Idéalement situé au nord d'une des principales artères de la ville, non loin du marché et du quartier chinois. Laverie à côté, c'est commode.

Bel hôtel, bien situé avec tram et bus gratuits vers le centre de la ville en 10 mn. Possibilité de laver son linge et de le sécher. Moderne, propreté des chambres et lieux communs, personnel de la réception compétent et aimable, petits déjeuners continentaux très bons et copieux, rien à redire si ce n'est que la chambre était un peu juste en taille pour les 3 lits une personne. Malgré tout je pourrais y retourner et je le recommande !

L'hôtel est très bien situé à Melbourne, à 5 min à pied de Central Station (gare), le tramway passe juste devant (dont la ligne gratuite). L'aménagement est moderne et l'accueil professionnel. L'appartement studio est vraiment grand avec une partie cuisine et une partie salon dans la pièce principale, la chambre à part avec salle de bain attenante. Cette dernière est immense avec une grande douche (adaptée aux personnes handicapées). L'équipement est très complet avec machine à laver et sèche linge, planche à repasser, cuisine tout équipée (dont micro-onde). Le petit déjeuner est en revanche plutôt décevant : il consiste en un bon pour une boisson et un plat au café attenant à l'hôtel. Le choix de petit déjeuner sucrés y est limité.

Très bien , un peu loin du centre ville mais très confortable, très bon petit déjeuner qui était inclus avec hôtel.com et wifi gratuit

"Good Value Hotel in Convenient Location"
The hotel is in a very convenient location for the City and surrounding areas. There are plenty of transport options around. The room itself was a bit tired and could do with a fix up but it was clean and comfortable. Reception staff was very friendly and helpful.

We just returned from a 3 night stay at the Welcome Hotel. The hotel is a little noisy but I think for what we paid it was good value. The staff were helpful but some staff could use some tips in service with a smile, on the most part they were all great. The hotel is right in the heart of the CBD and close to so much shopping its great for a shopping […] trip The rooms were made up daily which was nice but are the rooms quite small which is fine if you dont spend much time in your room. "Very Basic Room"
Booked Double Room and it is really a very basic cosy room. The common corridor is very narrow and u can feel uneasy walking along. Sound proof is not so good, I can hear the music/tv from the room next door. However the location is pretty good, so if u just need a place to sleep, this will be fine for you.

breakfast was good, we stayed for three nights and there was no variation, ok for a short time but may have been bored if staying for longer! room served its purpose as a place to sleep after a long days sight seeing. bathroom door was a bit odd, just a sliding mechanism difficult to close - not great if you want privacy.

I was extremely impressed with the standard of the hotel re: staff disposition & efficiency, cleanliness & condition & position in the city. I was impressed enough to write to the management congratulating them on the standard they displayed. I also asked them to make sure that the staff were also made aware of my pleasure at their happy & helpful disposition […] toward myself. It made my stay so much nicer. The management responded to my email , told me that my thank you message was to be posted on staff information board so that they also knew of my appreciation at their level of care. They also expressed their thank you for my feed back on the Hotel & the staff. I believe that when good service is given it is right to acknowledge it. "Yes decor needs updating and yes"
room could do with a clean (mouldy bathroom roof and tiles) but great central location. Agee very noisy, air conditioning, fridge we turned off to get to sleep. Also on top floor we could hear something noisy on roof. Maybe generator or something. Lift is a bit dodgy, lots of people went to many different floors before it worked for them! But being […] on the top floor we didn't have a choice not to use it. But we knew all this from previous reviews and went for the great location, easy to walk anywhere. The hotel staffs were very polite and helpful. The housekeeping was excellent. Security was excellent. Ideal location for shopping, food and entertainment. Easy access to public transportation.

This hotel is in a fab location, no-one can deny it's convenient for shoppers, workers, sightseers, etc. The bed was fine - so as a place to rest your head it's a perfect bet. I stayed for one night on business, got a good rate including a buffet breakfast which was good quality, standard fayre. The room was clean and presentable, recently refurbished, the only downsides were a rather ordinary wardrobe and a rust spot on the bath where some of the enamel had been chipped off. "Good location but not up to Mercure standards"
Pretty outdated. Have been to other Mercure hotels and they were way flashier than that. Great location but expect an average, clean, outdated hotel with narrow corridors, no wi-fi and an expensive breakfast buffet ($20)
Having just stayed in another City Hotel that was far below par; we were extremely happy to move into this one. The room was clean and well above expectations. The breakfast was included and was excellent.

Great central location, right in the middle of the city. Room was basic and served the purpose. Melbourne has so much to offer so you wont be in your hotel room much anyway.

Great location and central to downtown, in the heart of Chinatown. If you can stand construction noise, it's a great hotel; but for the price during construction next door, I'd think twice.

Chose the hotel because it was a bargain and didn't expect anything due to all the reviews & photos but was surprise with how close it was to shopping, downtown attractions & restaurants. Room was clean & big enough for a couple. There's a charge for internet but could get free access from a nearby McDonald.

Great location, bit tired looking but comfortable bed. Very noisy air conditioner so turned it off and then a bit stuffy. Overall ok because of the great location. Staff also were very helpful and courteous.

Check in was very slow, waited over 15 minutes. They had run ourt of wifi coupons ($10/day), so they only offered $27/day cable connection! Carpet and curtains were dirty, Bathroom OK, although there was a large piece of enamel that had broken off. Towels were very thin.
