis […] man har tidlige forretningsmøder og ønsker en kop kaffe med lidt mad til, så anbefales det herfra at finde noget andet. Wybralismy ten hotel kierujac sie lokalozacja i czasem meldowani- 12 w puludnie do zameldowania byla dla nas wielka wygoda. W okolicy hotelu brak pubow i restauracji. Co prawda jest tam blisko centrum handlowe ( i jest to super jesli ktos planuje duze zakupy) ale po jego zamknieciu nie ma wyboryu i trzeba isc daleko zeby dostac cos do jedzenia. Holiday Inn Warsaw er det godt hotel placeret meget centralt i Warszawa. Så hvis denne beliggenhed er i centrum for turen kan dette hotel anbefales. Værelset rent og til trods for beliggenheden ikke plaget af støj. Eneste hickup... morgenmaden og adgang til Internet koster mere end 80 PLN.

Large room with ugly bathroom. location is very good and nice stuff. To expensive car parking.

Good location next to the cultural palace and one of the biggest shopping malls in Warszaw. Very expensive breakfast buffe however and not a particularly good one. Staff is overwhelmed.
