Before checking into this hotel I was very skeptical with some of the reviews i read. For the $ I paid, this place is great. General manager is kind and easy to work with. Room is standard plenty of room and nice and clean. The neighborhood is fine, I didn't worry about a thing. I would stay here again.

Clerk at check-in was very nice and competent and check in was smooth. Parking was awful!! Only a few spaces so had to park down street and carry bags. And a bit of a scary area. Very bad smell in the room. Room did seem clean and someone had made an effort to keep it up. Hotel was very small but well kept and clean. The hot water takes awhile to make it to the room. No coffee in room, and no coffee shops within walking (not really a walk around area anyway). The whole 'Breakfast' available is a joke. It consisted of toast, coffee or orange juice. Doesn't start/open till 7:00, so if you are an early riser and like a […] cup o' joe first thing..... The room did its job as far as somewhere to sleep. However, there was no hot water in the shower when I went to get in in the morning. I can't say that I will be back any time soon.

The description says complimentary parking, but if you arrive in the evening, forget it. There was myself and three other guests circling the neighborhood and each other, for a parking space. The clerk was very nice and courteous and I appreciated her effort. The room was clean but very sparse. The outside view from the street was a little scary. But I was very impressed by the wonderful, helpful young lady at the desk. The room was comfortable and clean. Parking is crowded, but adequate. All in all a very nice stay for the money. Good value!

The breakfast is whole wheat break and fake juice. The hotel is not clean and is poorly maintained. There is almost no service when needed such as we could not get the Internet to work at all.

Located near the 10/405 interchange and the L. A. airport, this was a perfect spot to stay for my business meeting and was easy on my budget. Clean hotel with clean room, comfortable bed, mini refrigerator, microwave, etc. Bathroom was clean. Definitely will stay here again if needing to stay in that area again. Cool vegan restaurant and a Brazilian restaurant 2 blocks away.

Beware, when I called to book room, Hotels.com booking agent says that rate would be higher than listed on their website; very annoying! Room was decent at best, had a broken alarm clock sitting unplugged next to bed. Come on, either replace with a working alarm clock or at least remove the broken one. Thin walls and street noise. Paint peeling, but the room was very clean, no mold or musty odor and no cobwebs. As a place to simply sleep, it was just fine. The breakfast was a disappointment. I was there for a week on business and the staff were really friendly and helpful. I did manage to get a parking ticket when the parking lot was full as I didn't ready the street sweeping signs so just watch out for that if you have to park on the street.

The Hotel looked fine from the outside courtyard, small but clean. The room was another thing altogether. Although it was relatively clean, it lacked simple comforts that usually come with any hotel room - specifically in the bathroom. First: the handle was missing from the inside of the bathroom door. Once closed, you couldn't get out. I was lucky […] that my wife opened the door when I tried in vain to open the door and ended up knocking so that she could open it. Second, there were only two towels in the bathroom - no hand towels or washcloths. Third, there was only one little bar of soap - no shampoo or conditioner and no lotion. The last deterrent to stay here was the level of noise from the room upstairs on the second floor. You could hear the bed and the floor/ceiling squeak any time the occupants would move. When we got there the lady behind the desk didn't speak English and could not find our reservation even though we had a confirmation number so we had to wait 45 mins for her boss to show up.. she then offered us a ground floor room which they didn't even have available so when we got to our room which was a non smoking room.. it smelled like a ash tray […] and the smoke detector was missing from the wall.. and after all that the bed was horrible and pillows were I don't even know if you would call them pillows they were that bad. The air condition was so loud and would turn on and off every 20 mins .... It had to be the worst night I ever stay anywhere Lisez la suite

Great hotel for tourists. Close to Hollywood, the ocean and also pretty close to downtown. We got a great welcome with all the info we needed for our stay from the guy who was working that evening, Chandrabhan. Overall easy to recommend the place!

the hotel was not good to find . the hotel itself was ok no coffee maker. The parking was horrible better park in the streeet. no washer or dryer it was broke. internet was free. and good.little high price for the room.. unless you can't find another hotel and only for one night it's ok.Even with my gp the freeway was hard to find.

Although I requested non-smoking room, the room reeked of smoke. However, management immediately moved me to another room which was fine. The parking is behind the building, and access means I had to walk around the whole place in the dark (lit, but still...) to get back to the front of hotel to go to my room. Since I travel alone, this was not good. […] The room was clean and comfortable, and close to my final destination, so it worked for me, but I wouldn't stay there again. This is only one step above a no-tell motel. Pluses: Free WiFi and Ethernet, newspaper, relatively clean, new TV, away from freeway. Minuses: not enough offstreet parking, lame breakfast, could never get TV channels to work, on noisy street. The main problem is that this is a 50+ year old motel with lots of deferred maintenance (or at best a coat of […] paint). That my door molding was split (i.e. someone bused the door in and they didn't put new molding in) was a bad sign, and everything else was consistent with cutting corners on maintenance.
