Everything was great except shower was weak and pillows were too soft. Hot tub needed more powerful jets. Staff very accommodating and eager to make our stay enjoyable.
"Outdoor light not desired"
Absolutely no way to close the curtains to prevent street lighting, lights from automobiles on the front street, and the ever too early sunrise. I prefer to stay in a hotel that offers quick breakfast. However on the weekends they remove oats as an option. "Middle of Remodel?"
The Hotel was packed... great for business.. not so much for our family wanting rest on a road trip. We were by the stairs which had a revolving door the entire night. The room was in the middle of a remodel (I hope). The trim was down on half of the room - spackle was showing. Breakfast food was fine. There wasn't enough seating so we took food to […] the room. "Good price; nice hotel"
Travelling from Ontario, we stayed both on our trip down, and back from myrtle beach. Quite a nice hotel for the price. Room was nice and clean. Staff were friendly. Loved the breakfast. We have young children, and they loved the nice indoor pool. Will definitely stay again if we travel this way.

Both on stay down March 6,2012 and back March 24 at the Beckley Hotel everything was very good however the staff on the front desk, with the exception of 2 - a lady and a man, they never broke a smile on greeting. This is important when greeting people traveling.

"Best Comfy Hotel in Beckley, WV"
I am from Northern VA near Washington,DC and I have recently had to take trips to Beckley, WV to visit an ill family member and I have to say that this was one of the best hotels I stayed in. The hotel has a nice southern comfort feel and the rooms still feel upscale and nice. The hotel also has a very yummy breakfast buffet with the motherload of all […] southern foods and all other breakfast delights such as- corned beef hash, sausage, eggs, belgian waffles, danishs, donuts, muffins, cereals, fruit and oatmeal! The breakfast alone is worth the few extra bucks to stay at this hotel over the other hotels on Harper Road. The room are very clean and the beds are really comfy. My only complaint is that I didn't like the pillows which are the down pillows and I am used to firm pillows but that is preference. I would highly recommend this hotel also to anyone who has a pet! :) I enjoyed my stay at this hotel very much! :) Lisez la suite
My husband and I stayed here on our way to Tenn. We were so pleased that we stayed there again on our wat home. We are already planning next years trip and this is where we will stay. Wonderful!!!
"Clean Quite Convenient"
Clean rooms. Quiet. Great location. I prefer a breakfast bar to make my travel morning easier. Was disapointed only once when the oatmeal was not on the bar. Except for this one time adequate choices for those that prefer to maintain good health were adequate.

People stationed at the Front Desk should be required to make eye contact! Not only did she leave me standing while she finished her conversation with another employee, she kept her head down and went to her station and promptly asked "name, please" without EVER looking up! Rude, lady! Equipment in the breakfast room needs repair or replaced so it will […] work properly, but as with everthing else, "we are waiting on the refurbishment", which could take months!!!!! "great pass through place"
We were able to get a room and stay right off of I-77 in WVa, clean and surrounded by a lot of dining option, breakfast was very good as well.

excellent value for one night overnight stay -nice pool area, excellent breakfast as an inclusion-many restaurants nearby-close to main highway- free internet and clean and comfortable room.
"Fine, friendly place for an overnight"
Stayed here last Sunday and wind were pleased with all aspects of it. Friendly check-in clerk gave us a quieter room without our asking.Room was clean- newer TV, breakfast a cut above the average. Good price. Would definitely stop here again.

Very clean. Very comfortable beds. A great buffet breakfast. The rates are slightly above others in the area but well worth the extra cost.

Our overnight stay at this Country Inn & Suites was great. The room was clean and comfortable. Tons of restaurants close by. Quick and easy access off of I77. The complementary breakfast was the best my wife and I have seen with plenty of tables to seat yourself. They have just about everything you can think of for a good hearty breakfast.

I was only in the hotel for about 10 hours, but the room was clean, it was conveniently located and the gentleman at the front desk was very courteous. My only complaint was that the pillows were way too soft for my liking.

The staff was professional and friendly. The lobby and rooms were decorated tastefully, and were welcoming. Nice breakfast area, and good breakfast of waffles, eggs, sausage, etc. A little bit of discoloration on the ceiling above the shower, but overall nice room.

I called this hotel on Thursday night before making our reservation because we were so looking forward to using the hot tub. I called to ensure that it was working as I'd seen a review that said it wasn't. She told me that it had been corrected and the hot tub was working fine. We tubed at Winterplace on Saturday, get the hotel about 8:30 and find not […] only is the hot tub not working, but the "indoor pool" is NOT heated (open to the outside pool, so the water is cold), but the chlorine smell was so strong my asthmatic daughter couldn't even stand to be in the pool area. Everything was very good, the only thing that could be better was tht the breakfast room could be a little larger, all three days the hotel was booked with ski trips and it was very diffcult to get breakfast whether we wnt early or later.

Nice, clean hotel to stop on the way from NY to Myrtle Beach. Breakfast ok, nothing special. Our kids enjoyed swimming in the pool.

Room was not luxurious, but clean and comfortable. A very good deal for the price. Our room was strangely warm in February with temperatures near 35 F outside, but the AC cooled it down nicely. The breakfast was excellent and as complete a breakfast as anyone could want with eggs (hard & scrambled w/sausages), hot and cold cereal, fruit, fruit juices, […] waffles, bagels, biscuits and gravey. I love staying @ country inn! Every 1 was great & helpful. Jackson was especially helpful. He actually went above & beyond the call of duty! Terrific man! The place is so cozy & comfortable. Very warm & inviting. I will definately stay here again.

Very nice, clean, GREAT breakfast! would stay anytime. Nice for shopping within an hour and a half of Coldwater Creek center.
