"Melia Colbert Hotel: a jewel in the heart of Paris"
What an amazing last-minute find as I extended a business trip spent in a top hotel at La Defense and moved into the Latin Quarter. This jewel was more impressive than the Sofitel, much better value, easy to find near Notre Dame and set back off the street. I had only been able to book twin beds online, but once there the helpful receptionist upgraded […] (for free) to a delightful attic room, in what was once the apartments of Simone De Beauvoir. Quiet, cosy, well-stocked and tastefully furnished, this hotel was the perfect backdrop for a wonderful trip.
"Walk Around Winner"
Enjoyed the location and the locale. Were able to walk to so many historically significant sites, it made the getting there all that much more enjoyable. The hotel rooms are 'cozy' but functional. The breakfast had variety and style. The staff was ever-accommodating. It made our visit to Paris more enjoyable.Avis véridique Hotels.com
Overall ok but we had a few minor issues: 1)We were told our room was ready upon check in but when we went up to our room there was a maintenance card on the door and when we entered there were two hotel employees in the room; I'm not sure why they were there. 2)the room had a bad odor when we arrived. 3)There was not an adaptor (to convert European […] to American electric plug) at the front desk. The clerk told me he had just given the last two out. This was understandable, but when I noticed a charger right on the front desk and asked if I could charge my phone for 15 minutes, I was made to feel this would be inconvenient for him. To be clear he did not refuse but I did not insist and made other arrangements. 3)The hotel told me there was free coffee in the morning. One morning I asked where it was and they told me downstairs (in the cafe). So I went downstairs and asked and they told me it was upstairs, So I went upstairs and told them what happened and they sent the coffee up to my room. So I would say that the staff is not overly helpful initially but to their credit they try to make up for this later. Lisez la suiteAvis véridique Hotels.com

"Convenient and close to all the must see sights ."
We enjoyed our stay very much in this most quaint french hotel. The staff were delightful and eager to make our stay a pleasure. We could not fault it. The breakfasts to commence our day terrific both in taste and presentation not to mention service. The hotel situated in the tourist area and public transport easy to obtain from this point. "Great location for walking Paris"
Fantastic, is the only word that can be used to describe the Cobert Boutique Hotel. Great location near Notre Dame, Latin Quarter and Lourve. Nice rooms especially for Paris, very good breakfast and excellent staff. We registered for the Melia 1/2 price breakfast program and got breakfast for free for one and the other full price. Food is plenty for […] both breakfast and early lunch so no need to eat again until dinner. Lisez la suiteAvis véridique Expedia

We really enjoyed our stay. The location was brilliant...close to the metro, key sights, good restaurants, etc. Hotel room was very nice. Staff was very friendly.Avis véridique Hotels.com
"Beautiful little hotel"
I love the location of this hotel right next to Notre Dame. Some rooms have views of it as well. I found the staff very friendly and helpful. I came early for check in and they were willing to change my room (upgrade) in order to have me get into a room right away. Breakfast is very nice in the basement. The lobby is very classy. Hallways are narrow […] and the rooms are relatively small. Not sure about the 4 star rating, but it is nice. Lisez la suiteAvis véridique Hotels.com
"Great hotel for family"
We loved this hotel and the city of Paris. We visited with our 7 and 9 year old children for two days and had a wonderful time. The hotel staff were very accomodating and spoke excellent English. Our room, 54, was a two room suite to accomdate our family and was more than enough room. We even received complimentary champagne and chocolates at night. […] The hotel is perfectly situated a block from Notre Dame within a few blocks of wonderful cafes. We walked from the hotel along the Seine River to the Louvre where we spent a few hours (buy tickets on-line before you leave because the ticket line was dreadful). Then we walked all the way to the Arc de Triumph along the Champs Elsyees. We can't wait to return one day. Lisez la suiteAvis véridique Expedia
"charming hotel with courteous, helpful staff"
We would absolutely stay at this well situated hotel that lies between two metro stops and around endless restaurants plus highly rated food stores. The staff was attentive, making several restaurant reservations for us as well as personalized breakfasts. They were always pleasant. Two minor, picky things. The hotel decor could do with updating; it […] comes across as old and in need of attention although cleanliness is in no way affected. Also, the chain is owned by a Spanish firm so the computer defaults to the Spanish Google search page and will not pick up the English. I'm also not sure that the settings include removing all the cookies on closing so I would not use the computer for anything secure or for a standard e-mail account, just an an ancillary one. We would stay here again. Lisez la suiteAvis véridique Hotels.com
"Room with a view of Notre Dame"
Our family,10 of us, spent a wonderful week in Paris. The Melia Colbert was perfect for all our needs. The staff went out of their way to be helpful as our french is not that great and the location worked well for getting around by water taxi, bus, metro, taxi or just walking.Avis véridique Hotels.com
"Perfect for a one day stay - with two nights"
We were in London and had an extra day so we did a two night and one very long day in Paris. This Hotel is perfect for seeing Paris in a day. The staff was delightful and very helpful. We started out day at 8 am and ended it at midnight and we back on the train to London at 9 am the following morning.Avis véridique Expedia
"Great boutique hotel experience."
The hotel is well situated. The room was small but well appointed and as advertised. As a small, boutique, it did not have full concierge service, but the staff was very helpful and were able to assist as needed. Very enjoyable experience.Avis véridique Expedia

What a wonderfully located hotel. The staff was amazing - they noticed that my friend had his arm in a sling as he broke his shoulder during our trip and immediately helped with luggage and cabs.Avis véridique Hotels.com

"Lovely Boutique Hotel"
This was our second stay at the Melia Colbert. The street is very quiet in the and close to many dining options. Both times we stayed, we had a lovely view of Notre Dame from our window and enjoyed hearing the bells ring atAvis véridique Expedia

Incredible location, helpful and friendly staff and a comfortable standard room. My only complaint was the price of minibar items and absence of in-room coffee making appliances.Avis véridique Expedia
"Romantic weekend away"
Upon arrival to the hotel I was pleased with the overall look of the hotel. Once inside the front desk attendee spoke fluent english and went out of his way to explain where all major attractions were on our courtesy tourist map. "Wonderful hotel"
I thought Melia Colbert was magical. A beautiful hotel, in a beautiful location, with an extremely gracious staff. I would go there again in a heartbeat.Avis véridique Hotels.com
Staff very helpful and courteous - nothing was too much trouble. Room spotless and comfortable, although we had to open the window at night as the room was too warm. Location good - very close to Notre Dame, which contrary to what we were told could not actually be seen from our room, unless you were hanging out the window, when you could see just the […] spires. Located down a quiet side street with lots of restaurants and cafes nearby - the receptionist drew a very helpful and accurate map with recommendations. Would definitely return. "Close to Notre-dome"
I think it is a nice hotel located in tourist area of Paris. The rooms are small and the toilet and bathroom are in two different rooms. It is a good hotel in EU standards but not a fancy one in US standards. I was on my own but I do not think it is a good hotel for family as the rooms are too small. Very nice and helpful staff and free internet.Avis véridique Hotels.com

"Celebration"
The location of the hotel is good. Staff on reception helpful and friendly.Room had view of the butresses of Notre Dame. However room was so cold it was unbearable. The air conditioning remains on when electronic key not inserted so on return late at night the room was freezing and it took all night to get to a tolerable temperature. Reception found […] two more duvets for my friend and I otherwise it would have been impossible to sleep without remaining fully dressed. I have travelled in Europe extensively and this was the coldest I have ever been in winter months. It totally marred my stay and for the cost which was expensive I was extremely dissatisfied. "Melia Colbert Boutique Hotel Paris"
This hotel ticked all the boxes for a stay in Paris. The convenience of its location, close to many of the splendid sights of the Latin quarter, easy walking distance to the metro and in a very quiet location helped to make our stay in Paris a wonderful experience. One small thing was the lack of ability to control the heating in the bedroom at night, […] but comfort otherwise was excellent , staff very pleasant and breakfast excellent. "Good location; service; and value"
Our room had a view of the Notre Dame Cathedral. The Latin Quarter location is excellent- like a neighborhood where you can run out to a local grocery store or pharmacy for simple items. In fact the porter walked me to the street corner outside the hotel to point out the grocery store location!! Clean, bright, amiable staff. I would recommend to fr […] iends. "We'd stay again!!!"
We arrived early morning and as our room was not ready (check-in is at 2:00) they offered us an upgrade to a larger room without the view.I would have hated to see how small our initial room was as this upgrade to a larger room was still quite small, then again everything is squishy in Paris. The Notre Dame was so close to the hotel losing the view […] from our initial booking didn't matter, we saw it every day in our toing and froing. The hotel is situated well. Close to the Sienne so catching the Batobus was a breeze.Lots of Cafes and Restuarants and shoppping close by. The hotel is located in a quiet side street so there was no noise from the hussle and bussle from just around the corner. The staff were courteous and helpful and spoke English well which was a bonus as our French was minimal. A special thank you to Sabastian and Antonio. The bedding was extremely comfortable, the bathroom a bit squishy but more than adequate and clean and the free wi-fi particularly useful. Breakfast was just right, a nice variety to choose from and very pleasant and helpful staff. Lisez la suiteAvis véridique Expedia

"Overall very good"
Hotel lovely, very good service. I doubt if any of the rooms had a decent view of the Notre Dame. Our room was almost on the corner of the hotel which did give us a partial view of the church which was fine but to sell it as having views is a little misleading. Breakfast very expensive BUT I would return as it is in a great position and has all of the […] above to recommend it and is very well furnished and light. Lisez la suiteAvis véridique Expedia
"Old-fashioned smal-room hotel"
The hotel is located at a very heart of the Latin Quarter, which give a brilliant opportunity to easily access many places of interest in Paris. It has no sightseeing views from windows though as is located among closely standing buildings in a narrow streets intersection. The hotel looks like it has been updated rather long ago and some refurbishment […] would go well for it. Rooms are small as it is inherent to such historic hotels of the old style. "Melia Cobert Boutique Hotel near Notre Dame"
Well located, clean and value-priced with helpful staff. Lobby internet access was erratic during our stay; we didn't buy a room with cable access. Be careful in buying the hotel breakfast: it's good, but pricey, even if you remember to sign up for their loyalty program that results in a discount.Avis véridique Hotels.com
"Hotel Melia Colbert"
Excellent value, in the Latin quarter. This is a great location if you enjoy walking Paris. Very close to the RER station in from the airport. We walked everywhere, even the Eiffel tower was only a 50 min walk. Great restaurants within a 5 minute walk or less, not tourist traps but really great food. The room was great, pillow perfect. Only improvement […] I could think of was if there had been a dresser in the room. We were there for 4 nights, and that was a bit of a challenge. Lisez la suiteAvis véridique Hotels.com
"Internet"
The hotel was lovely, easy walking distance to many metro lines and the red bus tour line. There was a cool coffee shop on the corner. My only compliant is the internet. The front desk ran out of 30 minute cards, the one computer that is in the lobby was difficult to use, (european keyboard). If it's not a burden on the hotel's costs, I highly recommend […] to their owners that they include a reasonable wireless package for their hotel guests. Lisez la suiteAvis véridique Hotels.com

"Great choice near Notre Dame."
We love staying at the Melia Le Colbert. A great little hotel in a great location, just across from Notre Dame (we could actually see a bit of Notre Dame from our room window). The staff is very helpful and seem to really understand service. My only complaint about the hotel is that there is no Wifi service. This isn't enough reason not to stay here, […] but I do wish the hotel would upgrade by getting wifi installed. Please note that they do have cable internet hook-up in the room, but this is no help if you have an iPad. Lisez la suiteAvis véridique Hotels.com
"Very nice but it could be better"
We liked the hotel very much but we found that, like in many hotels in Europe, there are things that could be a lot better. Maintenance in the bathroon was poor and take a shower became a whole new experience dealing with the shower trying not to get water all around the bathroom. Air conditioning is general and we had no chance to regulate temperature […] inside the room. So to ccol down a little and get fresh air we had to open the window. The problem is that when you open the window becomes very noisy. Everything else was in line with our expectations. Breakfast is quite complete and service very good. This is a place I would recommend with no doubt and is very well located. Lisez la suiteAvis véridique Expedia
