Our room was very spacious, with a sitting area, microwave, and refrigerator. Shared a room with my sister, and we found it to be very comfortable. We enjoyed the upscale mall area across the highway--an excellent cupcake place and a nail salon we were happy with. The location was excellent for us--a nice, clean, safe area not too far from DFW airport. […] The only thing we missed was having a crockpot of oatmeal available at breakfast instead of packets of instant oatmeal. This is a nice hotel to stay! It is far away from the central part of Dallas. But surrounding neighborhood is really good. Zero gravity park is reasonably close...

The stay was fine. Getting there was somewhat trickier! We phoned the shuttle as directed. A shuttle arrived which was going to Wingate but when we got there it turned out to be the wrong one! There are two Wingates in the airport area and we had been taken to the wrong one and the shuttle driver had left! It was after midnight and we had been travelling […] for 24 hours. But the good news was that Carlos, the check-in clerk from the first one took us to the correct Wingate!! So Carlos is the Number One Wingate employee in our book!! Although the website says they provide airport shuttle service, it is NOT 24-hour service. I picked this hotel because of its proximity to the airport and was counting on their shuttle service. When we checked in and I told them we would need a ride to the airport for our 6:15 am flight they informed me we would have to use a taxi because their shuttle […] service didn't start until 8:00 am! Nice hotel with pretty good breakfast options included in room pricing. My only complaint is that the side door never locked and anyone could walk in whenever they chose without a key. Other than that I was very happy with my stay

My sons and I were only in Dallas for one night, but our hotel stay was great. It was close to where we needed to be, but most importantly - they LOVED the breakfast; which I thought was great because I didn't have to deal with IHOP. Thank you!

Main reason to choose this hotel was the airport shuttle. Well, you NEED TO CALL THE HOTEL TO GET SOMEONE TO PICK YOU UP AT THE AIRPORT. When you are traveling from other countries sometimes you don't have the currency and the credit cards won't work on the public phones... so very inconvenient. I needed a room for an overnight layover at DFW so I picked a close low cost hotel near the airport with shuttle service. I just wanted a bed and a shuttle but I only ended up getting the bed. Their shuttle service ends at 8:00 pm and doesn't start in the morning until 7:00 am. I arrived at 7:15 pm, got my luggage, passed through customs, and went to […] the hotel shuttle spot. There was none there so I called the hotel at 8:04 pm and was told that their shuttle service ended at 8:00. I took a cab to the hotel ($28 with tip) and tried to arrange a shuttle back in the morning. I was informed by the desk clerk that the first shuttle started at 7:00 am. I had an 8:00 am flight so that was cutting it too close. I had to hire a taxi to get a ride back to the airport for a flat rate of $40 so the cab fare ended up costing me more than the hotel room. If you just need a room this hotel is fine. If you need transportation to the airport stay somewhere else. Lisez la suite

First, I would recommend this hotel to anyone going to Irving! I drove up 4 hours from Houston only to find I booked the wrong day. The hotel was nice enough to change the booking and give me a bed for the night. They even looked up an address for me to get a car charger for my phone as I had left my charger at home. The room looked amazing when I got […] to it. Aside from a few weird spots on the couch and something weird on the desk chair, this place was great! I had a fridge, a microwave, nice tv, and a couch. Even better was that the alarm clock worked and was easy to set. I was disappointed in my fellow lodgers who were up loudly roaming the halls after 1 am. They made it hard to sleep. I arrived at the hotel a day earlier than my reservation and they were able to get me into my room a day early with no problem. The location is very convenient to attend an event at the Irving Convention Center. Many Restaurants and other amenities are a couple blocks away within walking distance if need be. The room was very comfortable and not cramped like some rooms so I had more than enough room for all that I brought with me. If I attend any event in the local area again I will be staying here! The beds have no comforter or bed spread on them, just sheets. There are 4 small pillows for the bed no bigger than a large throw pillow. Other than this, I like the hotel. It's very convenient and priced well.

The Wingate was located right off of the highway, set in the midst of other nicer hotels and what appear to be condos or apartments. Had made reservations early and asked for two rooms - one needing a crib. When we arrived, no crib. Asked for one again and was told it would be in the room on our return. Went to be with family and when we returned with two very tired and worn out with two very tired Christmas children, there was still no crib. I had to go to the desk again and finally […] it was sent to the room. I was disappointed that the clerk informed me that she was doing all she could do (that was that morning when we first checked in and the hotel seemed pretty empty - Christmas Eve).
