Hyatt Regency Wichita - Wichita

The hotel is Ok clean and confortable but no restaurant after 10:00pm and also no room service !!!! yes at Hyatt §§§ not good .

Extremely poor customer service when trying to order room service at 11:10 p.m., rang the room service number, inquired as to available menu items since there was not a menu in my room. Was told the service would close at midnight. I said I would call back in a few minutes with our order, in order to discuss the menu with my fellow guest. When I called […] back at 11:14, no one answered in the kitchen. The front desk operator stated that "they must be gone for the night". I tried again for a few minutes, but no one answered. The front desk staff seemed clueless as to what was happening in other areas of the hotel and unwilling to help. Lisez la suite

Nice. Restaurant staff wAs very friendly.

We were in town to see my grandfather at the hospital, it was very nice after a long hard day to come back to a nice, clean hotel. The staff was helpful and we enjoyed the gym facility. This is the only place I stay for business or pleasure it's my number one choice. Friendly knowledgeable staff, great menus and a comfortable bar only round up the fact that the rooms are spacious, impeccable and very comfortable.

The staff at the Hyatt was so polite and accommodating. Great customer service, comfortable beds, and the room was very clean.

I absolutely will not stay at this hotel again! There wasn't an employee in the place (that I encountered) who cared about their guests. Long lines...key didn't work...in long lines again. Rude employees, couldn't find a phone book, or any info on Wichita. Told to chase the shuttle if I wanted a ride to arena!

The fire alarm went off twice and my 65 yr old parents had to walk dow the stairs ( from the 14th floor) To find out it was a false alarm. But the hotel was a nice hotel. One other thing a hotel should remember is don't put the head board back to back to the other room. Just in case the people on the other side wants to do it all night.

Easy to find. Centrally located. Exceeded our expectations greatly. The staff was attentive; room was roomy and modern; the bed oh-so-comfortable; great views as well.

Hotel was nice except for construction near the parking lot which made coming and going difficult. Hotel was also not aware of the welcome package that came with the room. Very nice pool and rooms are positives.

Our stay at the Hyatt Regency in Wichita was a wonderful experience! The room was beautifully and tastefully decorated, check-in was a breeze and the lobby was decked out for Christmas! This is our second stay here and we will definitely return whenever we have the opportunity to come to Wichita.

I would not stay here again simply based on paper thin walls. If it wasn't for that, I would recommend it.

You have to pay extra for everything for example: internet, parking, ect.. My door to my room rattled all night because it did not fit snug to the frame of the door. The walls are paper thin I could here my neighbors above us and on one side of us. The hotel itself is beautiful and everyone greets you all the time. This is a nice hotel located in downtown Wichita, overlooking the Arkansas River. Rooms are clean and updated. However, it is lacking some key features such as a refrigerator and microwave. This is one of the pricier hotels in Wichita. What you are paying for is the location and views. We were on the 7th floor and our window overlooked the Arkansas […] river with a great view of Lawrence-Dumont Baseball Stadium. As far as great views of Wichita, you won't find a better place. However, like I said, you are paying for the good location and room views. Our only real issue was the lack of refrigerator and microwave. We did also have a problem with people partying loudly on the outdoor patio 7 floors below us at 4:00am, but our stay was during the Wichita River Festival, so I doubt that it's a common occurence, but it's something to keep in mind. Overall, we would reccomend this hotel if you're looking to splurge a little. If you'd like to keep a little extra money in your wallet, look elsewhere. Lisez la suite

Clean, comfortable room, love location off the river walk, enjoyed stay.

I have stayed at this hotel several times in the past and have always LOVED it. I was a little disappointed on this stay. The first night we spent in a cramped, little room close to the elevator so everytime it would ding it would wake the baby up. It was also a room connected to another room so we could easily hear our neighbors having conversations. […] We were moved to a room the next night which was much better but there was not a refrigerator or microwave in the room when there normally used to be so we couldn't warm up the baby formula. The staff was excellent and did their best to accomodate us. I think they are just trying to cut costs and we didn't enjoy the amenities at this hotel that used to be there. Our stays at Holiday Inn Express have been enjoyed more and their price is more reasonable and you get a bigger room with a fridge and microwave and FREE breakfast. Nothing is free at the HYATT. You can have covered parking by a valet for $12.00 a night, you can park it yourself in a garage for $8.00 a night or you can park for free in a parking lot so far from the hotel that it would be a pain to walk to the door with two small children. Wasn't as impressed this time as I used to be. Holiday Inn Express has you beat this time Hyatt. Lisez la suite

I have stayed at quite a few places in Wichita, and most have been run down, tired or just not up to par. This was a very pleasant surprize. The hotel staff was very helpful and friendly. We arrived very late and the kitchen/bar went out of their way to get us served before closing the kitchen. The front desk crew was friendly and knowledgeable. Everything […] was clean, well kept and very nice. The price was great, especially in comparison to other rates at lesser hotels in the area. I will make this my main choice when in town! All I can say is that the location is perfect, the clerks were extremely friendly, and the comfort was unbeatable. Definitely worth every penny!!

Everything was as expected. The real treat was that Hotels.com ended up covering the cost of parking, a pleasant surprise indeed. Nice rooms, lobby and amenities!

This was an amazing Hotel, wonderful atmosphere and all of the staff were so courteous and helpful. This was the first time we stayed at the Hyatt and i will be looking for another one wherever we go....thank you for the experience of staying at your Hotel

The hotel is just beautiful. I wasn't expecting it to be as nice as it was. Very modern and clean. There is a little coffee shop on the premises. I have stayed in this hotel several times over the years, and it was always a model of elegance with a very luxurious decor. This trip I brought friends who had never been here and was apalled to find they had "remodeled." What had once been been a colorful, grand lobby had been reduced to little more than a cheap bus terminal with florescent lighting; […] and that was AFTER the remodeling was complete! What a massive disappointment! Apparently they tried to modernize, but the stark white emptiness of the lobby made me sick to my stomach. I used to enjoy the lobby. It was comfortable and inviting to wait there for friends and colleagues. I was once very willing to pay more to stay here because of the atmosphere. Now, rooms should go for half price just for having to put up with such attrocious surroundings. I grasp the need to update and renew, but this makes me never want to return to what used to be my favorite hotel in Wichita. Someone needs to tell the folks there that the reasons people choose a luxury hotel over other, cheaper hotels are because they want their experience to surpass what they have at home either in quality, comfort, service, or all three. In my opinion, the Hyatt did not meet there previous standard of excellence in two of those areas (quality & comfort). Lisez la suite

I always enjoy staying at the Hyatt in Wichita. It is always very clean and the staff is very friendly and helpful.. The covered garage is the best for downtown staying and in the warmer months it is fun to walk along the river1

We have stayed at this hotel several times a year and have always had outstanding service. The restaurant's food is superb--best we have experienced while staying at a 4 to 5 star hotel. When you book a room at THE Hyatt, you have certain expectations, which unfortunately were not met at this particular Hyatt. The walls were not soundproof, so every morning we woke to the neighbors taking their shower. The bathroom counter was not cleaned daily, and even though when we made our reservation we indicated that there would be four people […] in our room, we had to ask for an extra bath towel each day. There was a daily fee for parking, which seemed ridiculous for Wichita, Kansas, and especially when the parking garage was 90% empty during our stay. There was also no free coffee provided in the mornings, except for the tiny coffee maker in the room. We have had complimentary breakfasts at cheaper hotels, so not sure why we couldn't even get a complimentary cup of coffee that we didn't have to make ourselves. It seemed as if this particular Hyatt was about to go broke, since everything had a fee associated with it. The check in clerk was difficult to understand (heavy foreign accent), and did not bother to give us any information regarding how to get from parking garage back into the hotel upon check-in, so we really took a long round-about trip getting our luggage from our car to our room. Very Nice Hotel!! Would have liked to stay longer!!

I arrived later than planned but found the dining room still open. The next morning I looked out to see a great hike/bike/running trail along the river next to the hotel. Attractive, safe. Was glad I had tennis shoes with me.

The front desk staff was not helpful or friendly at all. When I booked the room I thought I was getting wi fi included. When I got there I wasn't able to log on so I called the front desk and asked how to log on. She said I didn't have it included in my room purchase and I would have to pay more money to get it. I paid a LOT for my room. For that amount […] of money I would expect wi fi! She didn't offer to add it or refer me to the manager, she just made her statement and suggested nothing else. Each time I spoke to someone at the front desk they were not helpful or accomodating at all. It was a convenient place to stay as I was attending a class at this hotel but I would rather stay elsewhere and drive over next time and feel as though I actually received something for my money. Very good location, right at the heart of the city. We were pleasantly surprised that within walking distance was the local AA baseball stadium so we went over for a game. The only challenge was actually getting to the hotel - there was a car show going on at the time and the roads coming in were blocked off. We went to a concert in Wichita and stayed at the Hyatt. The guy at check in was very friendly and very informative. He told us that there was a FREE shuttle to the concert. The driver was also very friendly. Really everyone there was GREAT!

The hotel stay was excellent, it was on the riverfront in Wichita, KS. We enjoyed the river walk. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room, the view were everything we had expected and more. I would recommend this hotel to anyone

We chose the hotel because of it's proximity to the Intrust Bank Arena. The hotel was within walking distance, and we found out once we got there that they also ran a shuttle to and from the arena for concert events. This was super-helpful as one of my friends had a broken ankle and wouldn't have been able to walk. The shuttle drivers were friendly, […] and they even gave us a ride before the scheduled shuttle times. After the concert the bar was quite busy, but given the number of people there, I felt like we did not have to wait long for service. I was very impressed by this. This was one of my 2 or more annual stays at the Hyatt - Wichita. Comfort of furnishings was as expected and room was nicely decorated. The lobby was under construction so that presented some minor inconveniences. The only things that are negatives are the total lack of services that one finds in most basic hotels. The absence of a free breakfast (either […] hot or continental) is replaced with a high quality room service - a plus except for the prices which rival most nice restaurants. High speed internet - a service that even most budget hotels offer for free - can be had for a price. You can either buy a day pass, or a week or more access. All around though the service is good, and if you do not mind paying extra for all the extras, and then some... Its a great place to stay. I didn't like the fact that I had to pay $8 for parking and almost $10 on top of that for Internet usage. Other than that, it was a pleasant stay.

We needed a place to getaway for the day/evening and were pleased by the comfort of the room, the cleanliness, and the bed was especially cozy! Nice view of the river too. Best of all, the in-room dining service was very quick and so delicious. The Cobb Salad was exceptional as was the cheesecake. We will be going back for another stay.

The hotel is a Hyatt alright...beautiful building and lobby, friendly and helpful staff. The room looked great and was very comfortable. The HD TV did not have an HD channel though, and many local stations came in with some static. The lack of a microwave or even a small fridge demonstrated the myopic focus on business travelers (it did have a very […] nice desk with an ergonomic chair for working). I would have to say of ALL the hotels we've stayed in... this one is by far soooo worth the money!!! It was reasonably inexpensive and everyone there was super nice!!! I would definately go there again!!!

Hotel didn't have an outdoor pool or even an outdoor deck which was beyond my understanding. The hotel also tried to charge $12/night for parking--in Wichita, KS?? Come on, get real!! It's not like there is a shortage of parking in that city.
