Q Hotel & Spa - Kansas City

This was one of the most pleasant hotel experiences we've ever enjoyed. I will recommend it to all my friends. My only negative remark Would be regarding the breakfast they offer. The set up is extremely poor and the quality not what we expected. It is contrary to the "boutique" hotel feel it's apparent they are trying to achieve.

The Q's staff was very helpful and accomondating. Our stay was wonderful. The bed was very comfortable, our only complaint is that we ran out of hot water .

The room was horrible, loud noise- had to notify security at 2:30 am, music playing in hall all night. Bed was hard, ceiling falling in bathroom and no hot water! This what I would expect at a roach motel but not for the price we paid. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone!

Hotel is very nice and in a convenient location. The room was very cold the first night we stayed, around 59 degrees at 8am. We were told this was due to schedule which had the AC scheduled to be on. They brought us a heater for the next night. It was quite and the room was very comfortable then. Cold shower the first morning and we were told by the […] maintenance man that "everyone was taking a shower at the same time", he told us he would "turn on another pump and we should have hot water in a few minutes, which we did. This hotel is in a historic district with lots of bars and restaurants and within 10-15 minutes drive to downtown Kansas City. The hotel has a shuttle that will take you there which we took advantage of. They also gave us a number to call to be picked up later which we did, that worked but it was very slow. Was pleasantly surprised by The Q! The staff was knowledgable of area attractions. The complimentary breakfasts were AMAZING and the omelet lady was like having your mom make you breakfast! I found the staff very friendly and the overall stay good value for money. The two drink happy hour is a nice touch. I would definitely stay there again.

The hotel is in a great section of town with lots of restaurants. very safe to walk around. Close to everything. The room was clean, the bed was very comfortable. The hotel was quiet even with 3 wedding parties in house. Would definitely stay there again

Q Hotel is a fun and energetic hotel for those coming to KC looking for a fun getaway with girlfriends or a date night with your spouse. Complimentary cocktails at happy hour were a plus! Boulevard Beer on tap was a treat. Breakfast was better than average. It is obvious the hotel is a renovated property; the hotel is older. The decor and upkeep are […] pleasing. Our room did smell a bit musty, but that can be overlooked. Double bed rooms are just that - "double sized beds" so don't expect a lot of room to sprawl out if you are sharing. Nice place to stay for a couple of days.. I've stayed there about 3 times already, and staff is super nice andvery helpful.

Booked 4 days and checked out on 2nd day. Very disappointed. Arrived at 1am and was given a room blowing cold air, loudly out of the vent ( it was 40 degrees outside). Moved to another room with no heat. Told we were being upgraded and ended up in an identical room--with heat, this time, and a non working refrigerator and a tiny little microwave. Decor […] is outdated and room very small, bathroom extremely small. The room was clean and the price was reasonable but the place was noisy and we could hear people in their rooms, talking and laughing all night long ( until 4am). We could hear people in the parking lot at 8 am. They did allow us to,check out without penalty and their response to our reasons for leaving " sorry you didn't enjoy your stay." The hotel is very nice. Great happy hour and hot breakfast. The HBO in our room did not work. Normally I would not have cared but it was the season premier of a favorite show. It was a Sunday so the hotel was pretty empty. The day manager was polite but basically told us tuff luck if the cable TV in your room does not work. In the evening when it was […] time to watch our show. We tried asking again. It was the bar tender (Eugene) who took customer service seriously. Hotel is convienent to restrauants, shopping and local entertainment. It is also comfortable and the Staff was couteous to our needs. We liked the fresh breakfast in the morning and the cocktail hours in the evening. Would definately return.

Our family of 4 (kids 11 & 8) ambled into downtown KC for a one-nighter to catch up with old friends at the tail end of a family vacation. We were glad to have free parking which seemed reasonably secure and we didn't need to use our car because the free shuttle took us to our dinner engagement at Crown Center, from there to the Plaza and then from […] there back to the hotel. At no point did we wait more than 10 minutes. At no point were we in the shuttle for any more than that. I don't know anything about downtown KC but Westport seems to be a good location if you plan to see different parts of the city. The Crown Center is full of good stuff for adults and families and we enjoyed a nice evening walk around the Plaza area. The staff was friendly and professional, including the bartender who had her hands full providing the 2 free cocktails per guest at happy hour and the short order cook preparing free omeletes and waffles in the morning. We were cautioned that Westport, being the bar district, gets loud but we didn't hear a peep from our 4th-floor room on Friday night. The only way this could have been better for us was: If Gold's Gym, also a free benefit to Q guests, opened a couple hours earlier on Saturday; if the free Internet connectivity had been faster and more permissive (we couldn't download the movies we purchased from iTunes, so it's a good thing we had library books and other electronics for the 9-hr road trip back to Denver). I encountered no difficulty as I took in some local flavor with an early Saturday AM run around Westport. We enjoyed our time in KC and recommend the Q Hotel. Lisez la suite

This is a great hotel. We loved the location. Staff were wonderful.

We were in a great location and staff was very nice and helpful. Breakfast was excellent.

My husband and I recently stayed at the Q Hotel and absolutely loved it. The location is perfect for walking to local bars and restaurants and there are several options. Also, the hotel offers a shuttle which came in handy for us. The daily happy hour for the guest was also a nice touch and the bartender provided excellent service. I made a reservation for 2 double beds because I was traveling with a friend. When we got to the room it was a single queen. The staff was not helpful in getting my reservation correct. They said no rooms with two beds were available. They said they would send up housekeeping to make up the hide-away bed in the sofa, but some front desk guy just brought […] up sheets and I had to make the bed myself. Cute decor but room was too small for 3 in the double room. Dining room for continental breakfast was a little dated but great staff and great free amenities.

The value of this hotel is a welcome relief in Kansas City, MO. The hotel has a fabulous complimentary happy hour. They offer a simple breakfast. The only offer was\ an omelet that was overly prepared. The free parking, the location in Westport, offset all of the uneven service. The spa services are incomprehensible.

We went here for a Monday night driving through. The service was excellent and they had free drinks for happy hour at the bar. The next morning they had made-to-order omelets for breakfast along with their continental. I would definatly suggest this hotel to my friends who often stay in Kansas City as its close to all the downtown fun!

The hotel decor & accommodations were excellent. Comments about the rooms being small were fair, although I chose to look at it as "cozy".. Be sure to tip generously at breakfast as the food & service was great.

This was our first trip to KC. We were there for cheer leading competition; so had us, 2 kids and our dog!! The staff was great and very helpful, very pet friendly. We went to Kansas City for a one night get-away and it was one of the better stays we have had in a long time. Hotel staff was friendly and efficient. We used the shuttle service to the Power and Light District for our night out and it was great to not worry about driving there or back. The Omelet Breakfast the next moring was fabulous. This is a nice, affordable and centrally located hotel. Great free breakfast-omelets and waffles made to order. It seems to get packed with young people on the weekend so it gets a bit noisy. But for weekday stays its ideal. The staff was very friendly. My only real complaint would be that my room was a bit stuffy and smelled a little bit when I got […] there. I love this hotel because it is always extra clean and the staff are more helpful than any I have ever met. There is also shopping and restauraunts within walking distance. I will never stay anywhere else in Kansas City!

Great value here, can't wait to go back in warmer weather, plus I get a cheaper rate yet, as a repeater.

Good place to stay. Convenient to Country Club Plaza and restaurants. Overall everything was good. Our bathroom could use a little more thorough cleaning.

Staff was very friendly and helpful! Everything you need is in a close location. Room was a little overpriced, but worth it for New Years Eve!

We have stayed at the Q Hotel in the past and it appeared to be somewhat shabby and "tired" this time around. The toilet and sink were installed at an angle, the faucet was wobbly, and the drapes did not close all of the way. The set up of the room was not comfortable with the mirrors being across from the sink and the shower/tub part of the bathroom […] being tiny. We had a great time. The hotel is centrally located in the Westport district. The bed was comfortable, and enjoyed the breakfast. There are so many places to eat in the area we had a hard time choosing.

This Hotel is a real! very close in proximity to the Country Club Plaza. Closer yet as they offer free shuttle service to area shopping and restaurants. Customer Service is exceptional!!

Had a blast at the Q. Everyone was very friendly, Brandi at the bar was a fabulous mixologist. Cameron was also good. You have to get the inclusive package, which gets you 2 free drinks at happy hour and breakfast and free WI-FI in your room. Never had a problem hooking up to the internet. There are also computers available in the lobby area for anyone. […] The breakfast was great, made to order omlettes and waffles, very filling. It is located in the Westport area, which is their bar district. Plenty of choices for dining and drinks, all within walking distance. They also have a shuttle, if you want to head to the Plaza or Power and Light district. Rooms were a little on the small side, but I obviously didn't spend much time in it. It wasn't a big deal to me. Beds were comfortable, I slept great. Fireplace and leather couches in the lobby. Overall, a great experience, I will be back again when I am in Kansas City. Lisez la suite
