Not at all pleased with the room rate provided by Hotels.com of $125 + tax, which supposedly included our AARP discount for a room which otherwise would not have been rented. Had to wake the desk attendant upon our arrival. The following evening we stayed at a Hampton Inn in Asheboro, NC, about 1 1/2 hours away for $79 + tax, but with AARP discount, […] paid a total of $79.64, a $60+ difference. "Friendliness is their byword"
The friendliness of the staff is amazing. For example, my GPS took me to a location well removed from the motel. When I called, I got Candis on the phone. With a few simple questions she was able to determine where I was, and gave me clear directions to the motel. Once there, one of the rooms was not ready. The overall room was nice, but the hallways and room smelled horrible of cold igarette smoke! The carpets must be removed and replaced in order to make the area designated non-smoking to not smell.Avis véridique Hotels.com

"Southern hospitality at its best"
The staff is the greatest. Although the hotel is physically placed in an odd location, it is close to a variety of things. Side note- if you are using your GPS you have to put in Hampton Drive not Circle. Otherwise you will end up in Laurel Hill! About 15 mins away!!!Avis véridique Hotels.com
