"Nice Hotel - great location"
Nice modernised rooms in a central location. Overall a good hotel
"My favourite hotel for the price and location"
For the really cool neighborood, practical location, the good service, the confortable room, the wonderful view, and the cheapish price if you book more than 2 nights, this is definitely one of my top favourite hotels in the world (and I have tried many ;-)) as it is rare to have all these good points all together. I will simply always make sure to stay […] there when I go to Osaka and even plan my trip accordingly ;-) since I really like Osaka and is such a great base to easily reach all the cool sites in the area (Kyoto, Nara, Koyasan, etc. etc.) Lisez la suite
"Location"
Enjoyable though a bit pricey.
"Really nice hotel with excellent facilities"
We stayed for 4 nights at a Swiss Executive Room on 34/F. Everything was great - the spectacular view of the Osaka city, the clean and relatively spacious room, the snacks and drinks in the lounge, the Japanese bath, the breakfast on 36/F, the proximity to the subway station and the shopping area... The lady staff who checked us in, Onishi, was particularly […] helpful and patient. One thing we found not so convenient is that they spa and gym is only open till 10pm. We could have been able to use the facilities more if the operation hours are till say 11pm. We definitely will stay at this hotel again and will recommend it to our friends. Lisez la suite
"Very Disappointed"
I reserved my room 3/4 days before leaving for Osaka and accepted the fact that the room rate was expensive due in part to my last minute booking, and because most of the hotels (Hilton, S Regis, Ritz Carlton) I researched about were full. Still, I was excited about staying at Swissotel because the website said it was centrally located. When I arrived, […] the receptionist couldn't find my reservation for 5 minutes until I mentioned it was booked through Hotels.com. How weird, aren't reservations tracked by name? She then asked if I wanted a daily newspaper to which I answered yes. It was never delivered for the 5 days I stayed. I didn't remind them either because I wanted to see if they would remember. Obviously not. I sent clothes to be laundered twice, and both times they asked me to pay by cash. Why didn't the hotel bother to ask if I wanted to charge it to a credit card? Also, no-one ever asked about my stay even though I went to concierge everyday to ask for assistance. One time, I asked for a dining suggestion and a concierge staff gave me a pamphlet to read myself. The last straw was after I checked out, the receptionist didn't thank me, didn't ask me about my stay or even wish me a safe journey home. It was as if she couldn't be bothered and didn't care. At least I now know I'll never stay in a Swissotel, in Osaka or any other country again. Lisez la suite

"Great Hotel with great service"
Hotel has a great location. Well located just above Osaka-Namba station. Easliy could get the Rapi Express train to Kansai International airport (~40mins). Hotel bell captain brings all luggage from room to trian. Excellent service. Most staff could understand english and are very helpful.
"Good location to tarvel inside Osaka"
The location just above the major Namba Station puts all of Osaka within easy reach.
"Swissotel Nankai Osaka"
Great location and view from room! Rooms were kind of small for the price. Hotel is kind of old as well.
"Swissotel Nankai Osaka"
The hotel is very nice and there is a thing I like to mention, some of the hotel entries closed too early (8pm), especially those one close to shopping area (Naba city) and the one next to department store. Need to walk around buildings to get in the hotel and other entries are not easy to find.

"Past it's best"
We've stayed in six 4 & 5 star hotels on this 11 night trip. We've had a great holiday, however this hotel was the low point. It's past it's best, it's tired and smelly. It felt as though it's last update was in the 80's. Staff were nice but ineffectual. There was effectively no wifi access. The only hotspot was a small narrow band location near the […] lifts in the hotel lobby. It took me 15 minutes to download 10 emails... I hope this is not representative of Swissotel. I've not stayed in one before, but after this experience, I'm not keen to return... Lisez la suite
"Swissotel Nankai Osaka - Good ! Good ! Good !"
English speaking and very helpful staffs. Good location, easy to get there by Nankai train service and surrounded by good shopping and eating places. Highly recomended.
Great hotel but location within the two railways made it difficult to navigate for first timers. Hotel staff spoke English and went out of their way to help. Great location to catch trains to Nara and airport.

"very convenient hotel"
The hotel is located in a very good location, which can go to nanba station to take nankai airport line and metro. The service of the hotel is excellent and helpful, which give me a very good impression
"Super convenient and very helpful staff"
It's in the best location, shopping, airport train... The staff even helped get our luggage from the room right up to help us load it on the Rapito to airport! The price is 4 times that of a standard room in Osaka, but for the great service, I will consider staying there again for the next trip if budget allows.

I stayed at the hotel for 2 nights in mid November. The location is great, just above a major metro and JR station, which is also the terminus of the Hankyu Line direct from Kansai Airport. Although the hotel lobby looks a bit old, the room was more than a pleasant surpise. It's in immaculate condition and very spacious indeed. The hotel staff were […] polite, attentative and helpful, and they speak very good english. I have no reservation in recommending this hotel to anyone, especially if you'll be taking the train to/from airport with a few luggages. Lisez la suite

"Excellent Service and location!"
Wonderful service and excellent location. Convenient. All staff were helpful. After ranovation, the rooms looked great! Would definitely be my first choice if I go to Osaka again!!!
"Good location but service not good"
Great location but being difficult when we requested to keep our luggages to be taken next day. Never encounter such difficulty in all hotels in the past!!!
"Swissotel Osaka"
Wow!!! This is a great hotel!!! It does not disappoint in any area - service, convenience, room size, staff, etc. It is simply one of the best hotels I've stayed anywhere. But the location has got to be the biggest plus - shopping and restaurants are at your door step. From the high end Takayashima to all the little shops, the specialty shops (knives, […] cooking utensils), and the unusual. I am very comfortable using the subway systems in Japan, but to be honest, if you stayed at this hotel for five days, you can experience something different every day (and night), simply by walking. The most of the staff speak English well enough to understand what you need. There's a desk where you can ship your luggage to your next stop. The staff fills in the forms for you!! My experience at this hotel was so great that I am now looking at the Swissotel in other countries. Lisez la suite
"Swissotel Nankai - Professional"
It's primarily a business hotel but it is very nice. The Cross Hotel was booked so we decided to try this hotel for 3 nights; it was a good decision. The hotel is a short subway jump from the main JR station when we came in on the Shinkansen. The hotel itself can be tricky to find from the subway. Just keep going up the stairs and escalators. Walking […] around you'll find a set of elevators and the Swissotel logo. As expected from a business hotel, the staff were very professional and spoke several languages. We stayed in the Swiss Advantage remodeled room. It was worth it. The pictures people have posted about the views don't lie. One trait that stood out about the hotel was the responsibility. When we were out, the staff were cleaning the room and accidentally knocked one of my girlfriend's cosmetic off the counter and it broke. We had a message waiting for us when we returned about the mishap. We went to the lobby and they were very apologetic about the mishap and had gone out and bought a new cosmetic to replace the broken one, complete with wrapping. Not many places will do that, nor actually report it to you. Thanks Swissotel. My only gripe and it has been written about by others, the internet. It should be available in every room and included in the stay. Most hotels offer it included with the stay so it's surprising a hotel of this stature has this pay system still in place. Other than that, good hotel. It has a good location being on the subway and there are plenty of shops and eateries around the area to keep you busy. I would stay again. Lisez la suite
"The Swissotel Nankai Osaka - convenient location"
The Swissotel Nankai Osaka is in a great location, right above train line and very convenient for great shopping and other tourist attractions. Would highly recommend it to anyone and would definately stay there again.
"Good hotel, overall"
The hotel is at Namba station and the surrounding area has many restaurants and places to go, so the location is excellent. The bed in the room is huge (had a king size) and extremely comfortable - not too hard and not too soft. The comforter was light, yet warm and it wasn't itchy as I am allergic to many types of comforters in various hotels. The […] restaurants in the hotel are too expensive though, but as I said, there are so many places to eat that are very close to the hotel that you can simply walk outside and within 5 minutes have numerous choices available to you. When you walk into this hotel, make sure you take caution as the front doors open and then stop halfway before fully opening eventually. I mistakenly hit my head on the side of one of the doors as I saw it starting to open and then walked toward it anticipating that it would open fully. Of course it didn't and I basically walked right into it. In terms of service, I was upgraded during check-in to a better room than the standard room, so make sure you ask about the availability of a free upgrade. The women who checked me in was very professional and I was pleased with her service. One area that this hotel has to improve upon is that their business office isn't open early in the morning, and given that this is a 4-star hotel with ample staff available, I think one of the employees could of opened the office after my girlfriend asked if the business centre was availabe for use. She had to contact some of her customers whom were planning to attend a gathering she had organized, but due to the typhoon, my girlfriend had to reschedule the event and inform everyone it was not going to be held, hence the need to use the hotel's business office. So, I thought to myself that considering the cost and level of this hotel, and as I said, considering the number of staff that was on hand (most of them not busy attending to the needs of other guests), it seemed that they could of made more of an effort to meet my Lisez la suite
"Swissot Nankai Osaka-comfortable, central location"
We're a family of four (2 daughters; 5 and 7) and we enjoyed our week's stay in this hotel. The room was spacy-enough and had all luxurious amenities we didn't think we needed (like a Nespresso machine). We had some trouble finding the right pillows but housekeeping was more than willing to assist us there. We felt very welcome and this added to the […] pleasure of staying in Osaka. Location is excellent as its just next to the rail and subway. Service staff very attentive and helpful. Room is great with good security features. Will definitely stay if I should go back for another holiday.
"Great Hotel. Perfect Location +++"
Great Hotel. Perfect Location right on top Namba train station. Short walk to JR station. In the middle of thousands of shops and restaurants. Staff are so friendly and speak English. Rooms are a good size for Japan. Will definitely stay here again.
"Perfect location for travel and entertainment"
This hotel is on top of the Nanki Namba station, which is perfect if you need to take a train to Kansai airport. It's also less than a ten minute walk from Doton-bori which is a must see for any visitor to Osaka. The room was much larger than the rooms I had in Tokyo and Kyoto, though it was also more expensive. The staff spoke English well and were […] helpful. The only downside is you have to pay extra for internet in the room, and the free wifi in the hotel lobby does not include a power outlet for your laptop. Lisez la suite
