Magnifique chateau dans la campagne anglaise.. Excellents petits déjeuners. Restaurant correct. Malheureusement le service n'est pas à la hauteur du lieu et fait souvent preuve d'amateurisme.Excellent séjour malgrè tout

Hôtel très charmant, tout confort, le Patron et sa femme sont fort sympathiques, les chambres sont décorées avec gout , il y a tout ce qui faut pour passer un agréable séjour. Nous sommes tombés sous le charme de ce petit hôtel. je vous le recommande vivement.

Not really impressed - this was my fifth stay here and the service has gone downhill. Reception were more concerned with answering calls from colleagues than actually helping me get access to my room. Was ignored by the staff in the gym when trying to get access. "A hotel with potential BUT..."
The receptionist insisted we had booked room only but I was able to download the original booking which clearly stated B&B. Two rooms were not available. One smelt awful - a musky smell as if the room hadn't been used for weeks. Cleaning staff were on duty and tried to assist despite their broken English, but the chap on reception claimed he couldn't […] smell anything but that he’d spray the room and managed to spray the wrong room!!! Another room had a shower with no power and the same chap tried to convince us it was perfectly normal. It was like dealing with Manuel from Faulty Towers. There had been a wedding the previous evening and some guests were leaving early. Unfortunately, the coach was right outside our friends bedroom window and it revved up for 15 mins before going! Service was slow - more than 5 minutes and several reminders to get some cold water, reception already mentioned and a member of the breakfast room staff told my colleague that "chef isn't making any more orange juice as he has already cut more than 200 oranges this morning". However, breakfast was excellent. There was lots of choice, hot food was hot and the toaster made decent toast. It’s well located for the Cotswolds provided you have a car, the gardens and grounds at the back are lovely and overlook a golf course. It's a lovely walk to the top of the hill behind! "Convenient and comfortable"

Generally I enjoyed the stay, especially as the reason was a family reunion. However the one failing was the restaurant. The evening meal quality was poor, especially as it was not cheap. "Stairs and steps"
Lovely interior, warm welcome, delightful staff especially during the sandwich lunch while waited for our room as we arrived early. Room was bit tired and tiny, but did only pay for a single. Food was pricey unless you had the single thing that was on a 'deal'. Bit of a run around being sent from the restaurant to the bar to achieve the 'deal'. Wi-fi didnt work on my ipad but did on my lap top. Breakfast luke warm. Very convenient for Cheltenham. Excellent therapists, I highly recommend the full body massage. The hotel itself was set in lboely grounds. Hotel was fine however room 120 is right next to the extraction fans which are extremely noisy. Noise does not normally stop me sleeping but this did which I reported twice to reception. They advised these stop at 11pm but they were still working at 3am!!Avis véridique Hotels.com

"A Night at the Races"
Hotel was booked for a Christmas party at Cheltenham Racecourse. Taxis were £10 there and £15 back. Hotel itself was really good but does look a bit tired - the bathroom was clean but would benefit from a refit. We stayed here for just 1 night as we were attending an event in Cheltenham. The hotel is very welcoming & set in beautiful surroundings. Unfortunately, the first thing that hit you is the heat! My goodness, it was like a sauna in the whole hotel! The staff are brilliant, so welcoming & friendly. Besides the unbearable heat throughout the hotel, the […] rooms were very clean albeit a little tatty for a 4 star hotel. However, I got the room through a good deal via Expedia, so we can't grumble. Perhaps they put us in one of the more further away, older, rooms due to our cheaper rate. I had to use a fan in our room as it was almost unbearable at night AND when I used the hairdryer! This is great for a quick stopover but sadly the food was simply appalling. What a let-down, especially charging 4 star prices (around £18 for a main) for 1 star cuisine quality. It was just dreadful. Tasteless & lukewarm. The breakfast was the same, lukewarm with food as tough as old boots on the side! The drinks are also very expensive & no bar snacks available at the bar, when we were still peckish after 10pm, due to the disappointing dinner. I didn’t get to see the pool and spa facilities but that may sway things for some, but don’t expect quality food. Great for a quick stay, but maybe best in winter! I was so looking forward to a very luxurious stay at the Barcelo Cheltenham Park Hotel. The view of the hotel was taken from the Golf Course behind the hotel. The actual hotel is on a main road. The two rooms cost alot of money for one nights stay and have to admit that I was more than disappointed with what we got for that. The room standard is about […] a 3* not a 4* as described. "Quite tired and not up to standard"
On arrival we were put into an economy room which is on the lower floor which had a view of a wall approximatly 3 feet away. The bed was large and comfy. The room smelled of damp and the bathroom had mould around the bath. We decided to stay in that room for the evening. The next day we asked for a room change because of the smell in the room, we were […] offered a room on the top floor with a promise of an upgraded room for the 3rd night. The room on the top floor was incredibly dirty, the carpet, curtains and bathroom were dirty. Finaly the 3rd room was on the ground floor (Premium room) could be dicribed as no more than adequate. Quite how this could be described as a premium room beats me as it was a worse room than the 1st room apart from the smell and I'm not looking at a wall. Finaly the TV only had 6 channels.
