we were really satisfied with our room, it was very clean & newly renovated, the hotel itself is quiet & tucked away in a nice neighborhood, walking distance to all your needs (food, drinks, etc), the staff is nice & helpful. no complaints.Avis certifié Hotels.com
"Comfortable affordable hotel in decent location"
Decent hotel with mostly friendly staff. Rooms small but cozy and well-equipped. Seemed renovated, bath and room in very good condition. Good experience if it hadn't been for the noise levels during the night!Avis certifié Expedia
"More of a motel"
Our room was on street level which meant you can hear cars and people go by. A "fake" door and no bars on the Window which would have Made us feel safer on the street. A few blind spots when walking around to get to your room which wouldn't have been so bad had the rooms not been easily accessible from the outside public.Avis certifié Expedia

"I HAD THE BEST AND FUNNIEST TIME EVER!"
AWESOME!FUN!SUPER COOL! EVERYTHING WAS A TOTAL BLAST! i WOULD STAY AT THIS HOTEL EVERY TIE I GO OUT TO NEW ORLEANS!Avis certifié Expedia
The only trouble with the Hotel is the stairs. Ask for a room on the main level and you can avoid the workout. Best part of the Hotel is the free parking.Avis certifié Hotels.com
"A French Quarter Hotel inThe Garden District."
Small, comfortable hotel w/ a courtyard in the French Quarter style. Very reasonably priced.Avis certifié Expedia
Liked the free parking and hotel location. Breakfast ok, no fruit. One of the beds was very soft and had a sink hole. Pillows just ok. Other bed hadn't been cleaned underneath in quite a while. I found a dusty sock underneath it. Nice lotion, soap and shampoo.Avis certifié Hotels.com
"Bad nights sleep"
Noise, noise and noise. Horrible showers with no pressure and a really bad mattress. Stairs connected to the wall and every step and case banging up And down.Avis certifié Expedia

"Great Cozy Getaway in a Fabulous City"
Second year in a row, we have stayed @ the Prytania Park, we just love itAvis certifié Hotels.com
I stayed here for a business convention and brought several people with me -- because it was close the convention center, and I thought we could easily arrange transportation (either with the street car or taxi). This was difficult because taxis couldn't find the place … and the street car requires transfers to get you to convention center... I arrived […] late (around 10pm), and when given my room, I discovered there wasn't an elevator or anyone to assist with luggage to get me to my room on the 2nd floor. I had 2 very heavy bags, and because of recent back surgery, I couldn't carry them myself. Front desk clerk was rude…and told me they were a historic hotel…huh? Lisez la suiteAvis certifié Expedia

"Quiet, clean, and convenient"
My husband and I stayed at this hotel during our honey. The staff was friendly, polite, helpful, and professional. The rooms are small, but very well-maintained and clean. The hotel is located in an area that is convenient to areas on both the Garden District and the French Quarter. It's only about half a mile from the Port of New Orleans, which was […] important for us since part of our honeymoon involved a short cruise. Because we were staying in the hotel for a few days after the cruise, we were able to leave our car parked in the hotel's parking lot. Very nice stay! We would love to stay there again if we ever find ourselves back in New Orleans. Lisez la suiteAvis certifié Expedia
"Big Easy Getaway"
Room was comfortable. Hotel was close to the street car stop-made it easy to get around. Staff was always helpful.Avis certifié Hotels.com
This is a unique hotel. It has a motel style in that all the rooms open to the outside, but it is in a garden area and very picturesque. The room fit the bill for only one night. PROS: Continental breakfast; separate loft bed for my son. CONS: One electrical outlet; no elevator for second floorAvis certifié Hotels.com
"Great Hotel convenient to everything"
We came to town to check out a college. They Prytania Park was perfectly located. Easy to access the Street Car to get to the colleges or downtown. They staff were friendly and very helpful. We would definitely stay here again.Avis certifié Expedia
"Convenient Location, Comfortable Room, Quiet"
Located on the St. Charles street car line and right next to the Garden District, this was an ideal location within comfortable walking distance to several points of interest and a variety of good restaurants. Front desk staff was knowledgeable, gracious and eager to assist. Room was cozy and quiet. Casual continental breakfast is outside in good weather. The hotel was far enough from the French Quarter to be quiet, but only a half-block away from the St Charles streecar to easily go to the quarter. The staff were always helpful, and the room was adaquate for our needs. I was in a room with a spiral stair to an upper level -- would be great for a family with one or two kids. Overall, very satisfied.Avis certifié Expedia
"Sugar Bowl Stay"
My brother and I stayed here during our trip to New Orleans to watch our Sooners win the Sugar Bowl. Very friendly staff, clean room, and loved the lofted area. It was a bit of a walk to the game and the French Quarter but a short cab ride. The neighborhood was a little questionable at times but it didn't feel unsafe. Close to the World War II museum. […] Will likely stay there again when we return to New Orleans. Lisez la suiteAvis certifié Hotels.com
"Just what we were looking for!!"
Close to the trolley, nice staff, clean room, nice tv, with free parking. They even allowed us to park early, before we could check in. Good restaurants right down the street, one is 24 hours.Avis certifié Hotels.com
This hotel is one block from the St. Charles streetcar line which we used for most of our stay in New Orleans. Hotel was very clean and comfortable. The fact that breakfast was included was great. While it consisted of cereal, yogurt, bagels and pastries, this was fine for us. The hotel was very quiet. I would definitely stay here again!Avis certifié Expedia

"close to trolley"
We are frugal travelers and the Prytania was an upgrade to what we usually choose. It was worth every penny. Close to the trolley and secured parking (no additional cost) so it accommodates those with and without transportation. The trolley takes you to the french quarter (less than a mile); it takes you to city park with a transfer; go to Audubon Park […] w/o a transfer; Loyola and Tulane. There are various eateries w/in walking distance (1 to 2 blocks). Mardi gras parades w/in 2 blocks. The hotel itself is full of NOLA character. Each room is situated in an outdoor network (hallway) of mini brownstone type entry ways creating a small condensed community. Internally the rooms are small but very comfortable with charm and a good layout. We were there for Christmas and it was cold outside but the room was warm and cozy. The bathroom had its own heater fan that warmed things up even more for showers. Breakfast outside in the corridor/terrace was convenient to eat there but as it was cold so we took it back to our room. We will return and have recommended it to family and friends already Lisez la suiteAvis certifié Hotels.com
"Little gem, but stay upstairs."
We were in New Orleans for one night as we traveled across the country. To get to the hotel you have to drive through a sketchy part of town. Apparently this is a common adventure while traveling in New Orleans. The hotel was a cute little gem in a not so cute neighborhood. The exterior hallways and small courtyards were very pleasant and decorated […] nicely. The one and only complaint was the noise from above. We stayed on the first floor and a herd of elephants stayed on the second floor directly above us. I'm not sure when the hotel was built, but it is definitely lacking modern noise barriers. Overall, great hotel for the cost. Lisez la suiteAvis certifié Expedia
"Good place to crash after partying on Burbon St."
This was a flop house. I couldn't wait to check out. It does have a great location if you don't want to drive and they don't charge for parking. That's where it ends. The rooms are old tiered and the furnishings look like they were purchased at a swap meet. The beds were so old and uncofortable, that my husband and I had to take medication the next […] day due to back pain. I don't know what that old funky thing was that should have been a blanket on my bed. It was thread bare and scary, so I took it off an just slept under the sheet. Pay a little bit more and stay in one of the many hotels further away from th center of town on Charles St., where you still will have access to the trolley car. Stayed overnight. Located half a block from the trolley and a few blocks from magazine st. Clean room comfy bed. Will defiantly return.Avis certifié Hotels.com
We had a nice stay at this hotel. It was located just off St. Charles Street, a great place to walk to see the old mansions of New Orleans and on which is located the St Charles tram system providing easy access to the downtown and French Quarter of New Orleans.Avis certifié Expedia
Not the most luxurious room, but for the price, it was a good size and was comfortable. Located in a quiet neighborhood and although our room faced the street and we could hear some cars going by, it wasn't heavy traffic so didn't bother us. A simple breakfast was available every morning, and we were within walking distance of the St. Charles streetcar […] and the Magazine St. bus, so it was really easy to get around. There are restaurants close by on St. Charles and there is a Walgreens a few blocks away where you can buy a 3 day Jazzy pass for public transportation. I would stay here again. "Great hotel with access to trolleys"
Really enjoyed staying for a couple of nights at this hotel. The loft room worked well so that my son and I could stay upstairs while my brother stayed downstairs. "nice hotel in a quiet section of New Orleans"
Hotel is fairly close to all the tourist attractions, especially with the option of getting on a trolley. Parking is free and safe...leave the car at the hotel and get everywhere on foot. "Wonderful place, great location."
My fiance and I stayed here last week for 4 days. The price of the hotel was good compared to around the area. Staff was very friendly and attentive with great recommendations. "Excellent Location for NOLA Garden District Visit"
We will return. We now consider the Prytania Park Hotel as our ideal hotel in the Garden District. — Excellent location. Convenient to St. Charles Ave., (half a block). Short drive to Magazine St. — In the evening, we felt safe walking to and from the hotel to restaurants on St. Charles. Plenty of street lighting. — *FREE* parking. — The most comfortable […] hotel bed I have ever had. (No exaggeration.) Mattress was a combination of springs on the bottom and foam on top. Also had good pillows, (soft but large). — The room was relatively small, but clean and comfortable. The size was OK for our needs. After all, it's New Orleans. You're not supposed to spend all of your time in your room. — During our two night stay, we were not disturbed by any loud noises. Maybe it was luck, but the hotel did have a lot of guests. Either they were all very polite (quiet) or the room solidly blocked out the normal hotel noise that you would expect. — The room's air conditioner could turn the room into a freezer in a matter of minutes. Also, the A/C fan could be set to run constantly, avoiding the cycling on and off during the night that might be a nuisance. There was also a ceiling fan. — The desk staff were very nice and knowledgeable about the local area. — A continental breakfast was offered, but we did not partake. (Come on! So many good restaurants in NOLA!) — Bottom line: Highly recommended for travelers who want to enjoy the Garden District. Lisez la suiteAvis certifié Hotels.com

"Prytania Park, New Orleans"
Nice hotel, very clean, and complimentary access to a local gym which was nice! One of the receptionists was a bit brusque with us, but the other staff were lovely. "Nice Little Hotel"
We enjoyed our stay here. We had a loft room that worked well for us because our son could stay upstairs, which afforded all of us a bit of privacy. The hotel is about a half block off St. Charles Avenue, so catching the trolley was very convenient. There were excellent dining options in walking distance. Parking was free. Great location, off street parking in their private lot, staff very helpful and courteous, BUT, it is showing it's age and really needs a re-do. Rooms are small, fairly clean (don't look too close), dated and worn out furniture, most rooms w/o any view and OK for a night, however any longer is too long.Avis certifié Expedia
overall-nice. But, the website doesnt say that there is ONLY stairs to the upstair floors. We went with 2 seniors and it was very difficult for them.Avis certifié Hotels.com

"Great Hotel for Visiting New Orleans"
This is a nice hotel with nice staff. The layout of the hotel is different from traditional ones since it has relatively open-air walkways and hallways with nice wooden skylights. We had a Junior Suite with a balcony and were able to enjoy the sun and moonlight. The hotel is away from the French Quarters which makes it even better (less touristy), but […] is right by the Street Car to easily get to downtown area. The surrounding neighborhoods are beautiful and as you continue to walk down St. Charles, the houses get fancier and fancier. There is a park right behind the hotel and a great 24 hour bar, Lucky's, on the other side of St. Charles. Great times. Lisez la suiteAvis certifié Hotels.com
Hotel staff was very courteous. There was no TV in loft area. The bed pillows need to be replaced. Other than those issues we were vey satisfied with the hotel.Avis certifié Hotels.com
"First visit to New Orleans"
Prytania Park hotel is interestingly different. It is in the Garden District and walkable to the French Quarter (also close to the Charles St. trolley which saves the feet). Check in and out were smooth. Room is accessed via inside courtyard, to which all rooms open. AC units 'empty' there- hot air and condensate. The room was small, but serviceable. […] Bed is comfortable, and bathroom is dated but adequate. Room was clean. Our room faced Prytania St., but street noise was not an issue. Breakfast was free and served in the courtyard. Food was fine, but seating can be limited. Off street parking and WiFi are free. Hotel offered good value compared to others nearby. Lisez la suiteAvis certifié Hotels.com
