Omni Jacksonville Hotel - Jacksonville

The hotel is accross the street from the concert hall making it convienent for a weekend out. The bar and restaurant are very nice and quiet to relax in. Also just off the I-95 and right in town.

I was very, very pleased with this hotel. Although I only stayed one night, the staff was very friendly and helpful, the rooms was very clean and roomy, and the hotel was directly across the street from the popular Jacksonville Landing. I definitely would stay here again and I will recommend it to others!

I have stayed at hotels, motels and B&B's all over the world, including the Waldorf Astoria in Manhattan. If you are seeking accomodations with a staff that will graciously attend to practically every whim, this hotel is for you. In my experience, it was world-class service at its finest. I was also pleased with my upgrade, and only slightly disappointed […] because of the location. Their professional photos gave me the impression that they are located alongside the river. They are not, though I could see the river from between the buildings. However, the simple elegance of the hotel, the attentive service, and the cleanliness made up for the somewhat missing view. We stayed here for three days in July and it was awesome. The staff was friendly and really ready to help. The food we got from room service was so incrediblly good, we actually ordered dinner three nights in a row. Amazing, truly. And the server who brought our food was the best. She made me feel like a regular. I only gave it "4" in two categories […] because the carpet was a little worn in places, but it wasn't a detractor. My husband and I were going to a concert on a Friday night so I surprised him with a 2-night stay at your hotel. It was so convenient to the venue and nearby Jacksonville Landing. We walked to all places, enjoyed the pool, and hotel's restaurant. It was a perfect weekend.

You will find very nice staff from the minute you arrive and through out your stay. If your thinking about staying here think no more this hotel is great.....

I picked this hotel thinking that this would be more upscale then my normal marriot stays. I Was wrong i had asked them to set my room up with flowers and some bubbly.. when i got there they did everything i asked for but it looked like someone opened the door and threw rose pedals on the floor and walked out.. they also had the metal pale next to the […] tv and there was water dripping down to the floor. we had paid for vallet.....and when we went to call them to have the car ready none of the 3 phones on the room worked... we did talk to the manager who was very very nice. he gave us a new room and redid the rose pedals and some how we actually got differet color rose pedals this time and they were not just thrown on the floor from the door. the veiw from the new room was great. i would stay again but never ever for a special occasion. Omni Hotel Jacksonville very tastefully decorated. Very smart. Staff were some of the friendliest I have ever met. Some of the staff even remembered my name without prompting. Nothing was too much trouble. Comfy bed. Quiet.

Overall, the hotel staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and it is close the Jacksonville Landing. It is also quite a bit cheaper than nearby hotels.

I chose this hotel because it was a bit cheaper than my nearby conference hotel. It was clean, comfortable, quiet, friendly, and breakfast wasn't a small fortune ($11 for continental in the dining room, as I recall). Suited my needs quite well.

This hotel gets an A for location, because it was within walking distance to the Landing. The hotel was nice, but we thought that the parking fees were unreasonable and the room service fees were very high, and they charged me $2 more for a bottle of water than I could have gotten out of the wet-bar in the room. The TV was horrible. It was a 25" square […] screen, which cut off the outsides of the picture and we had a hard time reading the words on the screen from the bed, and I have 20/15 vision. For the money that we paid, the name of the hotel, and the decor of the hotel, we thought that there would have been a TV that was purchased sometime after 1995. Lisez la suite

The hotel staff was excellent. The location is in downtown Jacksonville. Good for business trips but not a good location if you're planning to come for a vacation as there is not much close by walking distance except for banks and financial buildings. Enjoyed our stay at the Omni. Service was great. Room was great. We were in town for a concert at Veterans Memorial and it was a great location. They provided transportation for $5 a person. The Landing is accross the street. Fun trip.

The only negative was, a lack of nice restaurants in the area around the hotel.

Beds were terrible, very uncomfortable. Lots of banging could be heard late and when I finally went to sleep the fire alarm went off at 3 am. The alarm only went off in my room scared my 3 yr old to death and we never went back to sleep. No one ever said a word to us. I'll never return.

Excellent service. Employees are extremely helpful and caring. One minor problem that was solved immediately: the floor vacuum made our room shake. The TV should be updated . Location is outstanding

The Jacksonville Omni was directly across the street from the concert hall we saw John Mellencamp, Rockin show,within walking distance to many restaurants and bars. There was self-parking for only $5.00 directly behind the hotel Room was clean and comfortable with a slight view of the river. The Hotel was beautiful. The service was great and the staff were very pleasant and professional. A great place to stay.

From first walking in the door, every employee greeted me! It took me a while to get used to this friendliness - must be that southern hospitality! My husband and I are musicians and had to be at a performance across the street at The Times Union Center and we needed a convenient location for grandma to watch our 2-year old. This couldn't have been […] more convenient! There are lots of restaurants just across the street along the beautiful river. We parked in the lot next door and were only steps from the hotel and could even see our car from our room on the 11th floor. Besides being convenient, this was one of our best hotel experiences - ever! Not only was everyone friendly and welcoming, but a hotel lady showed up later in the evening with a plate of warm chocolate chip cookies and bottled water. She knew we had a young child and thought it would make the evening nice. Where do you find that treatment these days? The facilities were very nice and well maintained. The only minimal thing I could complain about is that our toilet didn't always shut off after flushing - we just had to remember to shake the handle when needed. Not a big deal! Another nice touch were decanters of ice cold water with lemons and limes in the lobby! Very nice! I highly recommend this hotel! Lisez la suite

I would expect more luxury in a Hotel with the Omni name. I did not see it as a cut above other hotels.

Hotel was very nice but no micro or fridge in room. Were offered a key to the wet bar but we do not drink so never go the key. Not sure if there was room for my leftovers. I don't have a complaint about electronics, but my husband would have liked a flat screen tv. Overall everything was very nice. Lemon/lime water in lobby was great.

The Omni is a very nice hotel. The check-in process was quick and front desk clerk courteous. Rooms are large and comfortable with a good view of downtown. The rooms are quiet with no outdoor noise and almost no hallway noise. The bed and pillows were comfortable. The only thing keeping it from the firth star is parking. As with almost any of the hotels […] on the East side of downtown Jacksonville, parking is expensive and not close. The nearby parking garage was $12 per day and valet service was $18 per day. They strive for plush accommodations and nearly reach it with four of five stars (five being the highest). Overall I would have no second thoughts or reservations about staying again when I return. Very Clean and neat. Restaurant actually had a great buffet with great service. Convenient to Restaurants, shopping, and other attractions. The Hotel was ALOT nicer than I expected. Staff was friendly and helpful! Would stay at the Omni again.

This is s great choice for a stay in Jacksonville. The location offers good access to downtown (which seems over built and under populated) and the San Marco area across the river. The staff is helpful and friendly. The hotel is very nice with attractive rooms and common areas.

I forgot some clothing when I left. I called a couple days later. They located the items and arranged to FedEx them to me. I was very happy with the staff's readiness to provide good customer service.

This hotel was not a cheap deal, but we were very satisfied with both our room and the staff. Never having visited Jacksonville before we were not sure what to expect, and we were disappointed that the Jacksonville Landing was really just another mall. This would be fine for a business meeting or a convention. If I was vacationing in this area again, […] I would travel a few miles down the coast to St Augustine, which is more of a tourist area. The Omni Jacksonville was by far the finest hotel at which we have ever stayed. The service, all aspects, was beyond our expectations, the room was beautifully furnished and even the food, both room service and Juliette's cafe in the hotel lobby, was above and beyond what we expected.
