Great hotel for this price in the heart of Laguna Beach within walking to all the restaurants and the beach. Comfortable and clean with good service. The hot popcorn and free lemonade, soda, coffee and water in the lobby is a nice touch.

and very central location. We were moved to a better located room with no fuss by the very friendly staff---rooms are smallish and decor is tired but comfortable. The coutyard is charming and the pool was fine--great to have a Ralphs right next door and The Orange Inn across the street for breakfast. Not value for expensive Laguna.

This hotel had the feeling of Europe, with beautiful flowers casacading over the building, rooms were small. The pool was nestled in a courtyard, which was secured by an iron fence. Free popcorn, yummy lemonade, pop and water was always on hand. You could warm up to a fireplace in the lounge.

I liked the fact that it was walking distance to the main center

This is the hotel I always stay at in Laguna Beach and I am a regular business and leisure traveler. It is an older hotel but it is convenient for these reasons: nice staff, great location, complimentary water bottles and other beverages and popcorn (bonus), parking, good rates. Due to your policies of company credit cards and the rudeness of your front clerk at check in, our company will no longer stay at your hotel.

We stayed at the Best Western Las Brisas the week before and I will recommend that one up and down before this hotel. For the same price, the Holiday Inn room was dirty, reeked of smoke, and did not have a jacuzzi tub.

This Holiday Inn isn't the most luxurious hotel in the world, but it's perfectly fine. It's quite close to the Laguna Beach high school, and that was good for using their track to jog around. Also there's a municipal pool right across the street from the school that was very convenient and nice. The beds were clean and comfortable and I like it when […] the toilet area is separate from the sink area. The lobby always had coffee/water/sodas available, and so that was a good feature as well. We only stayed for one night, but the Holiday Inn was all we needed. Nothing fancy, but clean and comfortable. We didn't use the hotel swimming pool, but it looked allright.

My husband and I enjoyed a two day stay here in Aug 2011. Fantastic location right on PCH within a short walk to the beach and downtown Laguna Bch. Although room was on the small side, it was very well equiped and stylishly decorated. Definitedly plan to stay here again, soon.

Friendly and helpful front desk. Wonderful staff.... Only complaints....no chair in room...no mirror outside bathroom area....small closet. Great location...easy walk to beach, shopping and town.

The room was 'adequate' but for the money we expected more. The laundry cart was parked outside of our room all night for both of the nights were stayed. The desk staff was very nice.

We stayed at this hotel because of its vicinity to the beach and downtown. Easy access to both. However, upon our arrival we were told that our room had 1 King bed when we specifically requested the 2 queen beds in the room with the Hotels.com service. Hotels.com was very misleading. The hotel said they have no queen beds. They only had two doubles […] or one King. We had no choice but to stay. After we settled in we went to the bar for pina coladas. The bartender kept smelling the inside of the shakers as if to check that it had been cleaned. Then she proceded to smell the small amount of pina mix in a bottle, poured it into the shaker and said she was going to get more mix. I grabed the bottle and saw that the experation date was 10/2010! She could have made us seriously ill on our first day! We passed on the pina's and ordered margaritas that tasted like salt water. She was obviously annoyed that she had been caught serving expired drinks and that her margaritas were horrible. We also hung our breakfast order on our door as instructed and it was not picked up. Sorry, no in room breakfast for us, so I thought. However, a nice waitress took care of the problem and compted the meal. The restaurant has serious issues with their menus. Everything is either fried, prefrozen, and microwavable. We did not order lunch, dinner or appitizers and had only 4 (easy to make, straight forward drinks) the whole weekend because we couldnttrust the bartender. Besides the room problem and the restrante and bar, the hotel is nice. The pool area is very relaxing with a garden-style feel and comes with a lighted gazebo at night. Very lovely. I would recomment this hotel for a relaxing weekend by the pool or easy access to the beach. Otherwise, eeat somewher. Lisez la suite

This hotel is located right in the heart of Laguna Beach with beach access a block away. The hotel is a good basic business hotel with very few frills. The rooms are comfortable and clean. The free WIFI and the pool is a plus

I LOVED this hotel!!! I would stay here again for sure. After having a horrible experience at another hotel nearby, coming to this one felt like I was at a resort in Italy. The staff were very friendly and always had a smile. They were very helpful. The room was awesome and large enough for my family and I. The only thing they could do better for someone […] staying for a period of time is have a microwave of some sort in the room. We arrived early and were able to check in at about noon. The room was perfect for my Husband & I. The bed was VERY comfortable. My Husband loved that they had a choice of firm or soft pillows as most hotels only have soft. The pool area is beautiful! There is a Ralph's Grocery Store right across the street. It was nice to know we could pick up snacks […] if the urge stuck. Cleo street beach is right across South Coast HWY. A very easy walk. It was fun to watch all the surfers. We went scuba diving here...I DON'T recommend it. Not a good dive site!! Stick with Shaw's Cove, Divers Cove etc. But it is a great beach to relax and catch some rays. As far as food there is a GREAT place a few blocks South of the hotel called Penguins. They have delicious breakfast and VERY reasonable prices. They serve lunch too I believe but we ate there for breakfast only. We ate at Javier's at Crystal Cove Promenade for lunch one day. Good food, great atmosphere and of course a little pricey, we are in Laguna afterall. We had drinks at Big Fish there in town they were pretty reasonable. Food looked good. Next month we are going to go back and try their food. Taco Loco, a few blocks North of the Hotel has good food. They are a little pricey for a little hole in the wall I thought. A local told us the Japanese place next door was supposed to be really good. We didn't get to try it though. A must is Crescent Bay Park to catch a Sunset. They even have a local named Bob that is there playing his guitar and singing. It was such a bonus to the beautiful sunset. We have already booked this hotel for next month's long weekend. We are going to try to stay here several times a year. Love this place! Only complaint is I wish they had a whirlpool/spa to soak in at night. Lisez la suite

Right accross the street from the beach, beautiful landscaping and nice rooms at good rates. Nice resturant with good food and nice people at reasonable rates. Everyone was helpful at check-in. I will be going back this summer. Pictures on website are what you get.

If you need a room to sleep in as you explore the beaches and shops around, this is a great hotel. no complaints on free wireless internet, bathroom or bed- all were great! the rest of hotel was kinda shoddy- furninture, TV was fuzzy, keys wouldn't let me into the hotel from the parking lot, no whirlpool or jacuzzi. downtown stuff pretty close. great […] taco stand once block away- definitely recommend them! What a great hotel to stay at. This was my first time in Laguna, and I wanted to stay in a place that I didn't need a car and could feel safe walking around at all times. This was it. The staff was amazing! My room comfortable, my only negative comment would be the pillows were small. Other than that, I stayed there because there was a restaurant bar on property and I had all meals there and food was delishious. By my 2nd day it was my own personal cheers, everybody knew my name and I was treated fantastic. Karissa and Jayo treated me great! Also the bar area is home to locals so it was nice to chat with people from around and get recommendations on places to go etc. Overall, based on location, staff and everything else, if I plan to stay in Laguna again, I would definitely go to this hotel and would recommend it to anyone else going. The hotel is just what i wanted: close to LAX, clean, excellent price. It's big. Had to walk a long way to my room. No complaints really.

Place is very, very nice considering the other motels in Laguna. The staff at the front was amazingly nice. Will be back!!

We were in town for the Sawdust Festival and ' Pagent of the Masters' This Hotel was the perfect location, we parked our car and rode the free trolly around town !

The Holiday Inn Laguna Beach is a very nice hotel. The rooms are clean, the staff is very friendly and accomodating. The location was great, only a few blocks from Main Beach. With two children, my wife and I the rooms were a bit small at times but while in Laguna Beach there is not much reason to spend time in the hotel room other than to sleep. wonderful location

Hotel management and staff are very friendly and helpful. One note; lobby and parking entrance is on the 2nd floor and they do not have elevators. First floor may be difficult for strollers or guests with limited mobility. Also, beach access is across the street but very steep stairs and difficult access with children and elderly. One suggestion put […] slow closing device on pool gates. They made a lot of noise when they slammed shut. Overall it was a pleasant experience and more than I expected given the reasonable price. The room we had was very small and cramped with for two beds. A pet peeve we have are windows that do not open (especially near the beach) and that was the case here. We had to keep the door open for any fresh air or breeze and of course you can't do that when you are asleep. It is a great location.

good easy hotel for La Jolla, everything within easy walking distance

This Holiday Day was recently remodeled and is very comfortable and charming. The rooms are situated around a courtyard/swimming pool setting. Lots of lovely bouganvillea around. I found the accomodations very comfortable and the location is excellent to shopping, beach and activities in the Laguna art scene. Considering the location the price was about right. The walk to downtown was about 10-15 minutes, with small children, which still allowed us enough energy and time to walk most of the downtown area. During the summer months the free trolly was nice. The trolly stops in front of the hotel both south and north. the hotel is a little old but they have […] done a nice job of renovation which has turned it into a nice little motel experience. The rooms are small, as mentioned in other reviews, but adiquite. My wife and I and our two small children did just fine. Our room did not have a bath but the shower was nice. Did not try the resturant, the blue laguna, but it looked nice, I would avoid eating inside as the bar area permiates into the indoor dining area, making it all smell like a sour bar. the outside dining area was very nice. Hotel guest Kids eat free with paid adult. Parking was easy and only $11.20 a nite. Pool was small but very nice. grocery store accross the street was very nice and the two fast food joints on the other side of PCH, although not used, would be nice for the late night grub. The rooms are positioned in a rectangle around a great heated pool with the bar nearby and although the rooms are non smoking they have nice smoking areas dotted around the place, room were very comfortable and clean, the service and staff were excellent. Hotel molto confortevole, vicinissimo alla spiaggia, al supermercato giusto di fronte e aperto fino all'una. Giardino molto rilassante con piscina e molti fiori, proprio un angolo di pace nella carinissima Laguna beach. A pochi passi dall'albergo passa il tram gratutito ( nel periodo estivo) che porta x tuttla Laguna. Proprio sulla strada principale […] di Laguna, vicino ai principali ristoranti, locali e negozi. Le camere danno tutte sulla piscina ( sono spaziose anche le twin), c'e il parcheggio ( 10 dollari a notte), la lavanderia automatica e nella lobby sono sempre a disposizione dei clienti bibite, pop corn caldi, caffe e the. Mycket bra läge. 75 meter till stranden. Nära till affärer. Frukost vid polen. Ingick dock inte i priset. Laguna Beach trevlig liten stad, med mysiga affärer.

greit hotell når man er på gjennomreise. bråkete AC + for kaffitrakter på rommet. Prøvde ikke frokosten til hotellet.
