Hotel vieillot mais relativement propre. Personnel agréable à la disposition des clients. Emplacement idéal à promité des différentes lignes de métro , de la Vème avenue, de Times SQuare. Pensez à réclamer des serviettes de bain qui sont distribuées au nombre de brosse à dents présenté dans la salle de bain.

Hôtel agréable, petit déjeuner servit de 6h30 à 9h30 correcte (ne pas arriver trop tard), station de métro ( 39 Av ) à 3min à pieds qui vous mène en 9min à la 5ème Avenue. Chambre spacieuse et bien équipée.

Nous recommandons fortement cet hotel. Super vue sur manhattan, terrasse exceptionnelle sur les toits..fabuleux !!! les chambres sont très cosy, propres, vraiment rien à redire. C'était parfait. les alentours de l'hotel sont effectivement surprenants (zone industrielle) mais peu importe la qualité, le service, la vue nous font, tout de suite, oublier les environs. Même si nous ne sommes dans manhattan même, aucun souci de transport.....en 10 minutes grand max nous y sommes. c'est très bien desservi et en plus il y a une navette qui peut nous amener au centre de manhattan. Vriament nous recoomandons vivement cet hotel et si c'était à refaire nous y retournerons sans problème! c'est fabuleux !!!!

Hôtel confortable et bien tenu. La décoration est classique, et le personnel très avenant. Le café est excellent. Le seul regret porte sur le fait que les fenetres de la chambre donnent sur un mur situé à un mètre de distance, ce qui fait que la lumière du jour e pénètre pas dans la chambre.

un séjour parfait, dans un magnifique hôtel qui mérite toutes ses étoiles.
chambre au 6è etage donnant sur un mur on ne pouvait meme pas voir le temps qu'il fesait. en plus un bruit permanent de la ventilation extérieure. le bar de l'hotel trés moyen
"J'y retourne sans hesiter"
Même si ma chambre était dans les plus petites de l'étage, elle faisait quand même 60m2... Service aux petits soins, petit déjeuner frugal mais gratuit, que du bonheur... Une situation superbe, près de Times Square, des grandes avenues des théâtres...
Excellent hôtel, bien situé, lit très confortable, chambre spacieuse, petit déjeuner offert très apprécié.

Tout est excellent mais les économies de bout de chandelle de l'hôtel sont très frustrantes : - inacceptable de demander 12,99$ par jour pour le wi-fi - en 2011 ça doit être gratuit! - déjeuner hyper cheap en plus de devoir payer pour le jus d'orange.

This hotel was great - the room was oversized and comfortable, the bed was great, the people at the front desk were warm and helpful, the location was perfect. My overall experience at the hotel was really fantastic and added to the enjoyment of my weekend in NYC.

"Large beautifully decorated rooms"
When we first went into our room, the first thing I noticed was the damp smell, then I saw the brick wall straight outside the window, making the room feel claustrophobic, it felt as though it was in a basement.. Being English and not liking to normally complain, we did tel reception and they immediately sent a porter to move our luggage to another […] room. The room was very spacious and beautifully decorated, with a view of the street, which was very welcome. My husband and I stayed one night in this hotel. The service was excellent, the bed and pillows were very comfortable, and the decor was beautiful. We highly recommend the Michaelangelo for a romantic weekend in the city.

"new to me, but now "a find'"
This was my first stay. The lobby was a bit dated looking, but the room was great. There is no coffee in the room, but room service came in 10 minutes. The continental breakfast was huge and tasty. The bar was quite nice, with excellent service. Hotel location is perfect for theater.

While the hotel was very nice, I was not overly impressed. I would likely try something different in the future, just to get a comparison (it was my first time in NY). Con(s): (1) While most of the staff members were very nice, a few were rude. My first talk (on the phone) with a member of the hotel staff was very disappointing (I found him to be […] very rude and unhelpful). (2) I noticed a number of other reviewers praised the size of the bathtub. Unfortunately for us, there was hair in the bathtub when we arrived -- which left us feeling uneasy about using anything other than the shower. (3) Price tags on various items in the room created a somewhat unwelcoming feel. I understand placing price tags on the mini-bar, but placing a price tag on the robes in the bathroom was a little excessive. (4) Not a very good view. Pro(s): (1) Big room (2) Little street noise for us (we were on one of the higher floors). Again, I'm not saying our stay was horrible -- just not remarkable for the amount we spent. Given that there are lots of hotels at similar price ranges, I would probably opt to try something else in the future. Lisez la suite

Located a block from Rockefeller center, easy access to subway lines. Boutique feel to the hotel, everything was perfect: clean, well decorated rooms, pleasant and helpful service and great meal in the lobby restaurant. Highly recommend it!

This is a superb luxury boutique hotel on 51St. The location is great, just round the corner and it's within walking distance to Times Square, the Subway stations and some of the theatres. I stayed at the Hilton for 2 nights before moving to Michelangelo and I much prefer Michelangelo. I stayed there for 6 nights and was very comfortable in the spacious […] bedroom and a very lovely bathroom where the vanity area is separate from the bathroom. I had a night flight and the hotel was willing to extend my check-out time 2 hours later. I appreciate the flexibility and will definitely go back there for my next trip. Lisez la suite

Very close to theaters, times square and not too far from central park. Staff was friendly and accomodating. Room was comfortable and large with a large bathroom and tub. Super comfy bed. Best thing was that you are close to all the action but the hotel itself and room was beautiful, quiet and cozy. Only complaint is that plumbing could be quite loud […] at times. Otherwise perfect! I booked this hotel based on the reviews on Hotel.com and I have to agree that it is a great find. I've stayed at many hotels in NYC, including the Four Seasons and Ritz Carlton and I have to say that the quality of the room was comparable (other than the bathroom). It is convenient for shows but you don't feel like you in the middle of a millino tourists […] in Times Square. Great hotel! Lisez la suite

We had another lovely stay at the Michelangelo. Our room was spacious, the hotel personnel were very friendly and helpful, and the location is perfect for the theatre , fine dining, and interesting shopping. This is definitely our favorite place to stay.

Other […] must see sights are in walking distance. The front desk staff and other employees were all professional, helpful and friendly. This is going to be our new NYC home away from home. The room was decorated in opulent bordello style, offered no sky view (just an air shaft) and, worst of all, was incredibly hot and stuffy. There seemed to be no way to cool it down or introduce clean, fresh air. Moreover, the switch on the bedside lamp was defective, and sparked when it was turned on, rendering the lamp unsafe to operate and ,therefore, […] useless. Love the Michaelangelo - always stay there when in NYC. Really miss the continental breakfast in the lobby. Basement accomodations more like a dungeon-definitely a downgrade in service. Otherwise still a great hotel in perfect neighborhood
