Don't even think of this in comparison to UK airport hotels - this place is perfect in every way Incredible service from check in to dinner to early morning coffeee Worth every penny !

Great Airport Location Very Friendly Staff

Great hotel for an overnight stay at the Munich Airport. My one complaint is that it was not as close to our arrival terminal as we hoped (Terminal 1, flying in from Rome). It was quite a walk, made more difficult with all our baggage. Still once there, we found plenty of food an entertainment options to keep us and our kids happy.

Excellent hotel, however, very expensive during the week. Stayed there on the weekend when the room price is within my company's budget.

The hotel is great except that the mattress has some form of plastic cover over it , which makes it very hot.The bed is also very hard.

This is the best location for flying out of Munich on an early morning flight. It is just a short walk to the terminals. It is a luxury and very convenient hotel.

This is a perfect hotel if you have an early flight, .. Not a 5 star hotel in my book, the restaurant charges $13.00 for a small bottle of sparkling water....ABSURD !!!, The carpets are terribly thirty , the T.V are from 100 years ago, .....needs defenetly a remake, The front desk is friendly & good, ...Customer Service in this Hotel makes it worth […] your money....but defenetly needs improvement on the all care of the Hotel. no 5 star for sure...more like a 2 star hotel. Hotel is very nice, high end materials & lay-out. We unfortunately got a room on the 1st level facing the courtyard, which only gave us a good view of the speakers & other equipment above the stage. Breakfast also very nice but overpriced at 31 EU/person. Short walking distance to the International Lufthansa flights.

accomodations were fine. The dining service and food were BELOW PAR. We waited over 25 minutes for entray.Food was so salty it was uneatable. My wife sent the dish back. I am sure our oorder was lost and the wait staff never admited to it. All we got was "we are checking on it". Then we got the cold shoulder and were avoided. For a five star hotel I was surprised that the hallway carpet was very soiled, didn't give a very good first impression. Our room was clean and nicely furnished, we received a "real person" wakeup call in the early morning which we appreciated. This airport hotel can boast a very high level of service across all aspects of the staff encountered by us. The "breakfast included" feature of our stay made this a good value and, of course, you can't beat the convenience of walking from the hotel to your gate.

Excellent hotel and ideally situated within airport complex and adjacent to car rental return making it an ideal transfer point at the end of a journey/holiday, especially for an early morning flight.

Very conveniently located at the airport. Very friendly and on top of all needs. Hotel has much better than average rooms for Europe.

The hotel was very convenient for a stopover in Munich, very pleasant and helpful staff, very nice atmosphere - and pleasant dining. Would highly recommend it.

I had never stayed at Kempinski Hotel and was looking forward to the experience on a recent business trip to Munich. I had an overnight stopover between flights and my meetings and so intended to stay in the hotel and get on with some work. The location is just perfect as it is the only hotel right in the middle of the two terminal buildings. I checked […] in early around 13:00 and my room was ready. First thing I noticed was that the signage around the hotel is very poor indeed. It took me some time to find the lifts to my room on the 4th floor and trying to follow the signs to the Business Centre later was just impossible. The biggest disappointment for me was my room. I had expected something on the same level as a Four Seasons, or a very good Intercontinental or Hyatt Grand. What I got was just the same as a good Hilton. The problems? Ok - well where to start. Firstly, the in-room wifi was appalling! The connection was very poor and the signal constantly dropped. There was a fault whereby I could receive but not send email. Most frustrating. The sent someone to look at it and, frankly, he did not have a clue. They told me someone else from the Business Centre would come. I waited in my room for over two hours and no one appeared. However, when I switched the TV on I was told that there was a message waiting. This message simply said that someone would come and try to fix the wifi. It didn't happen but - worse still - the message on the screen refused to clear and it was impossible to watch any TV. Incidentally the TV itself was a small old style CRT set. I haven't seen a set like this in a five star hotel for over 4 years! I would have expected better. Anyway, again someone came to repair the TV and allow me to watch something other than the message on the screen. The guy who came was baffled and could not fix the problem. He had to call for help several times and after speaking to two separate experts, eventually managed to clear the message and so I was able to wa Lisez la suite

We have used this hotel many times to finish our stay in south Germany . Easy to get rid of your rent car , all the shopping available including gifts and groceries. Jump on the S-ban and you are down town in 30 min. Then free transportation to your gate when departing. Note their breakfast is extremely expensive so we eat in the airport.

We have stayed in the hotel twice now.Wished we had stayed there on our 1st visit to munich,catching trains,buses to get to an early morning flight is a problem. We stayed at the Kempinski on our 2nd and 3rd visits. A beautiful,contemporary hotel. The service was 1st class. You would never know it was a hotel at an airport! The hotel is excellent directly connected to the departures area at the airport. The bell boy will deliver your luggage to the check-in desk. Everything is extremely well maintained. The restaurant serves good food and the staff is very friendly. Great if you travel with kids - the staff tries to make it easy for you.

The principal reason for selecting this hotel is its location right AT the Munich airport. Other than that, I would not select this hotel. The decor is avant-garde 9 (metal and glass) and the rooms are basic by American standards. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. The best hotel in the Munich airport area. In fact it is the only one that can be accessed directly from both terminals. We had an 18 hour layover in Munich and decided to spend a little extra for the convenience of staying practically inside the airport. I was very happy with the decision, as the hotel was a short walk from the terminal and the S-Bahn station...no shuttles or cab rides necessary. Also, the hotel is gorgeous, and the room was spotless. My only complaint […] is the light from the lobby permeates the room even when the curtains are drawn. During our stay here, we were bothered in our room by housekeeping no less that 7 times in two hours, despite the fact we put out the do not disturb sign. The final stroke was, when the housekeeping staff just opened the door and walked in the room, I ended up removing him by the collar and belt and called security.

Great rooms & easy access by shuttle or underground to all terminals. Airport has shopping, a Chrismas market (seasonal), & even rock band entertainment.

Luxury hotel directly at the MUC airport. Top restaurant on site w/excellent food, modern architecture. 5 min walk to all terminals, courtesy shuttle also available. No free internet/wireless in rooms.

Great location and wonderful hotel and staff.

Right inside the Munich airport with wonderful rooms and terrific service (including a place to check in on-line.) Great breakfast. Walk outside the door for a fun German beer garden for dinner.

very convenient hotel for the airport, clean, and pleasant. the problems were in the bathroom the sink did not drain, and could have used some more towels and a shower cap. in checking in and out there was confusion over payment, they did not have on their records that we paid thru Hotels .com and that the breakfast was included. breakfast was nice. otherwise […] pleasant stay would do it again. Beautiful hotel; polite staff, perfect location, fantastic breakfast, stunning!

The location of the hotel made it perfect for a one night stop over. Right in the terminal area with a subway stop so that a quick trip into the city was easy and fast. They were very friendly and helpful and fluent in various languages. Overall, a very nice place to stay. Wish I had more time there to use all they offered.

Fantastic hotel from check in to check out! Best breakfast of our 10 day, three country travels. Its location attached to the airport was perfect especially when our luggage arrived a day after us! Highly recommended and plan to return again!

The Kempinski Hotel at Munich Airport was the perfect place to stay before a morning flight. They were very welcoming, friendly and helpful. We were only a few steps from our terminal to leave on a mid-morning flight the next day. There was even time to enjoy the fabulous breakfast buffet before we left! I would highly recommend this hotel!

I travelled with 2 kids from Western Canada to Eastern Europe. We planned sleepover at Kempinski. It was comfortable and clean. The bathroom was awesome. We also used spa and pool facilities. Good value and nice family place.

I've had mixed experiences at airport hotels, but this one went beyond any expectation. The space is lovely, the room was just right (on the nice side), the exercise facility was good, the in-house dining was reasonable (with some options for vegetarians), and the (larger) breakfast buffet was excellent. Here's a sense of their attention to detail. […] At the breakfast buffet, they not only had bircher muesli, they also had five other kinds of dry muesli, along with about six different kinds of milk: whole, two kinds of skim, fat-free, soy, and goat's. You're lucky if you can more than one kind (and often things like soy milk are hidden in the back). Here, it was all out in the open. But what really made this place special was the staff. Not only was everyone friendly (without a hint of superiority), every person I interacted with for any duration asked at least once whether they could do something extra (newspapers, a little extra of the side dish, a second wake call, etc.). And when I left a comment on check-out about a small issue, within two days I had received a *personalized* letter saying they would address the concern. Sometimes 5 points on a 5-point scale just does not adequately classify a great hotel, such as the Kempinski Hotel Airport Munich. In short, I give it 6 points, at a minimum!

Excellent service, excellent location, would definintely refer to all my friends and will definitely stay at another Kempinski facility. My sons and their families traveled with us and they were just as impressed.
